I'm still waiting to find out if the SUV tires were slashed after the FIRST incident where he bumped into the asshole that brake-checked him. Because he did stop right there initially. I don't see how anyone can defend these cats.

And now there's undercover cops ridin with em too huh? And them mufuckas ain't do shit. Shit is crazy.

I'm right there with you. The only corroboration I've seen is the statement from the police commissioner on that. We still know a lot more than we did at the start.

Some bikers had no plates or had fake/stolen plates.

The break check was the beginning point of the timeline. You can argue that the driver honking his horn was the beginning point, but honking is legal, break checking and causing an accident is not.

At least 1 biker made a move on the passenger side door where the wife was when the car finally came to a halt in traffic.

The biker who got run over and hospitalized did not have a license since it had been revoked years ago.

There was at least 1 undercover cop riding with the bikers.

Yeah they had the old Italian dude who stood between the bikers and Lien on the ground on CNN the other night. He said they were pullin the wife out the car while she was holdin the baby and that's when he stepped in.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The NYPD has made another arrest in its investigation into the road rage incident between a group of motorcyclists and the driver of an SUV that started on the Henry Hudson Parkway last weekend.

The latest suspect is 29-year-old Craig Wright, who was arrested at his Brooklyn home Monday. Wright has been charged with gang assault, assault and unlawful imprisonment. Wright is the the fourth motorcyclist charged in connection with the road rage incident.

Police are searching for three more people and have released photos of two additional men they say were involved in the attack on Alexian Lien last Sunday.

Lien and his wife were pulled out of their Range Rover and Lien was held to the ground and beaten.

The man accused of bashing in the driver's side window during the attack was arraigned Sunday.

Reginald Chance, 37, is charged with gang assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal mischief. He made an obscene gesture towards photographers in court.

Chance will be back in court on Thursday, though his attorney says he did not take part in the attack on Lien.

"It's obvious he overreacted, but the does permit someone who is a victim of an accident to at least attempt to get the identification of the motorist," attorney Gregory Watts said. "He did not assault anyone. He did not kick anyone or punch anyone, or did he authorize anyone to do any of those things."

Robert Sims, 35, was also charged over the weekend.

Investigators say he was the man who tried to open the driver's side door of the SUV.

Detectives are also working to determine if some of their own were there at the time and didn't stop the attack.

There are reports at least two off-duty NYPD officers were riding with the group. One was an undercover narcotics cops who sources say didn't get involved for fear of blowing his cover.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he is awaiting the results of the investigation into the involvement of the off-duty officers.

"The question is: should they have identified themselves or whatever? I don't know what the facts are and I can't prejudge it," said Bloomberg. "I think we all, no matter what your job is, we have an obligation to help one another. And if you see someone getting beaten up, let's go jump in and stop the fight. Having said that, if someone has a gun and a fight, most people would walk or run away very quickly."

The NYPD has confirmed that the undercover narcotics officer has been placed on "modified" duty, meaning desk duty, after reporting to superiors last Wednesday that he was there for the incident. Prosecutors are investigating his involvement.

Meanwhile, the biker accused of causing the accident that led to the chase says he's being treated unfairly.

Christopher Cruz, 28, is the motorcyclist who swerved in front of the SUV, stopping short before he was struck by it.

Prosecutors charged him with unlawful imprisonment and reckless driving, but he insists he's not a criminal.

"I don't think I feel responsible for what happened," he said. "I do feel bad for the family that got hurt."

The Good Samaritan who stepped in to stop the attack was honored for his bravery Sunday.

Sergio Consuegra joined New York State Ssenator Adriano Eespaillat in Washington Heights.

Espaillat praised his courage, demonstrated in a photo that shows Consuegra standing with his arms extended over the Lien.

Even with everything he did, Consuegra says that he wishes he could have done more.

No, but I grew up surrounded on 3 sides by gangs. You could walk by those cats all day, everyday with no problems but soon as there are around 8 of them, then the cowardly fucks are ready for an 8 on 1 battle, and not one of those cats amounted to shit. I hate that gang mentality with a passion. They aren't the government, they aren't paying your bills. So how the fuck can they rule you just because they are a bunch of cowardly fucks with bikes???

