Thor: Love and Thunder - Spoiler Alerts not necessary

Something tells me
They're gonna slide some down low shit into the Black Panther 2 movie, also

:fuckyousay::fuckyousay::fuckyousay:

It was in the first BP but they cut it. The "move or be moved" (something like that) chic flirted with Okoye. The scene was cut thankfully, but can be found on YouTube I think.

They tried to make ol girl a lesbian? :eek2: Well damn! :eek2:
But wait, hold up.....girl on girl action is okay ;)
The way Scarlett is looking at ol girl.....
Seems like the start to a couple of pornos, I've seen before ;)

Don't know if it's been asked already in here but ....
Did anyone else take issue with the ending basically resolving on Thor & Valkyrie raising an Asgardian child army?

You imply white men are the main victims of the continued deconstruction of superheroes.
I didn't imply anything.
I directly stated that there is currently a deconstruction of popular male superheroes.
I did also say that this deconstruction applied especially to White superheroes.

However...
PLEASE POINT OUT EXACTLY WHERE I SAID WHITE MEN ARE "VICTIMS".

You will never find such a thing, because I would never post such a thing. :hmm:
You're placing WAY TOO MUCH of your own personal biases and value judgements into a conversation that doesn't require this particular virtue to be signalled.

But since you erroneously seem to think I'm speaking of the "victimization" of White men, I'll then try to enlighten you on my thoughts on this subject by bring up an ACTUAL EXAMPLE of the emasculation "Disneyfication" of a true, strong, beloved male icon:

This is Lando Calrissian.
For damn near 3 decades he was THE PRIMARY face of Black people in the entire Star Wars franchise.
Not only was he the epitome of strong Black masculinity and the original owner of The Millenium Falcon in Star Wars, but he was also:
- A hero.
- A leader.
- A fighter.
- A ladies man.
- A gambler.
- A superb pilot.
- A respected General.
- A man of conscience.
- A dangerous card shark.
- The man who destroyed the 2nd (larger) Death Star.

Now...

Since Disney has put their grubby little hands on the Star Wars license, they've transformed this beloved BLACK ICON into a pathetic pansexual lothario who'll fuck anything and who, it's strongly "implied" actually fucks his own "female" droid. Something (to my knowledge) that's NEVER happened in the history of Star Wars.
maxresdefault.jpg

And who now also takes shit from that same "female" droid. :smh:
(And don't even get me started on what they've done to Han Solo).
:hithead:

So; please help me understand that by "modernizing" and "deconstructing" this strong male hero with these superficial, shallow and meaningless 21st century socio-political "sensibilities" has in any way given little Black boys (like your sons, nephews and cousins) a more relatable hero to look up to and emulate???

Or am I "implying" something else that's seemingly beyond your grasp...? :rolleyes2:

If your masculinity depends on how Lando Calrissian is portrayed you are already lost.

Also, you made sure to emphasize “especially white”. You made damn sure to throw those words in and that has nothing to do with me.

Own your words.

You can use as many fonts, sizes and colors as you want, but nothing will change those facts.

Again, you're missing the point.
- When did I say MY masculinity "depends" on anything...?
- You still haven't answered my question, "When did I say White men were the victims" of anything?
- More to the point; when did I say or imply anything about victimhood?
I provided you with a specific example of the deconstruction of a heroic male icon by Disney (like Thor) and yet, you miss the point.

bro I’m not going to spend my night going around with you on semantics. You came on this Black message board bemoaning the fact that specifically white male heroes are being “deconstructed”. Whether you specifically used the term “victim” no one else on this board is so concerned about the problems of white men.

And if comic book character being portrayed as jokes triggers you, you were weak to begin with.

Point blank period.

An allegedly grown ass man worrying so much about “heroic male icons” from comic books is lol anyway.

It’s obvious these things mean a lot to you so maybe write your own strong white male heroes so you have someone to look up to.

Can this be the last Taika Waititi Marvel movie? The more I think about it and his humor, the more I'm hating his filmmaking style.

