Yeah, the Jane part, the one wish, how weak and wack Zeus is, the new "powers", all of the off screen "action," all sandwiched between the over the top comedy didn't go over too well.
I never really thought about it until now, but, other than Thanos, the MCU has not done a good job with its villians.

Even without the gay parts the movie still sucked. It just wasn't funny at all and I'm not sure why they were even trying to force all that comedy in. Like I said, 90% of Thors lines were jokes, 10% were funny. That's not good. This shit was like watching a spoof movie.

Taking characters from comics and changing them on screen just for representation sake.
I dont care about creating new characters and making them whatever. Or for example, Dumbledore's sexuality was never explored in the books and after the last book came out JK Rowling said he was gay. Ok, got no problem with that, she isnt changing him to appease others.
Representation should be born out of artistic creation. Not based on online social pressure.

If your only experience with Thor is through the movies than you've had a sorry experience. Back in the day this was one of my favorite characters and an automatic purchase on Wednesday especially during the Simonson run. I should have been leery just off the basis that Tessa Thompson was in it. I;m still trying to figure out the plot of Dear White People.

- The continued "deconstruction" of the popular male (especially White) superhero by turning him into a joke.
- Female empowerment. No man is allowed to save, teach or be "better" than any woman/girl in any film or series.
- LGBTQ representation in every Disney theatrical release (Eternals, Dr. Strange, Lightyear & Thor). (Wakanda Forever is up next)
- Teaching children that everyone is their own hero.
- Weak set up for the next or future film.