I ride a lot but I will never understand the appeal of that dumb shit.

A biker believed to have delivered one of the first punches in the brutal beating of a father by a motorcycle mob in upper Manhattan was arrested Monday.

As Craig Wright of Brooklyn was charged with gang assault in the frenzied Sept. 29 attack on Alexian Lien, the Daily News learned from police sources that investigators believe that NYPD Detective Samir Gonsalves, 34, took part in the rogue ride, but not the beatdown, while off-duty.

And it was reported Monday that another cop at the scene of the shocking attack, an undercover detective, is suspected of pounding on the window of Lien’s Range Rover in the moments before he was dragged from the driver’s seat and beaten by six rabid bikers. The Daily News could not immediately confirm that report.

Wright, 29, was seen on new video obtained by police punching Lien in the face through the shattered window of his luxe ride, a law enforcement source told The News. Lien, the 33-year-old director of an e-commerce firm, was beaten in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter on his first wedding anniversary.

The gotcha video, taken with an iPad by a witness, also shows Wright kicking Lien twice after he was pulled from his vehicle following a 4-mile chase that started on the Henry Hudson Parkway and ended on W. 178th St. in Washington Heights, the source said. The video has not been made public.

Wright — who has prior arrests for reckless driving in Virginia in 2005, driving without a license in New York in 2011, and failing to appear in court in January on a traffic violation — was pinched Monday at his home in Canarsie. He was also booked for assault and unlawful imprisonment. He was due to be arraigned Tuesday.

The license plate on the motorcycle he was driving was visible in the video, enabling cops to trace the bike to Wright’s uncle, who told investigators he loaned it to his nephew on the day of the attack. Wright is the fourth man collared in the shocking incident, which made national headlines.

The NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau continued Monday its investigation of two detectives who took part in the unsanctioned motorcycle ride, which drew hundreds of bikers.

Reggie Chance allegedly used his helmet to bash in the windows of Alexian Lien's SUV.

Gonsalves was identified after cops traced his bike’s license plate to him, sources told The News. He did not come forward to notify his bosses of his presence during the ride, the source said. He was already on modified duty after being arrested in August for allegedly fighting with cops who were sent to break up an argument he had with his girlfriend, who is a Queens prosecutor, sources told The News.

Cops are still hunting for three of the six bikers believed to have pummeled Lien. Also charged in the assault were Robert Sims, 35, of Brooklyn, and Reggie Chance, 37. Chance, who has a history of drug, robbery and gun arrests, was seen in a video of the attack smashing the driver’s side window of Lien’s SUV, authorities said. Detectives say they’ve uncovered other footage showing bikers pulling Lien from his car and beating him.

Christopher Cruz, 28, of Passaic, N.J., was previously arrested for sparking the confrontation on the Henry Hudson Parkway by swerving in front of Lien’s Range Rover and slamming on his brakes.

Lien struck Cruz’s rear tire, provoking other bikers to surround the SUV and bang on it with their helmets.

A terrified Lien hit the gas, running over biker Edwin Mieses Jr., 32, of Lawrence, Mass.

Mieses’ spine was fractured and both of his legs were broken. Doctors fear

Lien’s wife, Rosalyn Ng, issued a statement last week saying the bikers put her family in a “life-threatening situation.”

Biker cop joined in SUV beatdown, hit vehicle

bikergangbash.jpg

Alexian Lien after he was attacked by motorcyclists on Sept., 28, 2013

An off-duty undercover cop who had claimed he took no active role as fellow bikers pulled a Manhattan dad from his SUV and beat him to a pulp was actually pounding the vehicle with his fists at the height of the bloody road-rage attack, sources told The Post.

The cop, a seven-year veteran, had told investigators he didn’t help the injured man because he rode up to the scene as the beating was nearly over, sources said.

