agreed. i never get near the damn 6 hour mark where everybody says the red rings pop up at. i think my xbox360 has the falcon software, but i aint takin no damn chances....after a good three hours, rest that shit.

um xbox dropped in 2001, 360 in 2005, the new one is gonna drop late 09 probably, to put the final knife in the back of sony. fuck sony anyway, they said they didnt want xbox owner's business/opinions on their tv's, so when i bought a projector this xmas, i made SURE to not buy a Sony one!

the standard console does last 5 years. while sony says they plan to stand 10 years. i think the 360 has a longer to it than 5. i give it a good 7 like the ps2. as long as they can keep updating their proccessor and adjusting their heat sink issues they can last a long time.
not to mention, since i'm on my third 360 since march of 2007.. i will probably wait a good two years before i invest in another xbox..

I heard if your keep it vertical it scratches the games. Don't know never tried. But 4 rings equals plugs not in 3 rings = death.
I figure that too..when i nudged it my ethernet cord kinda bent.
yeah i worry about the cd scratches. maybe if it were slot load like the ps3 i might, but i dont even stand the ps3. not to mention my shelves cant fit either console standing.
