49ers

we aren't stupid schitt. we see it so they can't tell us bull and then have us buy it. simple as that

I hear you playa. I know you know. You're an educated fan and I appreciate talking football with ya.

However, I've been talking to Niner fans all day and some of them have been saying a lot of things that are not correct. They just look at the final score and say things like "we got blown out", "we got out muscled", "our offense sucks". Meanwhile a lot of them didn't watch the game, nor are they looking at the breakdown of things to understand what truly is going on.

I like my fellow Niner fans to talk educated football. Especially when it's regarding our own team.

Neither does the media or anyone. they just say shit and it's ok.

like they keep giving nnamdi an f grade for his games

he played 34 snaps yesterday does anyone remember him being out of position or anything happening with him? NOPE he's played damn good this season. entire secondary has honestly

we've given up more rushing yards and touch downs than passing having faced rogers, luck and wilson.

and our defense is playing 20+ more snaps than the offense is in the game and that's only because of the offense lack of production.

shameful on the coaches behalf

and the solution is so simple

I hear the talk about balance. Right now you're going to hear coaches say the "politically correct" thing. However, we know it's all bullshit.

Lets look at the play calling through the quarters.
Q1 - Run: 9 Pass: 6
Q2 - Run: 3 Pass: 6
Q3 - Run: 5 Pass: 7
Q4 - Run: 0 Pass: 16

I'd like to go back to what I mentioned earlier. After the Colts FG to make the score 13-7 in the 3rd quarter it was still a simple 1 score game. We could run everything in the playbook. The play calling breakdown was - Run: 1 Pass: 9. Where is the balance there???

On our scoring drive the play calling breakdown was Run: 5 Pass: 4. That is balanced play calling. Why didn't we go back to that? For those wondering the yardage breakdown on the scoring drive was Run: 78 Pass: 14. As you can clearly see, the running plays was how we moved the ball effectively.

I don't understand why coaches panic, after being down a touchdown...They start to go away that works for them and start passing the ball on every down.....:hmm:

*looking at you Shannahan and McDummy*

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

Injury update:

Patrick Willis will be OUT for Thursdays game vs the Rams!
Willis is scheduled to undergo an MRI on groin. :(

Also, Nnamdi Asomugha is also scheduled to undergo an MRI on his right knee.

And of course we know about Aldon Smith.
Probably looks like at least a month in rehab, until Aldon gets his shit together!

Good thing we have that quality veteran depth at OLB, to help out Corey Lemonier.
Oh yea thats right, Harbaugh traded Parys Haralson & Cam Johnson for a stupid 7th rd pick!

Think about this. In a tied ballgame, in the 2nd quarter, the ineffective passing game was called twice as much as the highly effective running game. Where is the balance there? More importantly where is the common sense to call what's effective?

I'm just going to quote myself from August 26th...

Parys Haralson traded to the Saints
http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/source-parys-haralson-traded-saints

Pisses me off because we need the depth. I was loving the idea of him and Corey backing up Aldon & Ahmad.

Last season when Aldon was clearly injured and Ahmad was beat up we couldn't take them off the field because we had no one. That's why I didn't want to let Haralson or Johnson go.

I figured Davis, Willis and Mr. Washington would be out for the Rams game.

I want to see LeMichael James active. We need him in the kick return game and run game.

I also want to see Owen Marecic active. If Roman goes back to the power run game he can fill the void left out by Delanie Walker and Will Tukuafu.

Fam, this is what pissed me off the most this season!
Parys can be a starter on at least half of the NFL teams.
He looked like his old self during the preseason... better in fact b/c he was actually getting pressure on the QB.
Harbaugh traded him away for only a damn 7th round pick!!!

We could have had him in on 1st & 2nd down running plays, & Corey rotate in on 3rd down passing situations.
Having Parys on the field to contain runs would have be good, since Ian Williams is out for the year.
We are asking a lot out of our rook Lemonier.

And Dan Skuta was an inside LB, but we converted him to outside & special teams, this preseason.
We will see what happens on Thursday.

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

^^I agreed with you 1000% homie. Parys started immediately for the Saints. We could have just inserted him without missing a beat. Now its looking like Skuta on run downs and Corey on passing downs.

did jim do that or did baalke do that trying to be cute? I'd go with Baalke

It was definitely Baalke. He loves to trade for extra picks. Only this time he traded a quality veteran backup (that we missed last season and needed this season) for a low ass pick.

for no reason.

there's no way jim goes out there and says heck yea we keeping him, to trade him...

and now we'll see what the coaching staff offensively is made of. and we'll see what the offense is made of. they've cost us 2 games already.

if roman goes out there and does the same plan 3 weeks in a row it will be time to give him the axe PERIOD.

