Daily is pointless. You should only do weekly or even monthly. That way you can see the change rather than watching pounds go up and down only to slowly discourage you.


Cosign 100%. Weighing every day is a set up for a huge failure. Once a month is good. Actually I weigh myself once in awhile. I go by how my clothes fit and what I see in the mirror

i've noticed most people i encounter have an apprehensive attitude towards weight loss. i could sit back and eat junk food all day and drink soda pop and juice and nobody says anything but the minute i do 8 mile jogs and eat 1800 calories a day i'm supposedly hurting myself or being extreme or starving myself.

ok so i wasn't being extreme when i downed whole two liters of soda pop in one sitting? i've experienecd little real encouragment from most of the people i know. the reaction is usually along the lines of:
why are you doing this?
you look fine.
you carry your weight well.
is this for a girl or something?
why starve yourself?
why eat nasty foods?
100 pounds is too much weight to lose.
*offers me some crap like a soda or candy*
*eats unhealthy food right in my face trying to make it look tempting*

these people don't understand i'm executing a program. i've programmed my mind to do this, live like this. i crave it, i was at the gym at 5 something in the morning to jog. my body wakes me up early as hell as if it expects this. they can't talk me out of this or tempt me with the poison they call good food.

just because they don't have what it takes to live better doesn't mean they have to talk it down and try to make it seem like a negative thing. i guess that's the rationalizations they use to try and make all the bad things they do seem ok.

not me. i won't live like that anymore. there aren't any excuses to not live better. to not be better. every day i'm getting further along on my path and i'm willing to do whatever it takes to see this through. i will remake myself into a better person, a person worthy of my own respect because i earned it and not just because i'm me.
i'm not a child, i can eat foods that don't taste good to me because its necessary.
 
Damn bro, you didn't look that big in those pics of you that were posted. I guess it's possible to lose 40 in 40, but it's unlikely. I lost 20lbs of fat in 3 weeks to cut up for the summer, but it's easier fo me since I have a lot of muscles. With my size, muscle, height, and metabolism I can get 5000 calories to maintain my curret weight. What i did was cut out all booze and maintained a 1500 calorie a day diet broken up into 5 meals 300 Cals each. My protein intake was high to ensure no muscles were lost. Iost an average of one pound per day. So I guess 40 in 40 is possible, but it will be hard work.

I had never really even heard of Cla until this thread. So I did some research and discovered it has a lot of medical proof and a lot of athletes and professional trainers use it.

Ive tested cla for around 4 months and it really did nothing for me. I've spoken to a lot of people, and what I've gathered is it won't really assist in fat loss unless you're already around 10% body fat. Then it can help you drop down to 7-8%. People with high amounts of body fat probably won't see any significant losses with this supplement.

If you lost 20lbs of "fat" in 3 weeks which averages 6.66lbs per week. You are obese...I never expect much from a guy who thinks elliptical machines don't fall under the category of cardiovascular activity.

Did you try it? This diet looks like it caters to Women more so than Men. That 500 day diet is extreme...WW II concentration camp prisoners ate about 300-700 cal per day...
 
perhaps your water intake was shit or your body has a dysfunctional way of utilizing water to dilute such substances like digestible proteins where it puts a strain on your kidneys.

i drink at least a gallon of water daily.
when I was cutting for the summer (psmf), my daily protein intake (from shakes alone) was 250+ grams given the fact that my lbm percentage is 205lbs.
i get physicals twice a year and just recently had one myself.
all of my levels were green all across the board well within the normal ranges.

i do recall some years ago one time getting a physical where my dr told me to lay off the protein because some of my levels were increasing but that was due to the fact that i was not drinking a sufficient amount of water.
i ignored his warning and simply increased my water intake and now all is fine.

true. I was really lacking in the water dept, thought I could sub for the shakes...man was I wrong. But now all I drink is water. I had to ween myself off Gatorade because of the sugar, and G2 is no better...thanks for the info:cool:

Neither time was I close to obese. At 260 I was around 17% body fat which is NOT obese, now I'm around 12% body fat. 21% body fat is considered obese nigga. Please shut the fuck up. When trying to make points about something you don't know jack shit about you make yourself look like more of an idiot. Just stick to riding niggas, but not me. I'm not the one little bitch.

Neither time was I close to obese. At 260 I was around 17% body fat which is NOT obese, now I'm around 12% body fat. 21% body fat is considered obese nigga. Please shut the fuck up. Your math aint adding up (or i could be mistaken). If at 260 you had a BF% of 17 thats about 43/44pounds of fat. If you shed 20lbs fat than your BF% should be lower then 12.

I ain't really in the mood to go back and forth. I use spirulina on a daily basis and have seen drastic results pretty quick. It's also all natural, simply the most nutritious stuff on earth. Do your research and I think you will find which is better for you in the long run.

I TAKE 3- 4 SHAKES OF MYO-LEAN PROTEIN AND ONE NUTRI-SYSTEM CHOCOLATE BAR.. I HAVEN'T EATEN ACTUAL FOOD SINCE SUNDAY.. ALL PROTEIN SHAKES.. AND THOSE SHAKES MAKE ME FEEL FULL ALSO..

if i get hungry i drink another 3 scoops of protein

also i have hit the cardio and weights like crazy i do like an hour and 10 mins of cardio and heavy weight lifting and about 2 hundred sit ups... its only been 3 days lets see what happens by day 40

I was 240ish in May. I'm down to 222. Hopefully I can reach 215 by my birthday (September 15th)

Cutting eating habits and running intervals on the track have helped me the most. Oh and I drink about a gallon of water a day.

Same here...going from 250 to 215. Currently at 230. Eating clean and running are key. About to start a weight program next week. Looking to get leaned out by first of the year. And I also try to drink a gallon of water a day.

Man you got to eat. It's a simple concept. Calories in versus calories out. For your size, stay at 1500-1700 calories a day, walk 2 fast paced miles and drink 80 ounces of water and you will keep on losing weight without thinking about it. This no food shit that you're doing will get you nowhere, in fact you will gain more weight when you get tired of it.

I'm saying this because it worked for me. I used to go to exercise bootcamp where we did the most rigorous routines but I never lost weight in 3 months because I did not change my eating habit. Then I went to a weight loss doctor who told me what to do and now I just restrict my calories, walk and drink water and I lose weight every week at a rate of 3lbs/week. I also don't feel starved. I am older than you btw. I am not obese but I am just trying to get under 200lbs. I started at 232 and down to 215 in about 1.5 months.