But video footage clearly shows otherwise, disgusted sources said Monday — and Internal Affairs Bureau higher-ups want to nail the officer.

Still, probers believe their hands are tied, sources said, because authorities have dropped charges against another biker, Allen Edwards, 43, of Queens, who allegedly punched the rear window of Alexian Lien’s Range Rover before Lien was pummeled in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter.

At the time, the chief of the Manhattan district attorney’s Trials Division, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, defended the move, saying, “Prematurely charging individuals with low-level crimes does not further the goals of the investigation and could weaken the cases we expect to bring against the perpetrators of serious crimes.”

But the cop will likely face internal charges. He didn’t tell his bosses he was with the bikers — much less at the crime scene — until more than three days after the Sept. 29 attack.

The unidentified cop has already been placed on modified duty and turned in his gun and badge.

“I think we all, no matter what your job is, have an obligation to help one another,’’ Mayor Bloomberg said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe’’ on Monday, in response to questioning about the officer’s actions. “And if you see somebody getting beaten up, you know, let’s go jump in and stop the fight.”

The explosive development came as a fourth biker was arrested in Lien’s beating.

Craig Wright, 29, was nabbed at his Canarsie home on Monday. Wright was busted after cops allegedly saw him in witness video that has not yet been made public.

In the clip, Wright is seen throwing punches through the shattered driver’s-side window of the 33-year-old victim’s Range Rover, according to a law-enforcement source. He is also seen allegedly kicking Lien outside the SUV.

He was charged with gang-assault and assault Monday night.

The biker was tracked down after cops traced his license plate, sources said. The bike is actually registered to his uncle, who he borrowed it from, sources said.

Cops are searching for at least two more suspects.

Meanwhile, Christopher Cruz, 28, who allegedly started the chain of events by slowing down his bike to let his pals ahead — leaving Lien to bump his car into him — said in an interview aired Monday that he felt no responsibility.

“I was looking over my shoulder to see where my friends were,” he told ABC News. “I wanted them to pull in front so I could follow them. I didn’t brake, but when I looked over my shoulder, my hand came off the throttle a little, but the driver didn’t slow down at all and bumped me.”

New video released in clash between bikers, SUV on West Side
Updated at 12:57 PM today

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Eyewitness News has obtained new video in the motorcyle road rage incident on the West Side Highway.

For the first time, we see the SUV driver, Alexian Lien, on the ground, being kicked while laying in the street.

CLICK HERE to see the full video on YouTube.

Meantime, a fourth suspect has been arraigned on multiple charges related to the incident, while details continue to emerge about the actions of the undercover narcotics officer who was riding with the group of bikers.

Sources tell Eyewitness News that the officer is seen on video hitting the rear window once with his fist. That window already had a circular hole in it from something perhaps going through it. He is then seen kicking the passenger door, getting on his bike and riding away.

It is unclear if internal charges will be filed, but the officer has reportedly turned in his badge and gun during the investigation.

Sources confirm that another officer, Detective Samir Gonsalves, was with the group but did not witness the assault. A criminal complaint details an incident in August in which Gonsalves was arrested during a domestic altercation after he allegedly grabbed another cop.

On Tuesday, 29-year-old Craig Wright became the fourth motorcyclist arraigned in connection with this incident. He pleaded not guilty to charges of assault, gang assault and unlawful imprisonment and was ordered held on $100,000 cash bail/$150,000 bond.

Prosecutors alleged that Wright punched Lien through the window of the SUV and then kicked him while he was on the ground.

He is due back in court on October 11.

Police reportedly tracked Wright down by the license plate on the motorcycle, which belonged to his uncle.

Authorities continue to search for at least two additional suspects

NEW YORK -- NEW YORK (AP) — A motorcyclist was charged Wednesday with reckless driving after prosecutors said he touched off a tense encounter with the driver of an SUV and a throng of other bikers that ended with blood and broken bones on a Manhattan street.

Christopher Cruz, 28, of Passaic, N.J., declined to comment as he was released on $1,500 bail, facing misdemeanor charges that also include unlawful imprisonment. His attorney, H. Benjamin Perez, said his client denied all the allegations.