1st year we moved the ball but we couldn't punch it in, everyone was blaming alex smith, i wasn't i was blaming the correct person the coordinator.

last season we moved the ball and only got a little decent in the red zone people blamed alex and then came in to gloat once kap took over and i stood by my stance it wasn't alex it was the play calling.

and his horrible play calling cost us a super bowl. if you can't dial up 1 play out of 3 to get 5 yards for a championship then you are not worth shit imo. i let that go.

now we can't even move the ball, and where is everyone at?

why is nobody listening to what i have been saying about roman being cute instead of coming up with the correct plan to win games. i do not believe for one minute he looks at film. i believe he just draws shit up and says it'll work.

it's not hard to counter everything defenses are doing with us.

here i was thinking our offense would be hybrid because we truly have the personnel to make that happen.

but he ran the same game plan 2 weeks in a row we just went though this with raye as the o coordinator.

our defense is giving it their all and due to cosmetic td's at the end it makes it look like they played bad.

the season will be ok we'll get it corrected go on a streak cause the talent is there.

roman needs to put his bitch ass ego aside and call a correct game. when we run the correct game plan we're unstoppable its that simple.

they're talking about executing... no execution wasn't the problem. even if they executed the last 2 weeks the plan was total shit.

the cowboys murray just ran for 176 yards against the rams sunday

let's see if they do that or come out passing and not running like we should have been the entire season...

people wrongly saying gore lost a step and i said no the hell he didn't run real plays

and what happened?

the frustrating aspect is how as a coordinator do you see that drive and not say ok we are going to duplicate this drive and run these types of plays until they prove they can stop it.

how as a coordinator do you have that type of drive and then NEVER go back to it again like you weren't watching the game?

I don't know how yall deal with Seahawk fans....:smh::smh:

Talk logically to them. That usually shuts them up whenever I have a discussion with one of them.

5 out of 6 NFC playoff teams have a record lower than .500 right now. Yes Seattle is the loan team but they have played Carolina, beat up San Francisco and Jacksonville. Not exactly a hard schedule.

Super Bowls aren't won in September. Last season the Cardinals started 4-0. Look at how their season turned out.

There is still a lot of football to be played. Lets see how things play out.

They act like they're already Superbowl champ, when its only 3 weeks into the season..

I know every team have their fanatics, but dayum,I never seen a group of fans already proclaiming themselves Superbowl champs...

I know people who gave up on them for years and then all of a sudden their fans again...:confused:

Now they want throw little shots at my team...

I remember them being at the bottom of the AFC West constantly, when the division was the best in football...

I mean it's all good. I enjoy it. It's not written in stone.

We can easily go on a winning streak here and I think we will reassert ourselves and contenders.

I just dislike when fans try to discredit what we've done these past two years, we've played tough schedules JUST LIKE THEM and we even beat Atlanta in Atlanta after they couldn't but somehow we didn't do anything.

I'm happy they have something to root for, I think it's better when we have fierce competition it should make us as 49ers better.

Greg Roman is full of it

Against the Colts you called two runs in particular in the first quarter that were very successful, runs for RB Frank Gore outside that both were for more than 20 yards. What I want to know is, why did you choose not to call each play a second time? Was it new scheme? Were you surprised at how successful those particular runs worked out?

"Again, those plays probably would have been revisited, but really just the opportunity to call them didn't come up based on certain things that they adjusted to, how they adjusted. So, repeating successful plays is something we'll do. And just didn't have a chance to get back to them really."

Greg Roman is full of it

Like I said, the coaches are going to say things but we know they are bullshit.

It's not about calling the same plays, but calling a style of play that was effective. Roman has been getting away from the run since last season. I'll take you guys back to the NFC Championship game. Remember this:
Gore.gif

^That's Frank letting Jim know we need to run the ball. We were very pass happy to start the game and did not generate any offense.

After this the Falcons jumped out to 17-0 lead. We got get back into the game by running the ball. Our next possession started out with 4 straight runs. That opened things up in the passing game and Kaep made some completions. The drive was capped off with the LaMichael James run for a TD.

The run game is what we do. Establishing the run sets up everything else for the offense. We've seen the amount of creative formations and different plays that can be called. YET, they are non-existent this season.

