His staying is a testament to his character. A black panther who did dirt and also fell victim to substance abuse, but weathered the storm and now runs his own substance abuse center and is a man willing to risk it all to save his community and his son. Leaving by himself would be the absolute opposite of who he is.

It just dawned on me that Snowfall may do a 100% pivot and focus the show completely in Little Rock. That story is interesting as hell, has never been explored as a tv show, and could give the show two or three more seasons. This would be how they work in a new plug etc.
