How do you figure? Boyce is not the one who's been going around since the beginning of all this posting these wack ass memes. That was Umar. Boyce has been the one posting videos complementing the man, repeatedly inviting Umar to dialogue and repeatedly pledging his support for Umar's positive endeavors. Umar's only responses to this have been these juvenile memes calling Boyce a hater, coon etc.
So then, when Boyce has had enough and gets mad, he's a clown? That makes no sense.
The woman who made the initial video did not shit on Umar. She asked for Umar to outline how specifically the money people have donated is being utilized. That does not equate to coonish-ness nor hating. It is a legitimate question that needed not become a problem had Umar only taken a few minutes to simply answer it.
Umar's responses were bizarre, childish and disproportionate - to say the least.
Boyce's education is in economics, Brother. Therefore, the solutions he offers are based in teaching Black folks how to build wealth. Along with that, he is an advocate for keeping our money within the community by supporting Black business. These are objectives that he has in common with Umar. He never claimed the mantle of leadership. Umar is the one who places himself in that position.
In times of conflict between two important public intellectuals, I will always respect more the individual who is about acknowledging the other's greatness and accomplishments, seeking dialogue and respectfully addressing areas of misunderstanding - with the goal being to repair damaged bridges between himself and another. I respect the one who recognizes the importance of such bridges.
This is manhood. This is responsibility. This is showing enough genuine love for one's people and oneself not to allow oneself to get dragged into immaturity and mess. This is striving for the "unity" in community.
Strong leadership is not predicated nor proven by who wins a pissing contest.

Because in both cases its more about the facts they say not the individual person... Sure I don't agree with everything any of them say, but just because you don't like certain things does not mean you can discredit everything they say...

I disagree with a lot of what he says, for example I get that he doesn't mean every black woman when he talks about them, but he doesn't make himself clear enough and to me he often does it to piss off the his female trolls..
I would never give a rats ass what a troll thinks... I also thinks he likes being controversial often using wit to trap less intelligent people into debates, I on the other hand use my words, not to impress or talk down to people, but rather to teach and bridge gaps..
