Gotta disagree with you on this one. MOS was epic but I still think Avengers is the top dog. Either way its a win for the moviegoer.

Avengers didn't surprise me considering the director Joss Whedon is very good at making movies/tv shows with many characters interacting together. Additionally with whit and humor. See Angel, See Buffy, See Firefly etc.

More than anything it's his ability to make all those characters and storyline work which made Avengers a really good comic movie.

With a very impressive opening weekend and an already confirmed sequel, there shouldn't be too many surprises regarding MAN OF STEEL 2. But, how soon can Warner Bros. get the sequel to their hit Superman movie in theaters? How about next year?

The Wall Street Journal, citing "knowledgeable people close to the studio", claims that WB is looking to fast-track MAN OF STEEL 2 for 2014 and plans are back on for JUSTICE LEAGUE to hit screens in 2015. WB was previously holding onto all future plans for their DC cinematic endeavors until they saw how MAN OF STEEL performed, and it looks like they got the answer they wanted.

I find it hard to believe that there have been no plans on developing DC films this entire time. The smart move would have been to get all of their ducks in a row so they only had to sign the contracts to get things moving. On the other hand, Henry Cavill recently signed up to replace Tom Cruise in Guy Ritchie's THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. which would begin filming this year. I am sure his Superman contract would pull him out of that film, but then the question becomes whether or not a quality MAN OF STEEL sequel can happen in such a short amount of time.

More realistically, I would expect a MAN OF STEEL sequel no sooner than 2015 with possible filming happening concurrently on JUSTICE LEAGUE. Even that would require a lot to be done in a short amount of time. Depending on what happens, we may be hearing a lot of major DC announcements in very short order. We will let you know as soon as anything develops.

BIG mistake for Supes 2 in 2014. Don't Avengers 2 come out in 2014? Just watched MAN OF STEEL. Shit was good...in and of itself on it's own merit. Some cats comparin to Avengers, etc but Avengers worked so well in part because all the main characters had succssessful flics leading up to it. So you had the backstory and knowledge of the characters goin in. Big plus.

If Warner rushes Justice League they gonna fuck it up. I hope they don't tho. Cuz damn we could be gettin tight ass superhero action flics every few months between Marvel and Warner for the next few years if they did it right. THen you'll also have Sony and Fox droppin their shitty Spiderman and Wolverine licenses inbetween as well. Warner should do another Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, etc then do Justice League. But hey that's just my opinion. Them corporate big wigs seein that money Marvel is gettin and they want a piece of that pie right now.

I hope WB does a Trinity film, then a JLA movie. They should first do a Wonder Woman film though, and have it similar to Thor with the way they handled the mythological aspects of the character. (same with Hawkman)

Also, they should introduce a new Batman, completely skip his origin, just have him already fighting crime. They could always touch on his origin similar to what they did in MoS.

Do a Trinity film, then JLA. Worlds Finest would be cool, but that could be a sequel far off into the future.

Wonder if they completely will recast Green Lantern.

For me I enjoyed telling the Superman story in flashbacks, especially how getting his powers made him feel alone. Also this was the first Superman movie where I truly felt he is facing a challenge he couldn't win.

Damn I'm actually gonna agree with you!

I've always envision WonderWomen and Aquaman' world the entire atmosphere on some Thor type of setting. Those characters are from that type of society, their culture, laws, mythology etc. Thor has already told DC how to make a WW and AM type of movie.

They could easily do a Green Arrow movie. Hell the current TV Show, Dark Knight movies and even Ironman has giving the recipe on how to do a very realistic interpretation of GA. They could and should throw in the Flash as a supporting character.

Jean, could be introduced in the JLA movie...

The next MOS should introduce the new Batman as a Cameo and then introduced a stand alone Batman movie afterwards. If they play their cards right they could have a really nice JLA movie by 2021 with a bunch of DC movies in-between.

Timeline:

2015-2016 - MOS 2 w/Batman
2016-2017- New Batman
2016-2017- Wonder Women
2017-2018- Aqua-man
2018-2020- Green Arrow w/Flash
2021- JLA w/Jean/Green Latern

While the film makers repeatedly told us that they pretended that no previous iteration of Superman ever existed on film, that message was either a lie, or the art department didn’t get the memo. During a visually stunning, but highly repetitive sequence in the Fortress of Solitude, Jor-El recounts the events of the film’s intro for the sake of his son, and his words are lavishly illuminated by a sea of t-1000-like liquid metal constructs. For a brief moment in this sequence, Jor-El describes sending his son away in a special ship. The AI running the program was clearly a fan of the Donner films, as the ship that it rendered looked less like Man of Steel’s baby ship and more like the spikey Christmas ornament that was the Donner version of the ship.

The ship was created to help colonists survive on a new world. Wouldn't be hard at all to have a 3D clothing printer on the ship. Since Supes had his Kryptonial USB with his father's AI plugged in the ship knew what to make.
