She looked like she couldve definitely been their daughter. They did a good job with casting in this one.
True Detective has always been 8 episodes by design, I think the writer/creator prefers it since he handles a lot of the writing on his own.

Season 3 was this best season. The chemistry between Ali and Stephen Dorff adds another layer of depth to the show creating a partnership that felt authentic. The comedic timing Dorff and those remarks about Ali's prison rape threats had me rolling. It successfully distances itself from the garbage of Season 2. The return to a character-driven narrative and a compelling mystery elevates True Detective to its former glory.
