Lot of gems I have to go back a few seasons to rewatch, but what stood out to me from the finale was

Ted never honors his deals when he is in a postion of weakness. He came back and clipped Frank Pops didnt even have too

The whole season Saint was unravelling. Im riding with him thinking he get his coins and ride off. When he clipped Miquel I knew he was gone

All he had to do was pivot to Real Estate. That greed ate him up from the inside out. I need to go back in im sure im missing a grip

I don't understand why if Cissy don't fuck with Franklin anymore anyway, why would she sacrifice and throw her life away to so called protect him.

Franklin is ruined anyway so it would be better to be ruined with 37 mil than be ruined dead broke. So she really didn't save him from anything.

It seems to me she did it to spite Franklin for choosing the money over her, when she told him once he gets the money that will be the last time he will see her, and he agreed.

She could have waited until the money was transferred if she wanted to kill him.

I dont like how that part came together either. By her decision making were supposed to see it as a mother protecting her son by sacrifice because despite being ruined he’ll still be alive.

Loved this series... but the ending of season four I think when he put down the cane and walked off without a limp..

I always say this about American drug dealers. But the king of the hill mentality is what always kills them off. Everyone wanted to be on top forever but never adapt or graduate from that lifestyle (go legit). Had all that money and didnt know what to do with it. But they never cut loses or segway into a better lane greed eats them up until they lose it all.

TV and its moral policing of stories with Black People in them. I'm tired of make-believe always telling us that we can never win no matter what. I feel like Franklin was young enough to be able to redeem himself if given a chance in some kind of way. Loen was able to redeem himself, why not Franklin? To be quite honest I know people that flipped the game into legitimate businesses as I'm sure some of you do as well. That's what I was hoping for and wanted to see.

He is able to redeem himself but after carrying all of that for so long and losing it all would do that to anybody. Franklin was burnt out, a fall from the top like that is hard. Besides the type of business he was in never ends happy he was in too deep he was on the cusp of a happy ending but he wasnt gonna get that. This ending was as happy as it was gonna get.

Franklins flaw was like most drug dealers before him not mastering the psychology of their own greed and knowing when to cut their loses. Even after losing it all he still wanted to make that real estate deal happen he shouldve sold his share like his girl tried to show him but Franklin couldnt admit it was over it was time to transition and get out the game.

I hate I missed the last 3 episodes and just now catching up because there's been some really good discussions in here BUT I can't believe people are really saying Franklins mom was right for shooting Teddy before Franklin got his money because my question is would she have shot Teddy if he had said Alton was in a prison, if the answer is no then that means the shooting was all about her hate for him killing Alton

Remember one important thing, Franklin was finished with the game for good. He was going to take his 70 mil, go legit and ride off into the sunset with V. At that moment he was clear headed, focused and precise.

He could have kept the downtown property, V would still be with him and once the baby was born he would have been even more focused.

The issues for Franklin didn't arise until he lost his money. As long as he had his money he was on point.

So if he would have had the 37 mil, his trajectory would have been in line with past seasons as far as business goes.

Franklin ended up the way he did because of his own greed. Dude still couldn't be cool with selling a stake in that new development and living comfortably off of rent from that South Central LA real estate.

Nigga really thought he was gonna skate away scot free with that $37 million.

The second Teddy healed up he was gonna go medieval on Saint and his family.

Franklin was planning to get out the game so it wasn't greed it was revenge

Bruh, Saint poured hot crisco on this man's chest. Best believe Teddy was going to get PAYBACK and with Government assistance.

No way Saint goes off into the sunset with that money while Teddy's still alive.

Franklin was good as dead with that money. Everyone knew it but Franklin.

A lot of Snowfall fans really miss the point of who Teddy is and the power he has, Franklin would never get that money back soon as Teddy would have pulled off Franklns account would have been in the negative again and Teddy would come at him extra hard for torturing him Cissy Jerome and Leon were the only ones that seen the big picture you never win against the Feds or CIA

Yeah this is the only thing I didn't like about the final episodes, Franklin is smart so no way he believed Teddy would split the money with him and then just call it even. He had just made that same deal with Cissy and Alton and then turned right around and killed Alton so that would have been the first thing out of Cissy's mouth

If that was the case then why would she even ask about the whereabouts of Alton. In the scene her response and then action of her shooting Teddy was all based on his response to her after he said he shot Alton two times. Just my theory. She had doubts he was telling her the truth, but had doubts on killing him too. His answer was just the push needed for her.

To step away from the finale for a minute.

Most of, if not damn near all of that cast was not from Los Angeles, and early in the series in interviews, Damson talked about having WC as a dialect coach while I'm not trying to take the shine off of Damson's skills as an actor, I want to highlight WC's work as a dialect coach. If you hear Damson in interviews, it's obvious that WC did a great job with him and did a great job with the rest of the cast.

Franklin had many opportunities to get out of the game but he didn’t want to stop. I will say that Teddy really fµcked him though. I would say Louie started this mess but, honestly, Teddy was going to end up betraying Franklin one way or another.

Franklin got way too greedy and lost his soul. Some of y’all say that Leon should’ve given him the money but ultimately that wasn’t going to help him. He needed to be cut off just like addicts need to be cut off. Franklin’s mind was gone and he was only going to destroy himself and others further. You could see that just by the lack of introspection and ability to pivot when he got desperate.

The only people that showed true intelligence and flexibility in the end were Leon, Wanda, and Skully. They accepted the reality of the situation, surrendered (in a sense), and made some real changes. They’re the only ones that truly remained free.

I also like how they didn’t give us the “dead or in jail” ending for Franklin. I feel like that ending would’ve time-stamped Franklin’s life and he would’ve always been remembered as a king pin. It was realistic to watch him unravel due to his demons…. and he did it right in his own community. It allowed for everything to come full circle. And it’s even worse because there is literally nobody coming to save Franklin. The people that could’ve kept him sane are dead or in jail. Even Leon had the sense to leave and the best he can do for Franklin is put his ass in rehab… but he’s so far gone that he probably won’t be able to rebound fully. When people are “gone” like that, they’re pretty much gone.

All in all.. I’m satisfied with the finale. Everyone acted their asses off. Awards need to be won

I am not even gonna comment on Franklin's mom and what she did. It seemed like lazy writing to me. But I guess they needed it to happen to put the ending in motion.

I knew Leon was going to be OK.

I knew Gustavo was going to be OK too, but I thought he would be reunited with his fam.

V running away with as much money she can get before Franklin drained it all dry made sense, tho. Don't forget, she knew how the corporations and banks work. She was forward thinking and knew there was going to be a point where they could no longer leverage their assets for more money.

And Franklin?.... well.... I thought he would end up in jail serving a life sentence. But him losing everything and hitting rock bottom was an satisfactory alternative conclusion. The peaches bit took me by surprise. Fucked up what he did to the lock pick dude.

The Boyz n the Hood easter egg was nice.

Once Teddy showed that while backed into a corner, facing permanent disfigurement, threats to his child's life and even his own death that he lied, YET AGAIN!

Teddy would NEVER honor any agreement with Franklin. He killed his father and still sat in his face and forced him to do business. Then once business got good, enough he took all of Franklin's money, every last fucking penny......he never respected Franklin and would never.

Teddy had to go and as long as Franklin didn't get the money the government would have no reason to chase Franklin in Teddy's "absence." She saved him and yet he was sooooo obsessed with the power play and short term money ("to get out") he couldn't see it.

If Franklin even sniffed at that money, just returning that KGB dude wouldn't be enough and he would never get to do that big "downtown" deal.
