*** Super Fight: Manny Pacquiao vs. 'Sugar' Shane Mosley OFFICIAL thread ***

THAT FIGHT WAS FIXED!!!!

It looked like Shane was paid NOT to throw anything.

These fools touching gloves and giving each other props at the beginning and end of each round. :smh::smh:

Something stinks here.

They definitely fought like it was already some type of agreement in place.

Shane is always touching gloves and trying to make friends during the fight so that his opponent will not try to knock him out. Manny was falling for it all night long and only seemed to put that friend stuff aside after the fake knockdown got called on him.

Ummm... he DID exactly that.

Pacquiao 'cut the ring off' in the middle rounds. As much as possible.

You cant be fucking serious. From round 5 until the end of round 10 when the ref mad a bad call and scored a knockdown for Shane... all Shane did was throw jabs in the middle of the ring and just keep circling. Pacman never in made an attempt to cut the ring off. Shane didnt start running until the end of the 10... the entire middle rounds were fought in the middle of the ring..

this whole post reeks of

:hmm:

your a Mayweather stan arent you....

Im not even that big of an MMA fan.... but boxing is looking like trash compared to it.... and dont even think that Mayweather isnt part of the problem.... if he wasnt boxing wouldnt suck as much as it does now.

Fam it's obvious you don't spend much time reading our posts about boxing, but I've been one of the most critical dudes on this whole messageboard about Floyd. But facts are facts, when I watch a fight, I know what I'm seeing. I know that Mayweather and Pac are part of the problem but gullible ass casual fans are the biggest problem. They actually think they are watching something special when they see Pac fight and tear up a BUM like Margarito or a shot fighter like Cotto. Or watching Floyd have this supposedly legendary victory against a severly undersized Marquez. Those fights were over when the contracts were signed. What Pac and Floyd deserve is for the fight to be a complete DUD - and have people boo the shit out of both of them.

I know that when I'm watching a 46 yr old Hopkins take to school a young champ who's old enough to be his son, I'm watching something special. Or when I'm watching a 37 year old Marquez take to school and ko every guy who earns a title shot against him, I'm watching something special. Or when I see Sergio Martinez taking apart world class fighter after world class fighter and knock an iron chinned, much bigger top ten p4p Paul Williams, I'm watching something special. That's the difference between a casual fan, and those of us who know what we're watching. And for the record, I'm loving MMA. Them cats get it in.

Wasn't no damn agreement Mosley is soft always has been always will be. He flat out got beat like a slave :smh:. He was outclassed the touching of the gloves was always initiated by Mosley cuz he's a pussy. He showed no heart the whole fight it was pathetic. Once he started getting hit he looked real old :smh:

I can't agree with this, but I can see why someone would think so. They were waaaaaay to friendly in my eyes. Then what really caught me off guard was at the end of the fight, right after the bell rung, Shane touched gloves with Pacman for like the millionth time and then he proceeded to walk over to Manny's corner and dap up Roach. I was looking like  Why are you so friendly with Manny and his people?

Ummm... he DID exactly that.

Pacquiao 'cut the ring off' in the middle rounds. As much as possible.

My point is....

How much 'chasing down' is Pac supposed to do in the Final 3 Rounds... with a fighter who is not boxing? Just running away. :dunno:

Look at the video I posted.

You can't really claim that... it's Pac Man's fault.... for Shane's lack of aggression... in a boxing match.

Boxers run (or clench).... whenever they KNOW they may get 'knocked out'.

Shane even admitted as much in his post-fight interview.

He said something like... "He shocked me. I couldn't believe his power."

In comparison, he stood toe-to-toe with PBF in the last round.

Now why is that?

Just saying.

Dude, I'm not arguing that Shane didn't run, but Cotto ran too. Manny still put hands on Cotto.

Just saying...

Never? Sounds a little exaggerated. I thought Pac was the one moving forward trying to get to Shane from the 2nd round on. I agree that Pac didn't actually get into his "get in that ass" mode until after the bad knockdown call. I think he fell for Shane's let's be friends and embrace every five minutes shit.

Ok convo over. You're whylin. Idk what fight you were watching.

