Cam'ron Explains where things went wrong with Jim Jones on Instagram Live + Max B, Chrissy, Jay Z

The dip was a movement and cultural influence, I remember hella niggas rockin pink, niggas in Chicago, niggas in Alabama

But back to the cam thing, apparently it's fault on both sides, which is always the case, and niggas going off the homeboy system instead of a contract, and I believe Jim put in work and the money started coming in and niggas had no checks and balances, so you look up and you like damn niggas eating steak err night and I'm err two to three weeks. Jim got in his feelings and didn't man up and bring it to cam or it was brought up and it was a study long study wrong event and was too late, niggas need to end this shit

But what does that have to do with my statement on movements tho?

And we can find several ways to connect ppl to give them credit for stuff if we want to
I could tie dipset to someone else which in turn means every movement you attributed to them being a part of would defer to the movement that inspired theirs....
u asked about impact and influence and i explained how they did impact situations from than and now..not only that but how they impacted two other movements u posted out of your top 10..once again when people talk about movements they talking about from the underground to the eventual majors.. why i posted tyler perry as an example of what would be consider a version of a movement juss replace a solo person with a group.. big money/corporate helps are usually excluded out of those scenarios cause some people consider something from nothing stories better or as they say the comeup... u can't compare a person who sold waters in the street to eventually use that money to buy real estate to eventually becoming a owner of lots of property to a donald trump who got several million from his father to start off.. u see that's why some people would have a problem with some of ur examples

i don't know why anyone would want to disqualify a movement based on the fact that it turned out to be major. lol
Def Jam was a movement. Simmons didn't just get def jam he had to go underground and build it up and it became a part of life and then he parlayed it into what it is today. a movement can't be penalized because they achieved their goals.
A movement
Did they bring in a culture into music?
Did they have their own colloquials?
Did they inspire a change?
Did they control the game for a period of time?
Were they in the "Streets" to begin with and then either flame out at a point or kept it going reaching new heights?

That's a movement.

Wu-Tang is a movement
Def Jam was a movement that became bigger than life and signed OTHER movements
Roc was a movement
Dungeon Family was a movement
Luke had a movement
Death Row was a movement
Aftermath was a movement
G-Unit was a movement
No Limit was a movement
Cash Money is a movement
The Movement of NWA just came out with a 4 star movie.
Bad Boy was a movement

Now which one of these should be removed so that Dipset can get in?
Movement we can just limit it to impact- Far reaching impact that started in 1 place and extended everywhere.

BTW.........

Ask MC Eiht.........LMBAO!

the early days of the movement..when sde kept getting pushed back so these nigs were coming out with extra cheap vids for their singles..i use to call it "dipset vids" when u had cheap generic videos

this track got way to much love in the club for no reason lol

ever heard the term "fake it to you make it".. he also already explained people in diff departments of the label was robbing him blind

the 7 day theory and MOB mixtapes tho were insane tho...had some classic drops w/ stacks max b 40 cal mel matrix...

Once upon a time Dipset was the wave. The thing I respected about them most is they didnt compromise their sound to sell records. They just kept doing what they did and eventually got the attention of the masses. They had it all, their own slang, their own sound, their own look, the female fans, etc....But over time, Dipset imploded.
Eventually every rapper is gonna have to choose to be an industry dude or an "in the streets dude"...Its impossible to serve 2 masters for an extended period of time.,

They started getting a bad reputation for shows due to fighting, leading to less club promoters/owners booking them.

The office politics between Cam, Dame, and Jay also helped lead to things going sour.

On a sidenote, two of the most underrated joints.

Life moves in cycles they had they run like every other great crew in hip hop. Then they fell off it ain't that deep nobody stays hot the whole time. Lotta shit I don't like I still give respect to. Like them or not the music speaks for it self.
