I started this as a joke. I expected everyone to get a laugh and move on. I didn't expect this to turn into a debate. It's a sad day in music when you expose someone as a fraud and no one cares. Back in the day if something this would've happened dude would get laughed out the business.

It seems like all you have to do is put a record out and you'll have tons of fanboys ready to defend you, even if you have no skill or ability. A "hot" song and getting paid is all that matters. Have we blacks truly because a society drven by greed? Is money really GOD to you guys? As long as someone is getting paid it doesn't matter if they have skill or not?

I ask this because people are getting all upset that this dude is getting truly exposed and all they can say is "he getting paid." WTF does that mean? We should praise this guy or anyone else who has money and if we don't we're a hater? That make absolutely no sense.

Music is meant to be criticized and scrutinized and enjoyed. It's not meant to be taken as is. If there was no criticism, how would people know what they are doing wrong and how would they improve? It's seems that today's fan will just accept anything and defend it like a caged dog if someone says anything against it. These fans know nothing about music and try to tell the people that do something in which we know is untrue.

I can bet more than 70% of today's artists have no musical training. In certain producers you can tell they do and certain producers you can tell they just got FL and made some shit. People will co-sign it no matter what and the music is suffering because of dumb ass fans that hold these artists to no standards whatsoever.

There is no quality. We have to get out of this celbrity worship that's prevalent in today's society. Stop acting like white people. That's their shit. The thing about black music was even though the artists back in the day were celebrities in white people's eyes, they were regular people who happened to be great musicians and singers. We had a different regard for them in a way that others can't understand.

You guys have put today's artists-that have no business being in the business-on a level they are unworthy of, all because they are "getting paid." If you guys knew one third of what I know about the music business your whole perspective would be different. I guess ignorance is bliss.

You sound like someones father...seriously. You have to remember music changes over generations. What was cool for one generation will not be cool for another. Sounds like you are older and are use to hearing a certain sound and style of music. The Snap music is what is cool this generation. Sampling is also cool this generation. For example the New Jack Swing sound was what most people grew up on who was born between 1977 & 1981. That sound and style of music is dated.

Saying someone does not have talent is moronic. It takes alot of talent to write and produce a hit song. You have to understand that you have out grown music of this generation. That does not mean that the artist suck and have no talent. You just like a particular sound to your music and there is nothing wrong with that. The music that you like the generation that was older then you did not like your music.

that average person will never understand it.......the vocoder plugin in autotunes is not supposed to make you sound like you can sing, it adds a robotic effect to your voice...........Now there are plugins in autotunes that will bend the pitch of your vocals without adding the robotic effect.......many artists from ashanti to mary j. blige use it and you dont notice it because it doesnt have a robot effect to it. T-pains vocoder is the equivalent of me playing the drums for 60 seconds, sample that and make a song....What are people gonna say "oh your a fake drummer because you sampled your own loop and added an effect or 2"?................In that case we gotta come at swizz beats and timbaland as well, because they dont play everything out

Record sales, radio spins, and production tells me that the majority of people love T Pain. They love T Pain because of his sound. Almost ever hit record out on the market today T Pain is on there. Some of the biggest names in the music business said that working with T Pain in the studio was amazing. For those who don't know T Pain is a trained musician and can play multiple instruments.

In an Interview T Pain stated that he learned how to play multiple instruments as a child growing up. He also stressed that artist coming up should learn how to play instruments if it is only just a piano. He also mentioned that producing and writing is where the money is at. He stressed that he knows he will not be hot as a artist for long. He said his production and song writing will keep him paid for years to come. T Pain also said he never really liked the sound. Most of the time he would record the song in his normal voice and when they mastered and mixed the song they would put the sound over his voice with out him knowing. On his 1st album he only used it on one song. He said it became so popular that he decided to run with it and use it. He also said that he didn't think his album would sale huge because of his sound and his song writing might not go over well with the public. His production and sound writing ability has earned him the award of the most in demand producer. Everyone wants him on their songs.

When people say that someone is "getting money" that does not mean they are paid out the ass from selling records. It means that they have chose a profession which involves hustle.

I am not co-signing T-Pain as a vocalist just as a singer. That's it.

Aaliyah was not a vocalist.
Donnel Jones is not a strong vocalist.
