Boyce sounds like he was ready to write Umar off as one of those street disciples like Sa Neter and the like with no real credentials he could respect.
If that's the case I ask if Umar didn't have a degree in his field of study would he still be as respected as he is now? And does not having a degree mean there is any less truth to what he teaches?
