Aww hell you ain't old as my nigga @keone ..say.. brah
Hey yo killamayne
What do you eat or drink before you hit
The gym..including supplements.??
I would have far more respect for that effort if it was done with the same weight and 10 reps with full press extensions, done at a moderate speed. None of those cheater 6 inch reps, full extensions. Oh and record the effort.
Your delusional when or where did I say what you did was easy? Now you and I both know iron purest would reject what you did. That lift is more about rhythm.Brah..since its so easy and wrong..Do it the same way..and post up..big guy
Say Mo, My Pops is ready to get back to exercising and stuff , he played a lot of hoops in his day, but if you are near 70 what type of strength routine would you do for growth and strength ? He had a mild Stroke but is doing OK now. legs are skinny and arms and chest are flat and flabby. Heavy lifting as you put it is out of the question even if you are able to do it.Your delusional when or where did I say what you did was easy? I can't lift like that anymore (yeah I miss it) I'm now on a cane and damn near 70. Working my way back though. But at my age that type lifting is not advised.
Stop hating old man....you sound silly...cant do or lift...and talk to me...I can't even talk to you...you ain't in the game...you outdated... GrampsYour delusional when or where did I say what you did was easy? Now you and I both know iron purest would reject what you did. That lift is more about rhythm.

I'm around your age. Tore up my rotator when I was still a teen. Fucked up my back when I was teen lifting an insane amount of weight. I now am lifting heavy and shoulders feel better than they did my entire life. Back hasn't flared up in a minute. I used to have to sleep on the fucking floor. That's how bad it was.I was feeling like a lone wolf. After 10yrs, I've been 5 months shoulder pain free. I had to stop lifting a few years ago. Had to go to the emergency room a few times for my back a few times. Dealing joint stiffness and pain. I use to leg press 600-700 lbs for 25 reps easily, bench in the 300s. Ligaments and body is feeling that shit now.
No not any more but there's no hate here, what makes you think I would waste a good hate on you? You have a need to feel important? That fail is as bogus as that lifting you seem so proud.Stop hating old man....you sound silly...cant do or lift...and talk to me...I can't even talk to you...you ain't in the game...you outdated... I know but he was bragging so I wanted to mess with him. But he turned hostile. But its really the guys you work out with. The guys I worked with you finish reps squeeze at the top or it doesn't count. Focus more on form and execution not numbers.Wait. What? The man did 315 for fucking 30 and you typed that response? Seriously? 10 'full' reps? I can damn near guarantee 99 percent of the people on earth who can do 315 for a good number of reps respect his lift(315 for 5 or 6 don't count). So no fucking iron purest going to reject that shit. Why? Because every fucking purest knows a lifeform that throws around 315 like that is maxing out some SERIOUS weight.
I ain't talking those pretty boy, non-functional, 'feel the muscle' types. Cats all show, no go. Form nazis usually are. Either they claim they were strong in the past or have some excuse why they aren't strong now.
'Iron purist' that know strength aren't really form nazis for rep puts. I'm talking cats who can full extension 405 at least once on the bench without crazy arch. The higher you go, the less likely they are to talk shit about his reps because that's how you play with 315 when you doing 450, 500, and up. It's a right of passage. Every 500 pound bencher I'ver ever fucking seen has played with 315 with reps that look the same. Not necessarily for 30, but we talking 20 or close to it.
Good times. I’m still relatively young (not quite 40) but I do mostly calisthenics. My body was also sore and tight from heavy lifting. A jump gone wrong gave me a disc issue. Now I only deadlift heavy with a hex bar. 515 is cool for me. I squat occasionally but don’t go over 315. Handstand push-ups, pull ups, dips, one handed pull ups and one legged squats keeps the muscle on just fine. Strength is fine too. But as a former lifter I agree. This man Killa, is the truth. He is by far NOT a weak man. Even if they are half reps he’s still completing a WARMUP. We’ve all seen dudes do push-ups that way to get primed for something. I got nothing but love and respect for the folks on this board so I’m not about to talk shit but for real, some of y’all need to rethink your comments. The man’s strength is no joke.I'm around your age. Tore up my rotator when I was still a teen. Fucked up my back when I was teen lifting an insane amount of weight. Them butchers wanted to cut me open for years. Band pull aparts, face pulls, and shoulder pressing with free weights healed my shoulders. For the first time in decades I can bench with a normal grip without any fucking pain. I can incline and touch my chest with no shoulder problems.I'm still like![]()

Old timers in the 50s and 60s never had rotator issues because they shoulder pressed like mad. Modern lifters have weak shoulders and bench too much.
It sound crazy, but shoulder pressing while standing has strengthened my core/back like fucking crazy. I also use different bars. Swiss, fat, etc to prevent overuse.
I also started doing a ton of supplements that heal the body. Way more than recommended doses seem to work, but I'm 270 plus.
Fountain of youth man. Now I am no longer one of those 'I used to get it in" cats. Also get the cardio in for the heart.

I'm not killa but if I was you I wouldn't even focus on flat bench pressing at all and do strictly incline movements only, presses, dumbbell flys...ect, for the look and the strength and not to go super heavy from the start but to work your way up monthly increasing 25 every month.Don't focus on reps so hard, focus on moving the weight and how you feel(do you feel the pump, you feel the workout). If you feel any shoulder pain, lighten the load or do something else.Im barely pressing 150lbs 12-15 times (youth-house muscle lol).
Do I need to do another secondary muscle exercise to improve my bench or max out on reps at 150?
Im trying to reach 215-230 at 20-30 reps.

Got damn it's some old ass mufuckaz round here.
Damn Good shit Killa!!
Niggas killing me in here.....You can tell who lifts and who doesn't by the type of shit they're saying. Critiquing the form, the raising of the legs etc.
This Brotha did 30 reps with his legs up, strict form....No Bench shirt, no chalk, no smelling salts, no SPOTTER...
completely eliminating back arching while also keeping core engaged for balancing...that shit is even HARDER
the most i've ever done back in the day when I focused on prioritization and heavier lifts was 425 and that was only for 3 reps.....the VERY next set I fucked up my AC Joint and ruptured multiple ligaments in the shoulder....that was 15 years ago and my shit still kinda fucked up...I only fuck with Dumbbells now for flat and incline bench.
Still go heavy with Deadlifts, Farmers Walks, and relatively heavy for squats...
Son inspired me with this shit.....I'm doing more treatment and rehab on my shoulder. and gonna focus on getting my weight up with my pressing movements...
Killa mayne, so look I’m 6’0 200lbs im trying to level up my bench press.
Im barely pressing 150lbs 12-15 times (youth-house muscle lol).
Do I need to do another secondary muscle exercise to improve my bench or max out on reps at 150?

Respect.
As I mentioned over the years, speed kills. You blow 315 out the hole for quick reps, you getting strong as shit. It's science fact that trying to move a weight as fast as possible murders slow, methodical reps when it comes to producing power, strength, and fiber recruitment.
I think the difference is some people train just to look like the train while some train to rip humans apart if need be.![]()
my dad used to preach this. power movements. Own the weights. fuck that slow shit.Respect.

Another thing I notice people not mentioning in here is BACK AND SHOULDERS,you can go heavy on the back but don't make the mistake of trying to do the same with shoulders there important not to the point of fucking up something.
Also curling, biceps and triceps,if you notice most people lifting heavy on that bench have huge arms most of the times....you could never do enough
Hell yeah. Pushups can help build some crazy stamina and diamond pushups have been shown on EMG to recruit the triceps a lot. As you already know, triceps are the bench.
