49ers

^^^CO-Sign infinity x2 dammit!

Great with the power run and we have the personnel to do it. Yet in our last 2 losses he completely abandoned it. Versus the Colts we averaged 8.5 yards per power run. Panthers, 5.8 yards. Why completely abounded them in the 2nd half of 1-score games?

In addition to Balwin's 4.4 speed he's is 6'4" tall with a 42" vertical. He's a matchup problem. We saw in the Rams game how the defense respected him even though we didn't throw to him. When we did throw to him, he got separation, made the catch and moved the chains. How did the light bulb not go and someone say, "this kid needs to be on the field more".

As you said, changes should have been made weeks ago. Not after a bad performance.

the thing is kyle williams hasn't had a GOOD performance. that's why its so fucking stupid

Baldwin is the wr we needed and that people were talking about trading for...already on the roster.
but they showed their ass playing kyle williams this entire time. who didn't deserve a roster spot.
badlwin could have been the man this entire time helping boldin and then manningham coming back have had us right there in passing to go with the running. a 4.4. 6'4" guy can't get on the field but a 5'10" dunce who can't catch can.... :smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

and just go to yourtube and type in lamichael james highlights and see if he can run a screen pass

better yet go youtube kendall hunter and see if he can run a screen pass

offensively they are holding this team back like i said many moons ago. GREG ROMAN is.

i will repeat it until they do it why not use hunter more and james more why not use baldwin why not give macdonald more than 1 opportunity per game.. he misses the only target and somehow its his fault the game was on the line... let's see you not be targeted all game and then make the 1 catch and then go back to not being involved that's the fucking problem. nobody can get into a rhythm or feel for the game because we only do things 1 time and whether it works or not we don't do it again

case in point

the play kap made a bad pass on to boldin which would have been a touchdown. clearly there was something there with that look and route, how come we didn't run it again?

clearly madconald can beat the panthers lb down the field why didn't we try it again?

because vernon is the only one allowed to run those routes?

see what i mean?

fucking dufus of a coach and jim gets a lot of blame for letting him operate how he is.

the thing is kyle williams hasn't had a GOOD performance. that's why its so fucking stupid

I was talking about the offense overall. Kyle Williams and good performance don't even belong in the same sentence together.... OK, that's not 100% true. He can fair catch with the best of them.

I said this before, now that Williams is gone their shouldn't be any limitations. Baldwin will be on the field. James will be suited so he should be worked into the offense.

Hunter was being worked into the game on Sunday but after the fumble (which was just a good defensive play) he never got the ball again. So stupid. :smh:

You mentioned the passes to Boldin and McDonald. That's exactly what's frustrating. Those plays were there. The power run was there. Yet they were never gone back to in a close game. Didn't flip the play and run them on the other side of the field or nothing.

I haven't said this previously but the long pass to McDonald was one of the best passes I've ever seen Kap throw. It was an absolute dime. Leading the receiver, right on his hands, with validity to get it down field yet good touch that it was easy to catch. McDonald has to muscle up and pull that in.

He does, however he needs more than 1 opportunity a game to make a big play.

it's like sitting the bench all day and then coming in and being expected to hit the 3 for the game winning shot

give him more chances it was a perfect pass and 1 play. and it wasn't the last possession and they never went back to it knowing that macdonald showed he can beat the linebacker down the field

I think the 49ers can beat the Saints,if they run the ball..I saw what the Jets did to them a few weeks ago....but the 49ers can't get impatient if they're down a few points, because that's what teams usually do and lose...

The Saints can't stop the run and that's what we do best. So you think it's a no brainer.

However...

As you've seen from the posts in this thread our brilliant coordinator tends to get away from it even when we're ahead.

I never understood why offensive coordinators get away with something they do best or get away with something that's working for them...it makes no fucking sense at all...:smh::smh::smh:

Exactly...

Imagine the Broncos coming out in 3 tight-end sets and pounding the rock 40 times during a game. You'd be ready to throw your shoe at the TV.

I think we might have to do that today against the Chiefs....:smh::smh::smh:...but yeah..I don't understand why offensive coordinators does stupid shit like that....:smh::smh::smh:

I got yall winning the game today...good luck...

The Saints will put up 20+ points on us, so we will need to outscore them to win.
I hope Kap is ready b/c he needs to step his game up.
Seems like he's going through a sophomore slump right now.
He's not going through his progressions fast enough.... hes waiting for WR's to get open as opposed to "anticipating" or "throwing them open".... as a result he's throwing 100 mph darts & forcing balls.

We can't have shit like this against the Saints.
Boldin & Miller were WIDE OPEN underneath for the dumpoff, instead Kap forced the ball down field to Manningham for an INT.

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

come on curt you're parroting what everyone else is saying instead of looking at the tape.

and on that play with that time left those few yards with no timeouts gets you absolutely nothing. so to pick that play out? you'd have to just pick every play out by every qb in last second situations with no timeouts to go

and ain't no will score x on us.

Kap should have dumped the ball off.
They (Boldin/Miller) were already running towards the sideline.
That would have been a 10-15 yard gain with 30 seconds left on the clock.
Man we did have enough time left.
All we needed was a field goal.... not a touchdown.

