I need to do better with this. At times I find myself being too generous and/or lenient with what I allow, forgetting that it rarely gets better or improves going forward.
I will add that this is a societal phenomena. This country/ society has beguiled black women with the romantic fantasies and standards that white women live & enjoy but have always been a far cry from black women's reality.
Let's be mindful that much of what we, as black people (both men & women), deal with in this country is systemic.

Too many men view losing a love as a singular thing. It is not. Often, she misses you or regrets the loss as well.
