The greed is through the roof. The point of paying for these services like Hulu and Amazon etc was to remove commercials . So what the fuck we paying for then? Vacations for the Execs to the Azors? You get ad revenue and our monthly ? I really hate this shit. Everything was commercial free at first then we get hit with 2 minute ads. It’s fucking absurd

When Cable TV was introduced in the 1970s, it was commercial free, that’s how they initially sold it to people.

Look at cable now….

i get your point....but all that will happen is that the cable companies will buy that provider...

i have Cox...they now offer cell phone service....they want it ALL....
 
Check your cellular and cable services. Many give free streaming channels that you don't know about. If you have to go up a plan for the freebies do the math to see if its worth it. Not by their price but by the black friday sale prices.

If you keep cable they have a streaming service for their cable channels I know FIOS and XFiniti have an online service to use when away from home.

I'll check that out. Yeah, fios have a streaming service but we would have to check the prices to see if it's worth it. But it'll be for backup, just in case something goes wrong with IPTV.

We already cancel most premium channels already that we don't watch costing too much with shows being on there because we have IPTV and amazon prime to watch watch we need. But we have basic local cable channels they we would soon get antenna to reduce out cost even further. But would probably have to keep 1 cable box for my grandmother since she doesn't know how to use the stuff we have.

Where? No such thing as free or bootleg internet. Well there was for a little bit, but it wasn't totally free and didn't last long either. But yeah people bounce back-and-forth between providers including using those trash ass hotspots from the cell phone companies. Until they realize how trash they are. But you have to get your Internet from somewhere. That's never going away.
 
There are local municipalities around the country providing free broadband WIFI for the community.

It’s usually in predominantly White communities.

Exactly! They have a monopoly on cable and internet service. I pay over $100 for internet service alone. If there were any type of competition we would be getting way better internet speeds than we are currently getting. Cable Lobbyists be paying Congress off, that's why nothing never changes.. Smh!

They are going with fiber or wireless internet. In most major cities, wireless is more than adequate for the things most people do, Stream video FaceTime/zoom and downloading games. They don't care if it's slower, hell with fiber it's superior. They just don't want to deal with Comcast/Spectrum anymore.

I'm getting ready to move soon and I'll have to drop Google Fiber to go back to Comcast, I'm dreading it an prey that AT&T will step up someday. I don't like them either, but it's still better than giving Comcast money.

Cable companies are always gonna get their cut. Many people don't realize that a lot of the fiber running to cell phone towers are from companies like Spectrum and Comcast. I just fixed a cell tower the other day for US cellular. Spectrum fiber is running to it. But I get it. Ive always said if I didn't work for this company and got all my services free, I wouldn't pay for cable television at all. Internet only.