"He will come back to fight this case and clear his name," he said.

Cruz is the only person charged criminally so far in the Sunday encounter that was caught on a helmet-mounted camera worn by another biker and was posted online anonymously.

The Manhattan district attorney's office decided not immediately to prosecute a second person arrested, Allen Edwards, 42, who surrendered to police on Tuesday. But prosecutors said the investigation continues, and they served notice that they intend to take the case against Cruz to a grand jury — a sign that more serious charges are likely.

Karen Friedman-Agnifilo, the prosecutor overseeing the DA's investigation, said authorities were trying to build the strongest cases possible.

"Prematurely charging individuals with low-level crimes does not further the goals of the investigation, and could weaken the cases we expect to bring against the perpetrators of serious crimes," she said.

Prosecutors and police said Cruz was participating in a motorcycle rally speeding along Manhattan's West Side Highway. Cruz cut in front of a black Range Rover and, still staring at its driver, slowed down so much that the rear tire of his motorcycle bumped the front of the SUV, they said. He got off and approached the SUV, prosecutors said.

Video captured the moment as about two dozen riders slowed down, swarming the SUV and blocking its path. Some dismounted and approached the vehicle. Police said some of the bikers then began damaging the Range Rover.

That lying piece of shit cop is arrested! I will give source soon.http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local/new_york&id=9279068

Undercover cop and civilian in motorcycle assault case arrested
NEW YORK (WABC) -- An undercover NYPD officer and another civilian biker involved in the motorcycle assault case have been arrested.

32-year-old Clint Caldwell of Brooklyn has been arrested for gang assault, assault, and criminal mischief.

Caldwell is allegedly one of the motorcyclists involved in the assault on Lien once the SUV stopped in Washington Heights.

Caldwell was not caught on the six-minute video that was posted on YouTube. Caldwell allegedly helped pull Lien out of the SUV and then assaulted him.

The undercover officer is 32-year old Detective Wojciech Braszczok, a 10-year veteran of the NYPD. He is charged with riot and criminal mischief.

Braszczok spent much of his police career in narcotics but recently transferred to another division.

Internal Affairs had been reviewing his load of former narcotics cases as charges against him were being contemplated.

Prosecutors planned to arrange his surrender over the next 48 hours but Internal Affairs investigators believed they had enough evidence to make the arrest and told his attorney to bring him in. Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.

Braszczok was already under scrutiny for not immediately reporting the assault to Internal Affairs and not being immediately entirely forthcoming when he did. But investigators say the determining factor in moving forward with charges was newly acquired video that showed he vandalized the victim's SUV by breaking the rear hatchback window, an act that contradicted his prior accounts in which he claimed he drove away without taking any action to avoid blowing his cover.

Investigators believe that while Braszczok was one of three officers on the ride in the general area of the attack, he was the closest to the beating and the only one to have a clear view of what was happening. They believe another detective was further away from the attack and a third, an officer, was "in the way back" of the motorcycle pack.

The other two officers conduct is still being probed, but investigators said they are not expected to face criminal charges.

Sources say a second detective is also believed to have been among the riders, but not present for the attack. That detective is already on modified duty after being arrested in August during a domestic dispute at an intersection in Queens. The criminal complaint says the cop went after a responding officer: "He shoved him in his chest several times in a forceful manner." The charges will be dismissed if the detective stays out of trouble for six months.

"We are looking at all aspects of this investigation," Kelly said.

Another video that's emerged in the case shows SUV driver Alexian Lien on the ground in Washington Heights, surrounded by a mob. CLICK HERE to see the full video on YouTube.

In addition, police released the photos of 4 more suspects wanted for questioning in the assault. VIEW THOSE PHOTOS

A grand jury hearing is evidence against in the assault cases already filed. That will include the victim making a statement for prosecutors.

Meantime, a fourth suspect has been arraigned on multiple charges related to the incident.

Sources say police tracked down Wright by the license plate on the motorcycle, which belonged to his uncle.
