How has the Coronavirus impacted you directly, to this point?

Basically they cannot afford to keep everyone. Business was bad before the virus outbreak but this mad it worse. I am not even upset with the company cause I saw the figures going down b/c I work very close with accounting. I knew my goose was gonna be cooked. I just thought it would be in the summer. Not so freaking early. Nothing I can do about it.

I never been to China but i am affected by some shit that started there.
Butterfly effect muh nicca...

Wifey decided to get her hair done half as often. I'll probably cut back on haircuts to every 2 weeks.
Saving money, since we're not going out.
Buying wifey a .380 or small 9mm. Stocking up on ammo. Not going crazy with it, but I want my fam prepared if shit gets crazy.
Contingency plan to to hang w/ fam in the boondocks if the city becomes too chaotic (food limitations, gas, etc.).
Working my ass off during the day, so if they have to chop some heads at work, I'm not giving them an excuse to pick me.

Bruh, it took Italy 6 weeks to go from case #1 to complete shutdown. Six fucking weeks!!! Conversely, this country acted like this was no big deal for 4 weeks, and we STILL have people taking selfies in crowded places and saying this is no big deal, and now they've discover that this shit can remain airborne for up to 3 hours.
I doesn't help that we have government officials playing politics with this shit.

work for a company that services grocery stores. everyone coming in and it gets worse because it's empty. if people gave two-three days the stores would look better again and everyone would feel better about it. Daughter gonna be home from school with an attitude right now until the middle of April. Wife is a teacher and off.

you drive in manhattan if so which route??

Where to begin....

My Bitcoin lost almost $1,000 value

Tonight's DJ gig is cancelled

Cannabis industry association party and Vegas golf tournament I was about to play are cancelled

Just bought $300 worth of food and water in case the island gets quarantined (no cases so far)

Cancelled my trip to Canada for my daughter's 20th birthday.

Seeing whether or not doordash will let me work despite the San Francisco wide lockdown. Considering volunteering to deliver food and medical supplies to the city.

Spent the last day and a half in bed with this new chick I started seeing. Knew I wouldn't get a chance to smash of I waited.

Both of us are working on a plan to throw virtual dance parties. (Hopefully the Irig I ordered from Amazon yesterday will still be delivered).

Suddenly realized that stores aren't allowed to sell alcohol on the island. Considering stocking up and bootlegging.

More than anything trying to figure out a plan to stay sane and take as many people with me as possible.

Stay safe my friends

gotta move.... almost 2 months sooner! Gotta have a place to be by Friday
got a good supply of tissue bleach & alcohol..........
my internships are toast!
the semester is a wrap! All classes are now online.
got my car fixed
incorporated a business

This shit has cause my workload to increase and is killing me. I own my own cleaning business( I have 5 accounts), and I work "part time" as a merchandiser/vendor for Nabisco. Yeah I said part time but these muthafuckas trying to take advantage now and I'm getting over 40 hours. I work M-F for Nabisco and do all my weekly cleaning Sat and Sun so I never get a day off for shit. I have an employee b/c one of my accounts is a 3 times a week cleaning, too far for me to do right now got my best friend that lives there handling it for me.

I know I'm gonna catch this shit from my cleaning on weekends and merchandising at all the stores I go to. The shit stay packed with people. One good thing is I'm always at some store when their truck of toilet paper comes in so I know I can get my hands on some when I run out. These stores are making a killing right now

did'nt you say you were infected?
Yeah I did. I am thinking it happened at either Walmart or the Dollar Store. Currently I am home chilling. Still feeling well. Had diarrhea yesterday but I am not sure that was because of corona because I did eat some tacos.

Other than that pretty much nothing. The wife said she is having some chest pain which has me worried

no food on the shelves...

no hand sanitizer anywhere in the country...

people startin' to price gouge...

my job is lettin' anybody call in sick...and stay home for up to 7 days...paid leave...no questions asked...

my job is basically sendin' home anybody that shows signs of sickness...coughin'...sneezin'...etc...

already co-workers...are startin' to call in sick...to be honest...some are probably fakin'...and some probably jus have a plain ol' cold...but that just means the remainder of us...will have to do extra work....and possibly work double shifts....

my job wants the workspace wiped down at the beginning and end of every shift...

we had like 10 bottles of disinfectant spray four days ago...now we're down to one....

bright-side....it's been rainin' a lot out here...so that's keepin' people indoors....

Im in Mexico now. I got a text from my supervisor saying that when I get back I will be in a 14 day quarantine. I have no problem with that but they haven't specific if I have to burn my own pto for the time.

Friday before I left work there was a meeting and they said no restrictions to where I was traveling. I get an email today from HR at 430 saying that Mexico and Canada are now in the list for the job. I can see a fight on my hands coming up about the time because that memo was mot sent out until after I traveled.

Had a meeting at my job about COVID-19. Company CEO type sent out the standard "monitoring the situation" type E-mail. Company was already in the process of having folks work remotely, but that's a slow process. And they're mainly letting the customer service folks go home first. I doubt they're gonna send all of us home and/or shut down entirely. As long as the damn building is standing, they keep the doors open.

I'm diabetic, so i'm definitely keeping my distance and taking precautions even more than normal. I'm a homebody anyway, so it doesn't affect me a whole lot at the moment.

This whole thing is going to bring out the best and worst of people.

Agree and it is a terrifying thought :smh:

Weird part for me is I'm a homebody so staying in doesn't bother me. I work from home 3 days a week and hardly leave the house those 3 days. And now we're working from home for the next two weeks.

Hopefully the stores restock in the next few days so I can go shopping for a few items, but I coupon so as for household goods I'm straight.

I worry about my parents but so far they're good.

I work at Hartsfield Jackson on the east point, college park side. Today, I was told that one of my co workers who works on the international side, concourse F departure, tested positive for it. I was sent home, given 2 weeks off. I'm going to see my dr. in the am.

I teach part time fitness classes at my gym and that just got cancelled. CLOSED FOR A MONTH.
No bootcamp. No yoga. No 1:1 trainings.

They're sanitizing the gym for a month :(
Man, the gym is one of the worst places to be for something that can be transmitted simply by breathing. Especially by the cardio machines with folks huffing and puffing.

Took our rocket scientists in office until today to mandate gyms close. :smh: German studies on transmission via breathing came out last fucking week.
