I wouldn't surprise me at all, if all that time he missed in the offseason, disputing his contract, hurt him. Let's look at this from a business stand point.

Had he gone to offseason training camp, then it's a possibility, he would have been more ready for the season and increase his chance for a big payday. Instead, he gambled, currently looks bad and likely is out of a job.

Been a jets fan for about 20/25 years. This is so disheartening. After the end of last season the only saving grace was believing this team was going to be better and at least make the playoffs. I'll be shocked if we win 3 more games this year. Being in the media capital of the world and having a fan base of mostly racist cacs didnt help Geno and it won't help Bowles. Geno struggles with pocket presence and holding onto the ball to long otherwise he can play. He just never got a chance believe it or not. He has to lead Sunday and win or he's done on this team.

My uncle played cornerback for the Jets way back in Joe Namath days, so, I was automatically a Jets fan growing up. I must admit that I am not happy with any of the current quarterbacks on the team. It's hard to get excited about this team right now.