Smh at the thought of him doing a Star Wars movie....
Or a Flash Gordon movie, or a remake of Time Bandits(both of which he'll be working on after he makes said SW movie)

Hearing mixed reviews.......

Running the gamut bad, good, great......

But in still off theaters at the moment.....

I'll wait for the leak

It's as if Women watch to be entertained, while Men watch to criticize....

My wife was the one who was more excited for Dr. Strange 2 and Thor 4. Hell, she watched Moon Knight without me and all the X-Men films on Disney+.

She won't admit it, but she's more of a Comic Book movie nerd than I am at this point.

Same thing with a few women I work with. They're always the first to talk about any new Comic Book movie on a Monday morning.

Women enjoy these films more so than men. While us men are busy criticizing and picking these films apart, women just watch and take them in for their entertainment purposes.

I mean, look at all the film nerd critique YouTube channels. Hardly any of them are woman hosted...

Did she like Morbius? If so, you might need to get a divorce homie...something is off...lol

Ayo.

And She IS gay in the comics apparently. Okoye is not married to Wakabi in the comics. Not even sure he is in the comics….okoye and ayo are together in one version.

They probably gonna put her with the Dora that kicked Great Value Caps ass in FatWS.

Shit was goofy as hell
man 1000 percent
i dont mind a zanyuy comedy for thor -- but with this villian and what the movie was suppsed to be about - zany wacky comedy is not it

there is a scenen where Gorr is ...taunting the kids0....im like WTF the guy is a butcher he is supposed to have an all consuing hate so much so that anything associated with gods he wants its destroyed in the wworst way possible - he wants the GOds to suffer and be destroyed like his life was destryed and filled with suffering- he is like BIlly Butcher from The Boys ...so consumed with hatred and anger that no matter what kind of Superpowered person or child it is Billy wanted them dead its the same with Gorr - no matter what kind of God it is even if HE is the God he wants that god dead and the concept of even worshipping a God eradicated....

this movie was great visually - and if it was about something other than Gorr - it would have been fine - but
it just missed so massively ......telling a great story.

Yep. With all this inclusive shit and trying to appease everyone the whole Marvel shit is going to go to crap.

I'm starting to see it. Maybe because how good phase 1 (Thanos) was, I'm coming with high expectations. But these last couple of movies just ain't hitting the same.

Fam you trying it right now. I mean Lando sold them out to Vader so I don’t know :giggle: :giggle:

I'm not the one who got "triggered" nor am I the one who bought up "victimhood". :dunno:
- Again, these are concepts you bought up.
Clearly, you got all up in your feelings about my earlier post for some reason and decided to address me about it.
You've continued to hurl insults and try to diminish my talking points by questioning my manhood.
It's a shame you're so easily "emotionally compromised".
I am truly sorry I hurt your feelings.

Wasn't any drama in this shit though. Marvel is clearly tired of making superhero movies. So their movies/shows are about everything but the superhero genre for the first 80% then they cram some superhero stuff at the end because they feel like they have to.

Just look at their streaming shows.

Moon Knight
Hawkeye
Ms Marvel
She Hulk: Attorney at Law.

This movie was nothing but a slapstick, SNL comedy sketch until the final battle and that only lasted a few minutes and they went right back to slapstick.
Did you guys expect anything less? That's all these superheroe movies are. Weak comedy, shit ton of cgi, super villains that's always defeated somehow (except Infinity War) weak plots, iffy writing. You get what you pay for with these movies and shows. Just entertainment. These movies are made just to be "fun" and make money. No real thought are put into them

Welp this DC's opportunity. If Black Adam is a hit they may be able to gain some leverage at least with the older fans.

Just made my damn day, fam!

I talked to the wifey about a Time Bandits remake last night. She never saw the first one. When my shit gets here and I can break out the old hard drives and wire up the house, it's gonna be a vibe at the Shadow's Lair.

Saw it today it was solid. Nothing special but it had its moments. Should have shown Gore killing the gods more. Also maybe a little less comedy. Strange was better...
