you don't need to buy boxes or media servers or anything of the sort. just have a good wireless N network in the house and use your tv's media streaming capabilities...

was basically doing this a few years ago via intel widi. streaming from laptop to tv. its cool but doesnt serve the purpose of what i trying to do now.

i want the dedicated box because its easier to manage everything including gaming w/ a dope interface w/ 1 remote without having to ever go to another computer to make adjustments or whatever. everything on the 1 box and the tv is its monitor... gaming, torrents, music, video, newsgroups.

when he was posting items for sale a few years ago, i had asked for a home theater he posted.

then it came out in the ock thread that nobody was really getting the items. i think 1 person actually got the shit they ordered. the other 20 mf's were all on hold. i dont remember the exact situation but the shit was funny looking back. i think it was more of a smokescreen during the ock or something. but since then i still havent bought the speakers i want. i think im subliminally punishing myself for almost taking the bait...

but back to the subject @ hand...

I'm tired of streaming or having to connect a hard drive via the PS3 or xbox.

everyone who paid for one got one. total of 5-6 people got one from this site. only one person stepped forward and admitted to getting his. no money, no home theater

no im saying u were stalling at the time that i wanted the shit, pushing me off and making excuses for why u didnt have the equipment... then trying to avoid replying to the issue when i addressed it in the ock thread. u never asked me for any money.

...but i think it came out that u caught a case or 2 on some financial/credit card related shit so in the end it was all for the better. no hard feelings whatsoever. but dont lie on me bro.

if i didn't sell you one it was just i couldn't get anymore to sell. you were making it out as if i took your money or something. everyone who paid for something got theirs. i didn't take orders then turn around and refund if i ran out i only took payment if i had their stuff in my hand ready to ship. it ended up being about 5-6 yamaha 7.2 home theaters, a few cameras, a 200 disc dvd changer, one samsung tv, some car speakers and 3 car radios

Can I implement some of the things mentioned here and still get channels like disney? Or nickelodeon,. My daughter loves those two channels.

i will say this. even tho clearwire is listed last, i borrowed my neighbors clearwire puck when my shit went down last month and I was getting 8- 10 mbps consistently. not superfast but definitely doable. all depends on how close u are to a tower and how over subscribed that particular tower is... i think.