Like I said before Kap is not bad like Alex Smith, but he's just going through a sophomore slump right now.
Yea I picked out that one play, but there have been plenty of plays where I saw him not even see the open man or force balls too hard.
He just needs to step up more is all I'm saying.... Roman & Kap & the WR's & the O-line!

he needs to step up but it isn't because of the reasons you and a lot of people are saying.

it comes down to trust. and it come down to play calls.

he never trusted kyle.. the few completions he did have last sunday 3 were to boldin and 3 were to manningham which lends itself to our point that williams was bad. keep in mind williams has been starting all season so he's been out there with 1 wr and 1 te all season long.. brady before gronk got back numbers were pretty much the same thing.. but brady gets a pass and kap is held to task...

none of this doesn't mean he doesn't need to step up more. but its not as bad as the narrative says it is

there's just nobody open on every route. so he has to start running the ball more

and roman has to call more than 1 wham play in a half. it worked and he didn't do it again.

he keeps calling dumb shit on the early downs and then getting us behind the chains for the rest of the downs.

get some good yards then go ahead and try something.

defense has to get it together in the red zone. but the last one wasn't their fault. i look for them to come out inspired all we need is a stop.

colin is playing pretty good aside from not running. if he ran he wouldn't be getting sacked but i can't be too mad if he's trying to find someone and they show the replay and literally nobody is open.

manningham has to go for that ball more so colin doesn't get a pick there

macdonald has to make that catch on 3rd down.

and we have to establish gore period. the jets can run on them but we can't?

we're in good position. let's go out there and make sure our special teams coverage is good defense is sound offense is in rhythm and we can pull this out.

the big kick return hurt us was not expecting that.

We can't block, Carlos Rogers couldn't cover simon birch.. I hate this fucking season, the Niners piss me off

i told you about rogers

however

the refs did not call 1 major call against the saints

did not call any clear pi

and gave them the ball back and 15 yards when it should have been our ball

we never get the call in the superdome!!..:angry:..those refs got us again in this game!!..:angry:

also, we need to do better on offense!!..kaep holding that ball to long also, we can block like we use to on that o-line!!..:angry:

somebody has to be open for him to throw it to them

there has to be a play design that makes sense.

both those things dont' happen with roman

so it is what it is

Of course people will blame the refs & playcalling once again, but bottom line is......
We should not have even been in that position to begin with!
The offense didn't do shit yet again.
We only scored TD's b/c of turnovers & a short field!

We are not ready, this is not a playoff team!
Kap goes 17/31 for only 127 yards against a Saints defense that's not even that good.
Saints were stacking the box with 8-9 men & playing the run the entire game.... and you still only throw for 127 yards?
Scrambling 15 yards BACK INTO the endzone for an "almost safety"
Last possession last play running out of bounds on 3rd down, short of the marker.

I said this shit during preseason... OUR WR'S ARE JUST NOT GOING TO CUT IT!
49ers fans on here talking about "don't worry someone will step up"
Ninjas on here saying Boldin is a #1 WR & AJ Jenkins was not a bust :hmm:
We have no speed, no one to stretch the field besides Vernon.
Coaches were probably trying to play hard ball & negotiate with the Browns for a lower draft pick for Josh Gordon.
I will say this again, we should have immediately traded a 2nd rd pick, for that dude.
On top of that dude was still in his rookie deal, so it would not have been a big cap hit

At this point we are in jeopardy of not even making the playoffs.
We are in the fight of our lives just for a wildcard spot!

lol how can you not blame the refs when they took the game with no calls and the play calling when he runs gadget plays on 1st down and never takes a shot deep. they can only run the plays that are called and how many times did they show a replay and LITERALLY NOBODY WAS OPEN

drew brees had 3 big plays, that is he had 30 completions to get 300 yards he was dinking and dunking like we should have been or going for it all but we did neither.

and you totally neglect that as soon as he's done with his drop the defenders are standing right there right? im trying to figure out where he was supposed to go with it... looks like the exact same thing brees did isn't it?

because of 1 man

1 man is the difference between 9-1 and 6-4

and until he goes we won't go
he should've been fired after he cost us the super bowl

I keep saying this, but people are not listening to me
Kap doesnt go through his reads fast enough & then tries to zip the ball in at 100 mph
Even when a WR is open, Kap sometimes does not scan the field well enough to find the open man
The coaches have even tried to simplify the offense for him.
Having WR's run the same type routes or WR's in close proximity of each other ... to make the reads easier

man look at the replays

he's holding the ball because nobody is open...

its really as simple as that

everything people said he wouldn't do he did today

he went through his reads through it to who was open and even checked down...

now if gore can make a catch on that play which he should have he has a touchdown but he didn't

oh and did you also notice how majority of the scrambles where kap was buying time.. on the replays they show you what he sees and we see the wr's blocking instead of trying to break open?

yea gonna be real successful with that huh :smh:

I have a suspicion Jim Harbaugh will agree with what I'm about to write. I suspect Harbaugh believes Greg Roman is not good enough to be the 49ers' offensive coordinator.

I sure don't think he's good enough.

Harbaugh has stressed again and again, “This is Greg Roman's offense.”

When I first heard that simple declarative statement, I thought, “Gee, Harbaugh is praising the underling. That's nice of Harbaugh to give someone else credit.”

Just watched some of the game again
SMH @ our QB calling a timeout when we did not have any timeouts left.

Also in the 4th qtr, remember when Kap threw to Vernon in the endzone, but Vernon was being held?
Well Anquan was open for the TD, he had inside position on the DB.
On top of that Manningham was WIDE DA FUCK OPEN, (on the far left side), he did not even have anyone defending him.... no one.
Seemed like Kap was thinking from pre-snap "I'm going to force this to Vernon no matter what".
When the ball was snapped, he locked onto Vernon & didn't even bother to look at anyone else.

Like I said Kap isnt bad, but he is having a sophomore slump right now.
He has a lot of work/studying to do during the offseason.

Yup & people will swear "Kap has no one to throw to, everyone is always covered"
I saw a bunch of plays like that in the Panthers game.
And whats with him taking another sack with less than 2 minutes on the clock, when we are trying to drive down the field for a score?

Check the game highlights @ the 2:15 mark
Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions?
Tell me what you see, cause I see Manningham wide open on that route... no one at all was defending him!
