Much better! Headache smoothedout quite a bit by morning. I guess I am good till the next round of "I don't know what the fuck is going on with me."
I am not quite ready for disability just yet. Short term is squarely in my sights. Hopefully I'll be off dialysis in a month or two. My job has already offered me an desk job to keep me off the floor and to stay off my feet more
Brother we are all fam up in here. You scaring me, man. But I know you are even more terrified than I am.

Glad your wife is taking care of you. What precautions is she taking with you going through it? I'd she using PPE around the house? Separate beds for now?

Get well may man. If I cam ask, how old are you?

I had a discussion with this Black chick I'm trying to fuck and she is a full-on Trump supporter. All in that "Republicans are on the side of my family values. Abortions are evil (though she's had 2).

Covid19 is just 1% worse than the regular flu.

She's drinking all the koolaid...I'm still trying to fuck cuz she has big titties, but we already agreed sex is the only thing we have in common

No you're not.

This climate has got people anxious and riddled with fear.

Any voice of reason is responded to with anger.

You're scared, offended, illogical and angry.

I'm sitting by a pool IN FLORIDA chillin.

It's okay to be concerned.

It IS NOT okay to spread fear based on your cynicism.

What a fucking idiot

Welp. It finally came calling.

I work as a Functional Consultant for a Software company.

Business projections were low, well lower than expected. Company placed the blame on Coronavirus.

The company is doing reorganizations and my role, along with about 30 others spread throughout the company have been cut. Have a decent severance package and benefits through the end of August but the impact of the 'Rona finally caught up here directly.

Was a good run.

 Thanks.

Its sucks but what you gonna do? Already hit the pavement. I knew it was a possibility so I wasn't surprised, just wasn't actively looking.

Had a phone screening/interview with another company this morning.

I'm confident I'll be alright. Feel bad for those who won't.

Sorry to hear about the impact, EPDC. Keep that right mindset. That optimism. All the best with your next work venture.

I guess I should share my experience.

Also share the other side, since there's a lot of fear out there which isn't good for the psyche. There's no in-between in stories I read where people are either on their death beds in the hospital or don't have symptoms.

I probably have it, had it, whatever

I'm waiting on the results, which are backed up. They said 5 to 7, but I think it's going to be 7 to 10 days. My 14 days will be up before I get my results.

I was in good shape before, one of those people who gets sick rarely. Had a physical in February, worked out consistently prior to everything shut down, so I was never really scared of getting it. Which is why I still was going to the gym. I always felt it was inevitable the way things are going with the world.

but besides a random lingering cough I'm fine

Already took multi vitamins, added elderberry and vitamin d prior.

I noticed a had a slight random sore throat out of the blue. That was probably my first symptom. Woke up the next morning fatigue and sore. It was the day after leg day, but it was whole body soreness. I ended up taking my temp and had a fever(101). The next morning was even more fatigue and soreness. I was "working" and was so tired I had to immediately go back to bed. I ended up sleeping another six hours. I woke up feeling a lot better, the fever was still there, but the following morning I had a slight fever, but by the middle of the day I felt pretty close to normal. So I felt sickish and had a fever I guess for two and a half days. I can't ever say I really felt bad, besides being fatigued and the soreness. It wasn't strep throat bad for my throat or cough, just random.

Haven't had a fever in seven days, feel fine besides the random cough. Fatigue gone.

Been quarantined trying to be responsible and not going around people or family, eager for my return. :dunno:

So if you think you have it, you should monitor your symptoms, but your first thoughts shouldn't be of death.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Complex. Good on you being responsible & maintaining distance from fam' for the time being to be safe.

Agreed. That's the best perspective to have. Especially during these trying times. I remember back in late-2003 doing a 1-month practicum. We were paired with 1 classmate from our program. I recall they (practicum work location) had lists of numerous other agencies & organizations within the field. All types of contact information. I asked the manager and director if it would be alright to have a quick lunch, and then just head to the fax room & make a bunch of photocopies, and also fax out lots of applications. They were perfectly cool with that. I stayed with them the year following doing oncall and PT across 3 of their locations, and also got on board with several other places (from 2 other unions). Really helped me get my foot in the door, as FT work was hard to come by at the start. It was nice booking hours, but also lining up job interviews. The interview I landed in April 2004 - been with them ever since FT. Kept my name active with the other places until about 5 years back. Just to have them in my pocket in case things went awry with the main work.

Time to power up. I’ve been figuring things out since it caught up with me back in April.

And on top of all of that my father passed away two Saturdays ago (not from Covid).

So, I’m in innovation mode. I’m ready.

As my father said before he checked out, “we all ain’t going to make it out here alive anyway.”

Stay strong, fam.

Had a friend kill herself this afternoon.

It was rough talking to her father. It was his only child.

I spoke to her last Monday and she was messed up in the head being home and alone and worried about the future.

Corona kills in many ways.

Corona got me back at the beginning of July. It took me almost three weeks to get rid of that shit. I am glad I caught that shit early and had a black doctor because she give me some medicine and encouraged me to keep using my natural shit. Now, Corona is fucking up my move back home. Can't find anywhere to stay. I am looking but I might have to be a few miles from were I want to be until we can buy a property. This shit is fucked up. But will make it out of it okay.

Honestly, this is the impact that worries me the most- the mental health of those who can't deal with the isolation, the changes in routine and the anxiety of what's to come. Sorry to hear about your friend and for anyone who has lost someone to COVID-19. This country has to do better when it comes to our health, mental health and otherwise.

Stevie Nicks, the Health Commissioner We Deserve, Wants You to Please Stay Inside and Wear a Mask
By Jackson McHenry@McHenryJD

Just serenely imagine how Stevie could beautifully incorporate masks into her outifts. Photo: Dia Dipasupil/FilmMagic/Getty Images
As a few of our country’s famous singers have made some, ahem, questionable statements about the pandemic recently, Stevie Nicks has emerged from her shawl vault to sprinkle us all with some calming, reasonable meditations on the current moment. Nicks posted a journal entry from July 17 on Twitter, which, in its tone, reads as if it was written from the deck of a beautiful 19th-century sailing ship on a long mysterious voyage. The actual voyage in question involves Nicks lying awake with a stomachache listening to Pandora, thinking about how she feels safe in that moment, and hoping that everyone will join together to wear masks and stay safe so that we can see each other again. “In order for us to get back to our former lives – we must all change into spiritual warriors,” Nicks writes, with frankly better public messaging than you’d get from our government. “If we don’t get ahead of this now, we will live with such guilt and regret that it will destroy us.” Nicks adds, “I want to go back on the road. I want to sing for you again. I want to put on these high black suede platform boots and dance for you again. I want you to forget the world and sing for me.” I want her to record this as an audio file so that I can meditate to it and feel ever-so-slightly comforted as I fall asleep each night.
