I agree with everything except Hopkins. I think Hopkins believes he can beat everyone (and damn near has) so I don't really think he cherry picks. I just think he's trying to be smarter about the fights he does pick since he has so few left.
If you look back he was calling out Roy after he beat Trinidad and it was Roy who was ducking him.
He fought Taylor when he had no real name and there was no real call for him to fight him, nobody would have said shit if he didn't.
He fought Calzaghe, which stylistically would always be a tough fight, when he didn't have to. He fought Tarver and Pavlik when nobody in the world gave him a chance in hell to win (Particularly against Pavlik).
The same with this last Pascal fight, nobody gave him a shot and he took a kid 20 years younger to school and I expect him to do it again in two weeks.

Pick apart Manny's performance all you want, and some of you are reaching like hell, but the reason a lot of the recent fights he's had have had fighters running and fighting out of character (Cotto, Clotty, Shane), has everything to do with the wood he was laying on them and the fear of what was coming back, and absolutely nothing to do with the fight being 'fixed'!!! It was just one year ago that Floyd took apart a Mosley coming off a great win. Last night Manny struggled to find a Mosley coming off a loss and a shitty performance. That's all I know. If Manny could make the type of money Floyd is making without having to give Arum about half of it - you'd prolly only see him once a year as well.

What did ANY of that rant have to do with what I said? Face it, Manny failed to whup a 40 year old Mosley who was even more shot than when he faced Floyd. You can talk about Floyd not fighting all you want, and you're 100% right. You know I'M not the one who's gonna disagree with you about Floyd. Nonito Donaire vs Fernando Montiel
Victor Ortiz's upset of Andre Berto
Brandon Rios vs Miguel Acosta
Orlando Solis's upset over Juanma (who was one fight away from a mega fight with Gamboa)
Vic Darchinyian as always putting on a great and entertaining fight against Yonnhy Perez
Yuriorkas Gamboa vs Jorge Solis.
Maidana vs Morales, another surprising and entertaining fight.
Khan vs Maidana was a cliffhanger (not this year but at the end of last year and within the last 6 months)
Cotto vs. Mayorga was even a surprisingly good and entertaining fight.
And these are the fights only with the names you may know and this is only the 5th month of the year, we're not even halfway through.
Novice boxing fans will watch a fight like this with two huge names that disappoints and suddenly condemn the whole sport when in reality the sport is fine (Outside of the Heavyweight division) guys like you just aren't watching unless its a real popular fight. You completely miss rise of up and comers and don't pay attention until there already on top.

The fight didn't live up to the hype only because Mosley was shook, I'm a Mosley fan and wanted him to win but after he got knocked down, he was gun shy.
Manny couldn't gun blazing because Mosley can bang, so he had to have full control of his offensive game and not go throwing crazy 8 punch combos, this was a strategy that they probably worked on.
Manny wanted to fight but Shane was being defensive, unlike Clottey that held his guard up and stayed within Manny's range, Shane was skilfully running.
I even remember Manny urging him to fight but Shane wouldn't, Manny's the real deal and trust me I want someone to put out his fire so all these Youtubers and people that think he's god can go away.
The fight wasn't a set up like some are saying, but Mosley needs to retire now, his last fight with Mora stank too but I thought he probably couldn't get up for someone like Mora.

It is what it is fam. You wanna know how Floyd could embarrass Manny's camp right now? Forget the drug testing and go on a full media blitz about how he want Pacman next, 50/50 split, they can choose the venue and anything else they want. Call his bluff. I guarantee you Manny's team will come up with some outrageous demands or post some type of road block so the fight can't be made. They'd rather fight Marquez than fight Floyd, since they'll be making JMM move up to 147.
Floyd could have done that before but he never wanted the fight. If he does start screaming he wants the fight for 50/50 with no tests it'll probably be simply because he thinks Pac has fallen off. I don't hold both guys equally culpable for the fight not coming off because Floyd seems like he doesn't want to participate in boxing in general.

Floyd retired that first go round and came back solely for that Pac payday. I think he was content before that and the only reason he fought Mosley was for a quick check. Floyd is so hated that he is at Tyson status... He can always come back and get paid off his name regardless of who he fights... really he has admitted that he is about the business more than the sport.
Pac on the other hand wants to prove he is the best and there is no other fighter that he can fight that will allow him to make that claim with the masses.
