Stop buying Firesticks. Amazon is disabling side loaded apps.

What type of Android boxes are yall using?

I have the $20 Onn box that I got in March of 2024 and looking at Walmart right now they are still going for $20.

Which one did you get. I need to replace 2 firesticks

Just realized.

Smarters and Tivimate are legit programs, that's why they probably aren't getting removed but my versions are cracked that were sideloaded that means, they can never be uninstalled or they are gone for good.

Yall are getting powerful devices and saving loads in the process.

I paid $27 for that box and there is a sale today for $23. I really like being able to use Firefox again with Ublock Origin. Instead of screwing around with Downloader codes. I can just go to
Code:
https://firetvsticks.com/download-home/
and get what I want without being overrun by spam. Also being able to use a keyboard and mouse and put an SD card in the box is a great plus. Jeff done fucked up.

Jeff has certainly fucked up, Walmart is smart to take advantage of that for the casuals and the rest of us will getting these more powerful boxes, I'm certainly going to purchase one soon myself.

One of the things I like about this Android box is being able to turn it off. Unlike the Firestick that would stay on after I hit the power button and only the TV went off. Subsequently I would unplug the power to the FireStick when I wasn't using it. Just because I know that bitch stayed on data listening.

I stop fucking with Firestick and just got TV with Google already on it. I just add my apps right there.

About thirteen or so years ago we got our first Samsung smart TV and it came with a few IPTV apps. It was the first time I had ever heard of IPTV or apps on a TV. I was entertained and impressed with the new tech. Unfortunately Samsung deprecated the IPTV apps by way of OTA updates over the following years. That pretty much discouraged me from TV's with apps. Fortunately BGOL kept me informed and we got our first Android box 10 years ago.

Well a TV with Google is basically like having a built in Android box. You can download all the same apps because it's the same OS and basically use one remote.

Shit.... This thread is about to make me a convert.

Firestick stays being laggy when trying to navigate between apps.

Does that Android box get laggy?

Will I be able to easily download my IPTV program?

Plus, CINEMA HD runs like dogshit on Firefox, I wonder if it would work better with the Android box.

EDIT: Fuck it... Gonna give it a try!!

Just get a box with good processor specs. That's why the firestick lags, low specs that get overloaded quickly and not enough memory.

This is nuts. Currently I have about 8 firesticks that I have accumulated over 10 years since the Kodi days. One for every TV and some at a relative's house, all with side loaded apps.
