The port begging has started
Then the mods step in.

besada

Hi, this thread is a mess. I could do what I did last time, which is ban a dozen or so people. I have their posts lined up in tabs right how. Instead, I'm going to tell you what we expect from threads like these -- threads about exclusive console games.

We expect you to post something of even minor utility. It's fine if you want to discuss what you like or don't like about a game. It's fine if you wonder if it's going to live up to expectations.

What's not fine is posting "Game looks like ass," as the totality of your comment. We expect more than that of you. Have something to say, or don't post.
It's also not fine to come in and whine about the game not being on your console. You know port begging is bannable. Saying, "I wish this was on my console," meets that definition to me, as it always leads to a response that always leads to list war style derails. Don't do it.
Another thing that isn't fine is the hyper-defensiveness of whichever "team" actually has the exclusive. If someone says they don't like the game, the correct response does not involve suggesting they're just saying it to be a console warrior. This has to stop, too.

Talk about the game. If there's nothing to talk about, quit posting and let the thread fall to its doom. Do not use it as a convenient space to grind axes and shit on each other.

I'm going to treat this thread -- up to this point -- as a learning experience. A whole bunch of people, on all sides of the aisle, are getting a reprieve. But if I see this behavior continue, here or in other threads, I will hand out the bans hot and heavy, and they won't be gentle little two weekers.

As always, if you'd like to discuss this or any other moderation policy, PM a mod.

Can’t eveer get enough screenshots of Bungie’s upcoming massive shooter Destiny and today we get three new glimpses on the game.

The first, that you can see above, is an actual screenshot of the game, showcasing the Shrike bikes we’ll get to ride. The other two, that you can enjoy below, were showcased during a presentation at GDC by Nvidia, and show the ambient occlusion effect used for the game thanks to the OptiX tech. The last screenshot at the bottom is an old one portraying the same location, to give you an idea of the transition from work in progress to gameplay.

Titanfall Expedition DLC Coming in May
Expedition includes three new maps.

Respawn Entertainment unveiled the next batch of Titanfall DLC today at PAX East.

Titled Titanfall Expedition, the DLC will arrive in May with three maps that take place after Titanfall's campaign.

The promo picture below shows a sneak peak at a map called "Swampland." One main feature of the map is the large number of trees which allow you to wall run in crazy, unpredictable paths. The second map, Runoff, is loosely connected to Swampland. According to the developers, "it has a lot of pipes and water." War Games, the last map, takes place within the area titan pilots train in.
Respawn is also adding the ability to customize titans with decals -- an often-requested feature from fans. Also, you'll be able to meet up with new Titanfall players by using identical hash tags.

"It's supposed to span beyond just gaming sites," Respawn said at its PAX East panel. "You don't have to trade gamertags and make parties and be online at the same time. It's not a way to boost. It's a way to coordinate so you can choose your teammates."

A recent patch added the Private Match mode, allowing you to play with and against your friends either casually or in tournaments. It also colors party members differently so it's easier to know where they are in the game.

No new gane modes? Really? Respawn plans to nickel and dime us too? Cant even rename your pilot class smh. I don't like where this is headed

Shit i think the current maps are great. Hope they match or exceed with the same level of creativity. Zip lining and parkouring through trees sounds dope

Titanfall developer Respawn announced at their PAX East panel today that they'll be bringing new modes, among various other tweaks, to their heartwarming game about soldiers and the robots they so dearly love. One such mode will be a 2v2 variant of Last Titan Standing, where all players begin with their walking deathmachines. Considering how well that went for us, maybe we'll stay away. But then, we're masochists, so ...

Respawn said that they'll also be introducing new ways to make the titular Titans more tantalizing: Titan-themed burn cards and Titan insignias are on the to-do list, as is a new matchmaking system that will let players use hashtags to filter through private games until they find one they like. Lastly, Respawn will also be introducing "rifts," which will introduce various tweaks to already-existing modes.

All these micro-updates will be free, while Titanfall's first map pack DLC, Expedition, will cost $10.

well since EA is publishing the game after all..

yo, why does Ryse get such a bad rep on here?

I just finished it and thought the game was great. Yeah, it's a bit repetitive, but still had a lot of fun and I haven't done any of the Gladiator combats yet. Graphics were amazing as well.

Shit, if Crytek can build on this game the way Ubisoft built on the first Assassins Creed, they got the makings out of a nice series.

The last one will be patched :lol:Every one will be doing it today.

Titanfall Mythbusters: Episode 1

Edit - some people are saying it's patched. And some are saying it still works.

April update improves video capture quality among other improvements

Microsoft has confirmed it will roll out the new Xbox One system update throughout the day.

According to a post on the Major Nelson blog, the update will begin rolling out "tonight" in the United States and the UK, and today in Australia.

The updates include a new progress bar to track game and app save states, notifications for newly signed in friends and favourites, Kinect voice and motion improvements as well as improved GameDVR video quality.
The full notes:

  • Game and app saves and updates. A game save progress bar will show you the status of your game saves. You will also be able to easily tell what games and apps are being updated or have been updated recently.
  • Friends improvements. Notifications will be added to see when favorites and friends sign in to Xbox Live. This was one of the most frequently requested features, so we made it a priority to include it in this update. Also, friends who are in multiplayer will be identified in the friends list.
  • Kinect voice and motion improvements will continue to be fine-tuned for quality and reliability of Xbox One commands. For example, we've updated some of the gesture functionality to reduce false positives on non-hand objects triggering gesture commands.
  • Improved GameDVR video quality through compression algorithm improvements.
  • Blu-ray player supports 50 Hz video output for content recorded at 50 Hz. We'll also be updating the Blu-ray Player app in the coming days to round out these improvements.
  • Controller and headset adaptor firmware updates will reduce audio static and improve wireless connectivity.
  • Silent reboot after system updates and system update on demand now available. If your console is in Instant On mode, the update will happen automatically and return to standby upon completion. This means you won't need to power on your console after an update moving forward. If you want to take future updates when available without waiting for your console to do it on its own, we've added this option under system settings and you'll be able to use it next update. It will only show as available when there is an update to take.
This new round of changes follows a large update in March which made general improvements to the console's user interface and Twitch livestreaming support.