Fam - THIS WHAT CUTTING THE RING OFF AGINST A NICCA WHO WAS REALLY RUNNING LOOKS LIKE - AND GETTING THE FUCKING JOB DONE!!!

and cosign the Floyd-Marquez shit too...

Mayweather doesn't even deserve to be talked about. The guy has only fought TWO TIMES in 4 YEARS. The guy is 34 years old and by the time he gets finished with lawsuits, yet another tuneup, and maybe steps in the ring with Pac, he'll probably be 36 years old. The guy is supposedly a defensive master yet he got rocked to the soles of his feet by an ancient Mosley.

Mayweather cannot deal with a soutpaw stance and he will get outworked and lose a decision. If Mayweather had half the confidence that his fans apparently do, this fight would have been made long time ago. PED conspiracy theories aside, the more credible evidence indicates Mayweather just doesn't want to fight anymore and if he does fight he doesn't want to have to deal with any potentially hard fights. All you have to do is look at Mayweather's activity in the past few years. This guy is practically retired and people don't even realize it.

man when your TRAINER says you have to fight 'the perfect fight' in order to beat your opponent, that speaks volumes..(props to the brother who posted this originally on here)

"Freddie Roach Telegraph Sport exclusive part five.

Freddie Roach has been breaking down the style and technique employed by Floyd Mayweather, which has made him the unbeaten fighter he is today.

Roach had begun his research on Mayweather before the planned super-fight between Pacquiao and the leading American boxer of today was derailed by rows and disagreements over drug-testing procedures.

Roach told me: “I’d been looking at how Mayweather reacts against south paw fighters. There’s quite a difference to how he reacts with right handed fighters. He’s not that comfortable with the south paw stance. It gets him in a little trouble.”

Yet Roach spelt out in clear terms the task facing Pacquiao should he meet Mayweather in a ring, later this year. “It’s more about his positive things that we have to stay away from.”

“It’s a complicated game plan I was beginning to put together. You look at the way Floyd fights. If you put pressure on him, on the ropes, he rolls and ducks, and counters and if you get too aggressive, he’ll walk you so cleverly onto a counter punch. He’s not the most offensive fighter, not the most entertaining fighter, but he is great at what he does.”

“Do we have to be ready for all of it ? Yes. It’s going to be a real, real, mental fight, and this is 100 per cent the biggest challenge Manny Pacquiao has ever faced.”

Would Roach have done anything different to Mayweather’s style, if he had trained him? “A little bit more offence, because of his hand speed and abilities. I’d have got him to use it to his advantage more. I don’t think anyone trains Mayweather. He was born to fight. It is in his blood.”

“There are not a lot of weaknesses. It has to be a special 36 minutes from Manny. We have to fight the perfect fight.”

“It is hard thinking about it. When decisions haven’t yet been made. I think the fight has to happen. I think it will happen. It’s good for boxing, it is good for the world. If it doesn’t happen, we might go back into a recession in boxing again, because it is the fight which is anticipated. The public wants to see it, and I want to see it too.”

What does the last round of his fight with Floyd have to do with what happened tonight. Mosley looked just as shot and worn out and stiff and gun shy as he did against Floyd as he did tonight.

Say what you want.
'Spin it' any way you like.

The video DOES NOT lie. :smh:

Sure he lost. Or looked old.
Or whatever 'description' you want to throw in.

But against Mayweather he threw PUNCHES in the final round(s).
Not run. :smh:

THAT's a FACT.

The video DOES NOT lie. :smh:

Against Pac Man tonight... He ran away in the final round(s).

The video DOES NOT lie. :smh:

Whether you can accept it, or not..... is a different story.

Mosley seemed an honest loser both times. I think he gave props to Mayweather for his speed and defense and he seemed to be really impressed with Pacquiao's speed and power. I was very impressed by Pac being able to drop and rock Mosley because Mosley is not a guy that this usually happens too.