We could and should be 3-0 right now.

we will see what Jim is made of right now if he'll be humble like he preaches all the time or will he insist on being arrogant and not maximizing the talent we have.

We need to make a statement and go on a dominant tear these next 5 games before the by week. by the bye we should be in the elite conversation once again.

we'll see

Just spoke to Jim Harbaugh. Asked him about Vernon Davis status. He said, "it looks good, he's felling good."

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 2m
Asked #49ers tight end Vernon Davis is playing tonight: "Oh yeah. He's not 100 percent, but he's going to go."

Vernon Davis WILL play tonight :D

On a side note:
Rams CB's Finnegan & Jenkins are only 5'10" & a little less than 200 lbs
49ers WR Jon Baldwin is 6'4" & 230 lbs

Translation:
Roman..... We better see a heavy rotation of Quinton Patton & Jon Baldwin for this game!

:angry::angry::angry:

^^^Good stuff CurtDawg. I saw Davis will give it a go also. I wonder how limited he'll be.

I don't think Balwin will play much. He was working with the practice squad all week.

It's only the fourth game of the season, so this isn't a must win game for the 49rs. At the same time, although other fans don't recognize it, after last season every NFC West fan knows how tough the Rams are.

At less than full strength, and on the Rams home field, I don't think that the 49rs can pull this one out. I mean, no Aldon Smith or Patrick Willis? Secondly, the 49rs should be trolling the waiver wire for new receivers--ones that can get open against man coverage. Overall, I think that the 49rs will get it together, but just not yet. I have the Rams beating the 49rs 34-21.

not about the wr it about play selection

our defense is doing everything its supposed to do

if they stick with the power run then we can win if they get cute like they have then it'll be a long tough game.

greg roman simply doesn't make any sense.

i'm not even gonna quote all the posts but we know what it is.

run it play action pass hit on the bunch formations and we in there you can't stop us.

and next colin needs to settle in, go ahead and let it rip, and also scramble for the 1st downs on short yardage passing situations keep the chains moving and that's it.

the entire defense played just like they had the entire season.

they got to be FRESH tonight and that was the entire difference.

they played just as good for 3 quarters but the offense didn't help and then they gave way.

special teams is sure up i have no complaints about it. the coverage and what they have done this year and with austin no complaints

eric reid is a fucking stud.

if he was ever out of position they would make sure that they threw at him, they don't even throw deep passes on us to his side anymore.

good win tonight vs the rams!!...:dance:

we play 49ers football tonight!1...we ran the ball and play great defense!!..:dance:

LET"S GO 49ERS!!!!...:dance::dance:

Having Vernon in this game was big, b/c the Rams couldn't double Anquan all game long.
Jon Baldwin only had two catches, but his presence appeared to open up the defense.
Baldwin is so big, you cant man up 1-on-1 with him every play.
I noticed after the 1st quarter, Baldwin was in on more plays than Kyle Williams.

It should be Jon Baldwin & Anquan Boldin on the outside.
They have Kyle playing out of position.
Kyle is only a slot WR!
Marlon Moore should be inactive every game this season & cut when Manningham comes back.
I don't know what the hell the coaches saw in Moore during the preseason, dude brings nothing to the table.

:cool::cool::cool:

we don't know what moore can do because we don't use him

however baldwin should be the starter his presence is there and he caught passes in tight coverage.

i like badlwin a LOT and he showed more tonight than williams has his entire career, you can't line williams out wide just keep boldin and baldwin in and we'll be more than alright we still don't use mcdonald enough he still blocks excellent and catches the ball and makes plays he's a red zone killer and we need to get hunter more touches.. he breaks a huge gain EVERY GAME

I remember seeing Marlon Moore had like 25 snaps last game vs the Colts, & also had like 15 or so snaps against the Seahawks.
Dude only has 1 catch for 6 yards.
He's just simply not getting it done....no separation at all.

If Baldwin can step up, then we wont need to go after Gordon from the Browns.
We just need to weather the storm & get healthy these next few days.

moore like williams like patton is a slot.

that's where they'll make their money. so we need to see what he does in the slot. he's not a 2 and he's not an effective slot if williams is the 2.

badlwin is who we need at the 2 you cannot double boldin with baldwin out there and vd out there. just can't do it he's too big.

hopefully it stays this way and then crab comes and we move baldwin to the slot where no 3rd cb will be able to line up with him.

like i said when he walked off last night
