Actually my body is changing my chest, shoulders and back are getting big and stomach has gone down!Man I cant see why you dont look at the fatty areas on your body and judge by whether they are shrinking or not. So what ur 268 now, alot of football players are 268 and ripped.
So what you get to 228 but if you still look like a mushy pile of playdoe is that success?? No. It matters more if your body is changing in the mirror, if you pants size is shrinking or if you're seeing defintion

I get what you're saying but I think the brother is using the scale as a way to quantify his progress. In my experience with both fitness and personal goals, QUANTIFYING your goals is essential to your success. He has two ways to look at it...
A. I want to look nice in the mirror. - But what does "look nice" really mean? "Look nice" is completely respective to the person in the mirror.
B. I want to lose 40 pounds in 40 days.
Using numbers to measure your success works quite well as long as you have a realistic view on things. From what I've gathered reading this thread, I dont think this brother is going to throw up his hands and quit if he's up 2 pounds on the scale. Sounds like the scale is a quick way for him to snapshot his progress or lackthereof.
OP please let me know if I'm off base with the above comments. I doubt that I will be.

im a lil too heavy for that right now maybe when i get down to 240 i can do the sprinting and jumping thing.. right now its just to much weight on me for my knees to handleGood stuff brother. If you looking to switch up your cardio a bit I'd encourage you to look into H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training). Not sure how much you know or dont know about it but a quick Google search will give you tons of info (suggested intervals/sets, metabolic benefits, etc).
It's essentially balls to the wall sprinting/biking/jump roping etc. for some time interval (1 min typically) followed by an interval of rest (30s - 1 min) for a set # of cycles. I wont lie to you though...its tough but it will get you the results you want.

Get yo ass one of these. It will tell you when your heart is in the fat burning zone. If you wear it to the gym the elliptical, treadmill, and bikes will sense it and display the readings. It ensures you are burning fat and not over or under training. Polar is a good brand. Body Bug is what they use on the biggest loser and it's the Bentley of Heart Rate Monitors. They're about $500.

Weekly, since I'm near my target weight the scale isn't going to tell the full story so I look in the mirror constantly throughout the day.
Yeah water only...Some people say that stay away artifically sweetened beverages because it may trick your body into spiking your insulin levels. They say others can get away with it so I just stay away. I also snack on pepperoni, slim jims, and bbq pork rinds to get thru the day.
What does this have to do with this thread and FUCKYOU. No way does he fit that criteria. He needs to shed weight. Period. Dropping 8pounds and trying to cut will do nothing for him. He has too much stress on his body and joints and he needs to drop pounds. AT FUCKYOU's size and weight, he needs to go by that scale for now.This is my whole point. I have a friend who went from Fat and out of shape to ripped in 7 months. The difference in his weight loss is only 8 pounds. But yet his body shredded. He's physique is about 2 sizes smaller than Micheal J. White.
