chuck's wife getting into that pool was stupid.

somebody like axe, you know he got high def pics and video of that shit, even if it's just for leverage for future use.

as smart as she is, i thought she would have been smarter than that.

it's something about Axe's smug faced wife i just don't like. :hmm:

another excellent episode!

Good episode this past Sunday

yeah

Man Axe was HEATED when he found out dude drove his kids around while he was drunk. My man jumped outta the pool and straight to his car to drive over and kick son's ass...not even stopping to put on a pair of shoes. And shorty who filmed the punch look like she was trying to get nominated for best cinematography with all the zooming in to catch the emotions in Axes face.

So Spiros is a rapist...that makes sense why Chuck hates him so much, also helps in a character development perspective to provide some context for why Chuck keeps bullying this goofy non-threatening dude.

Chuck sonned Spiros into another decade by bringing out his accuser.

I was waiting for Chuck's wife to find something in his e-mail about the deal being blown, since he gave her his password. I was just expecting the other shoe to drop, since Chuck is leaving out how he offered Axe a no win deal (and rightfully so, since Axe and Wags was acting like 1.9 billion was no big deal).

I think that dude that is informing on Axe Capital is going to kill himself. He's such a nobody within the company who has finally gotten somewhere with Axe, but now finds himself caught out there. I don't think he has the mental and emotional strength to see his part of the deal through to the end. If he kills himself, does something else stupid and revealing, or at the very least blows his cover, Chuck is back on the case full time.

i was thinking something similar to this also.
yeah i loved it when Chuck said "You better fall the fuck back"!!!!
:furious:

I did not see the "informant" being a double agent. I would like to know how Axe set that up, since the FBI thinks they caught dude making illegal trades.

On another note, think of what it must be like to get a job offer where all you have to do is say yes and you're making $185,000 a week or basically 9 mill a year.... Sweet life.

funny they're mad he made money off 9/11 he wasn't the only one.
Bobby is always 3 steps ahead of them pompous agents lol

My wife and I were discussing the issue with Bobby making money off 9/11. He did exactly what any good investor should have done. The people that are in Bobby's circles wouldn't and shouldn't be shocked or angry with what Bobby did. However, the reveal of his actions on 9/11 destroys him in the eyes of the everyday citizen. I remember Chuck saying in the first or second episode that Bobby was untouchable because the normal person loved him. He did everything right, including taking care of 9/11 families. Now he looks like another typical greedy wall street type how lied and cheated to get ahead, even if he really didn't do anything illegal and didn't lie or cheat.

All he has to do is say what he said in that room. I didn't know it was terror, all i knew is that in order for the families of my partners and the entire firm to go on after this difficult time was to make sure i did the responsible thing. i didn't let terror stop me from working. i didn't let them take my freedom. i stood strong in our darkest hour to make sure we had a legacy to stand on to show them that we were strong and look at us now?

Reality check: The Twin Towers fell before 9:30 AM on September 11th. By the time the U.S. markets opened, everyone knew there had been some kind of coordinated attack on the U.S., though no one knew who was responsible. So Axe claiming that his trading that morning wasn't bad because he "didn't know it was terrorism" is bullshit.

The Towers fell at 9:59am and 10:28am. The planes hit at 8:46am and 9:03am. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought he said he shorted airline stock in the European sector, after the first plane hit. If that's correct, most people I know were thinking accident and not terrorism. If that's the case, what did he do wrong? If he shorted the stocks after the second plane hits and or after the buildings come down and definitely when it is obvious terrorism, then he is operating on low ethics. However, being unethical doesn't necessarily mean doing anything illegal. It definitely makes one a scum bag, but maybe a very rich scum bag.

Also, in regards to the timing of his trades, I'm not well versed on investing, but I would assume that if he's shorting stocks in European sector, his trades are working in markets that are already open for the day, ahead of U.S. markets.

I listened to the offer twice.

Just the tip of the iceberg to being a "made" CaC in America.

wrong - in 3 ways:
premarket trading for equities
markets in London & Zurich
and derivatives are 24 hours

you are correct.
i overlooked one point, he shorted stocks in the European not US market, and Europe normally closes around noon NY time, so he had plenty of time. The US market didn't open for 6 days, and most airline stocks in the US fell between 25-40% in a single day. So, the corresponding stocks traded abroad would also fall similarly if they hadn't already in the preceding 6 days.

truly shorting the sector for a fund or IB would mean equities and derivatives...

London closed early not sure what Asian markets did - but globally airline vacation travel etc... all fell prior to the US reopening, continuing after the re-open. The global bond market was chaos...
On Sept 12th we were at a DR site in NJ- trading OTC Forex and Derivatives... and our other asset classes were trying to figure out who was alive at Cantor, Lehman Nomura DKB Amex, NYMEx etc...
