What dates you?

The void. I can tell most creatures fail to conceptualize my descriptons when I am nostalgic for those times.

This happens at my job often.
Especially whenever I make a movie or music reference at work.

When this Sista at work was going on about how much she liked "GRAVITY", I told her with all those positive reviews comparing it to "2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY", that's what I was expecting.

"WHAT'S '2001'?"

Yeah Y'all.
GirlFriend "went there".

Sometimes, I'll say "Right On" or call someone "jive" who I feel isn't doing his/her share at work.

Whenever a 50s/60s/70s/80s song is piped through our music system,
I'm the FIRST one people run to.
And I'm still not the oldest at my gig.

I got the "LAND OF THE GIANTS" DVD box set for 80% off at Amazon recently.
Even my co-workers older than me didn't remember the show.

Bought the Paul Robeson CRITERION box set too.
Only this young Filipino cat I work with knew who he was, but never saw his work. And that's because the cat is an acting student. So he decided to order the same set for himself because I enamored him about Robeson.

Sometimes I call some women at work, "Dearest" and youngbloods, "Cats" or "Brother".
Youngsters at work know I'm not down with that "N-Word" shit.

For me I'm Closer to Off The Wall than BAD or Thriller. 1973.

Off the Wall is the fifth studio album by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979 by Epic Records following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz.

Thriller is the sixth studio album by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was released on November 30, 1982

You're part of the Thriller age, or you're fibbing.

Y'all all got like a good 4 years left

I saw a matinee and 3 movies for $1 when it used to be single movie theaters.
A Tastykake, soda and bag of chips $1
