VIDEO: Calif. mom punches skater in the face after he knocks over her son
The boy was apparently celebrating his birthday in the Hayward, Calif., park when he got knocked over and his mom decided to pick a fight.
BAM! The irate mom decks the skater who crashed into her son at Cannery Park in Hayward, Calif.
A California mom punches a skater in the face after he accidentally slams into her son in a YouTube video gone viral.
The video, which has attracted nearly 1 million hits, starts with the skate boarder doing tricks in Cannery Park in Hayward.
As the skater speeds up, he runs straight into the child, who starts bawling.
‘What the f--k?’ the skater says as he’s left reeling from the unexpected confrontation.
"You all right, Dude?" The skater asks as the boy continues to wail.
A nearby woman picks up the boy and comforts him, but just moments later the boy's mother marches over.
Furious, she asks: "Did you run into my son?! On his birthday?!"
Without waiting for an answer, the angry mom starts shoving the skater and yelling, "You didn't see him?!"
The skater slams into the boy …
The skater backs away, dazed. And that's when she punches him in the face.
"What the, f--k?" the skater says just as the 35-second video ends.
… And the both of them go tumbling to the ground.
The clip that was posted last week has sparked a debate about whether the woman should have lashed out.
Thousands have weighed in under the video in the comments section.
Many say the mom completely overreacted and blamed her for being so far away as her kid played. Others go further, saying she should be charged for assault.
‘You didn’t see him?!’ the mom asks as she pushes the skater over and over again.
"Let your kid run loose while you're God-knows-where and then blame others for your inattention," writes Badmonkeytheater. "Charge that b---h with assault then make her clean the skate park for a year."
Others say the skater should have been more observant.
'Are you all right, Dude?' The skater asks the little guy as he sobs uncontrollably.
"Y'all bugging," says NoisemakerTV. "She had every right … because some of the boards try taking over the sidewalks as well, not just the parks …"

He showed no empathy, and seemed like he was high or something. Thats on top of his negligence which hurt the womans child. She was defending her kid who could not fend for himself. Hopefully skaters who watch this video will keep an eye out for kids, so they don't get punched in the face by a protective mom

When I was a little kid I was at a park once and collided with a teenager on a bike. I cried, the teen apologized to my mom and then she carried me off.
She didn't assault him over an accident.

You are slightly retarded aren't you? What right she have to push him in first place? This park is for skaters and for baseball! She should take her stupid kid elswhere if she cannot keep eye on him! Aren't you related to her by the way? I bet you are or you are as stupid and full of complexes as she is. Look properly on video! If my son get hit by someone I first check on him and then deal with other things. She didnt even give him as much as look!!!
