Dave is just saying give respect where its due...no beef here. He dropped kicked down some doors and a little recognition of the fact from those that benefited from it would be cool. Especially mofos who benefited directly (same studio, same format, etc.)

Yeah, Dave is one of the best comedians of all time, imo. But I can't role with him on this one. Key & Peele didn't feature musical acts like he did. The "talk to a live audience and then show some taped sketches" format was around long before Dave did it. Didn't Carol Burnett do that shit in the 70s? lol

He isn't going at them, in fact what he said isn't about them at all.

He's simply saying that it bothers him that he fought so hard with Comedy Central to do the type of show he wanted to (which Key and Peele ending up doing) only to watch other people benefit from it without the resistance or struggles he had to endure.

I got that impression as well. As he says he does watch their show.

I find them humorous, but I've never really laughed at their material. Not that it's bad, I liked get out, and Friends from college was entertaining.(although lacking in diversity) I feel Dave, but like others have said... Not in public. If it really needed to be said at all.