Pure bullshit. That doesn't explain why Pac couldn't cut the ring off against a dude - again - WHO WAS CIRCLING IN THE SAME DIRECTION THE WHOLE FIGHT!! Pac was embarassed and frustrated because he can't do shit unless he's moving forward and his opponent is moving straight back, that shit was a joke. I don't ever wanna hear from ya'll niccas that Pac is this great boxer, nicca doesn't even know the basics of cutting the ring off. Top 25 all time my ass.:lol::lol:

Pacman only seems to be able to come straight forward. During rounds 5 through the end of round 10, he never made an substantials move to cut the ring off. All he did was completely come straight forward in an attempt to force Shane to engage....but he never effectively cut off Shane and positioned him into a side or corner...and Shane was pretty much circling in the exact same direction for the entire fight... it was so obvious that I thought one of his legs was injured. I was SHOCKED by his inability to figure out what to do...he seemed confused..even the commentators were surprised by his inactivity and confusion... why could he never figure out what to...all shane did was circle and throw a few here and there..

Yeah..and he waited until the end of the 10th to just try to go in... i cant imagine that he was still worried about the right hand... Shane hadnt really landed it the entire fight

Ok, maybe calling for a fix is a bit harsh, but you nailed it.

They were WAAAAAAAAY too friendly.

This is a big fight, millions watching.

All that hi-fiving, and dapping up is for the birds.

You're good. That's exactly what he said in the interview.

I agree fam

You're good. That's exactly what he said in the interview.

What did he say. Im not watching the interview. I mentioned it on this board during round 8 or so. He legs didnt just looked gas... he was actually favoring his leg...he couldnt even bend it and was dragging it.

I think Mosley injured his leg. He legs just dont tired..they look hurt.

Honestly, Pac did look off. I actually think he was wary of Shane's power and he was also falling for Shane's constant gestures. Credit to Mayweather for imposing his attitude when he fought Shane and actually attacking Shane when he tried to do that stuff. Anyway, once Pac got over that friend stuff around and after the 10th round, he looked like he was cutting off the ring pretty well to me. Therefore, I wouldn't say that his failure to get in Shane's ass early was for lack of knowing how to cut off a ring.

Im actually co signing this post....

i grew up watching boxing... it was every bit of a routine for my father, brother and myself on saturday nights as it was to watch WWF on Saturday morning.

Shit is wack all over.

What did he say. Im not watching the interview. I mentioned it on this board during round 8 or so. He legs didnt just looked gas... he was actually favoring his leg...he couldnt even bend it and was dragging it.

He said that his legs cramped up on him and that it's a problem that he's been having from a few fights back. He said it had gone away but that it came back in this fight and that he felt his legs just stiffen up on him.

And thats why pbf would pick manny the fuck apart... I knew this fight was bullshit and im glad I missed it.

He said that his legs cramped up on him and that it's a problem that he's been having from a few fights back. He said it had gone away but that it came back in this fight and that he felt his legs just stiffen up on him.

Yeah man... I was like :confused::confused: because his legs were looking stiff as hell..and I knew he wasnt just gassed...

Freddie Roach just said Shane is at the point where he should retire with the way he is fighting now.

and why the hell is Paris Hilton fielding questions now.. time to log off the post fight press conference now

nah
60/40 split is the only thing that can make this fight happen

i think it needs to be 50-50 man...they are all gonna make records amount of money... and Floyd is a HUGE draw.. the bigger draw than pacman but Floyd is not even actively fighting now man...

I honestly dont even think Floyd enjoys boxing now.. give him a 51-49 split for his ego (but arum aint going for that)... but they shouldnt be bickering over the split considering how much money everyone involved is gonna make..

He said that his legs cramped up on him and that it's a problem that he's been having from a few fights back. He said it had gone away but that it came back in this fight and that he felt his legs just stiffen up on him.

Maybe it happened during the "car accident".:lol::lol:
On the real, Manny has always had an excuse when he looked bad. Agaisnt Morales he had a thousand excuses ranging from he didn't have his punchers gloves to being weak from giving blood, he didn't have his lucky groin protector....dude should just say he had a bad night, keep it real, that I could respect. Leg cramp my ass. He never mentioned no leg cramp when he was ko'ing Cotto and tearing up Margarito. Oh the leg cramp prolly happened when Marquez was boxing his around the ring 3 years ago.:lol::lol:

Yo what's good Zef? What'd you think of the Arce/Vazquez fight? That shit was war.

Freddie Roach just said Shane is at the point where he should retire with the way he is fighting now.

Yeah, Hilton might know MMA but not boxing.
