During our 5 game winning streak when we were averaging 28-31 points a game what was the offense doing? Power run game and use it to set up the pass. We ran the ball all 4 quarters... In our 4 losses we ran the ball 3.5 times per game in the 2nd half. Makes no damn sense.
Have you seen at any point this season where we've bunched in 22 personnel, run the ball a few times and then hit a hard play action pass off of it?... I"m not talking about that bullshit play-action we do where Kap is in shotgun and then fakes it to no one either.
How about 22 personnel where the 2 backs were Gore & Hunter perhaps?. Send them both into the pattern. Let a LB try to keep up with them in space.
How about coming out in 22 personnel and then splitting everyone out creating an empty backfield set? That would certainly confuse the defense and create mismatches...
There is a lot you can do with a basic personnel package and formations to make the defenses life very hard. We just haven't seen it.
