Who needs to do this?
In our opinion… Everyone and anyone that is sending text messages to the United States.Policy states that it is just messages from US numbers to US citizens. However, in our testing, we have had Canadian and UK numbers fail to send messages from unregistered sub accounts due to A2P compliance. So if you are sending ANY texts to the US. You should go through this registration process.
Business Registration:
Business registration is based off the company profile settings in your sub account settings.
When submitting your registration, best practices are to make sure the business information is exactly as it is on the businesses EIN, CBN, or sole proprietor registrations.
NOTE: Your business “Friendly” name is not the name that is being used to register the business. This name can be whatever DBA you want it to be. Just ensure that the actual business name matches the business registration information.
You can use the DBA website URL when registering the business website, just make sure that the footers on your website display the registered business name on all funnels and websites.
Business registration requires a Tax ID through EIN, CBN, Etc in order to get A2P Registered. (for US Based companies, this is a From CP575G from the IRS)
