Billions | Showtime Series l discussion thread

At first I thought they were building up Axe to be an anti hero...
the kind of guy you would root for even though he isnt kosher
and chuck was supposed to be the bad guy
but its more complicated than that
I dont think Axe is evil. He is cold and sociopathic
and i think this is why it might not survive, people like to root for a good guy/anti hero
Nah, that's exactly why it WILL survive. JR Ewing was a piece of shit, but he made Dallas. Thing is, Billions is they don't have a Bobby Ewing. I'm not so sure they need one like Dallas did, though.

dude totally fucked up his marriage with his jealousy
Chuck is unambiguously the villain...
I realized tonight Chuck has no soul no core...
He is the typical white guy I've worked with for years...
he wants to destroy anyone that holds a mirror to him... or that can see he is really empty
If that nigga didn't have the job - he has no power, he is a pussy (just like his pop reminded him of, with the childhood story)
Like bitch ass cops that can't be shit without a badge and gun - but want abuse people under color of law. They won't handle or diffuse a confrontation because they expect and demand respect and fear or they want to make an example of you.
But you let LIFE really hit that motherfucker with a curve or real set back just one time, he will be chewing on a 9mm looking for a high place to jump etc, or go "postal" to commit suicide by cop...

Axe really is his polar opposite... much greater strength.
This show should end in suicide or murder

Chuck that's what happens. Don't trust your wife end up on that rage rampage hunting her down see something take it out of context and end up letting the jealousy get the best of you. Now you're gonna use it to make a case and probably ruin your marriage in the process cause axe only told her.

that's what happens.

the question is why was she even writing shit down anyway?

is she writing a book?

you cant have personal medical info on your home email like that

She's the office psych? She writes all her notes on her iPad? For each of her clients? Don't understand your question.

Now onto another question I had. Who do you all think hired that guy to follow chuck? I think it was either Axe wife or his own wife.

e.

her notes should not have been easily accessible
and it looked like she was writing on a word document

weak security... but even with proper security if they always share passwords - even with a system following best practices - the info would still be easily accessed

High profile/celebrity there are some things...hell a lot of things you should stay away from
Chuck should have known better but jealousy and desire outweighs logic most of the time

Latest episode was good. It didn't have much drama, but it was good to get inside Axe's head and get his real thoughts on Donnie's death and how he used that to his advantage.

It must be stressful as hell to work for someone like Axe. Dude that was warning him of a massive impending loss if they didn't change their position was technically fired, and then to be told by Axe not to listen to him between 9:30am and 4:00pm.

I knew Chuck would get photographed eventually. Fortunately for him, it doesn't appear that the photographer got pics of Chuck in the S&M club - only pics of him walking into some nondescript building.

Fuck Rhoades! He's as dirty as they come.

Axe is a ruthless muthafucka too. But he's always thinking 3 steps ahead except this last episode. Him and Wags bout shit a brick when they saw they took a hit!

And Wendy is starting to get to me too. I wonder what side she's really leaning towards.

So my earlier question, who do you think had him followed?

So you think it was Axe. I am leaning towards his wife actually, meaning the doc or maybe Axe's wife. Cause Axe wife would be more concerned with him then Axe. Axe don't give a fook. His wife is more brutal then he is. But like I said I am leaning to his own wife cause I think the wife wants to see if he was actually working on Axe. Think that will be the climatic part of the ending of the season, the trust lost. But we will see...

in Ep 1 Axe put him on the getting in Chucks shit - then in the ep when Chuck's pops put short squeeze on Axe - the Metallica ep - Axe told his shadow guy to dig deeper and keep looking into Chuck at the same time when he told him to leak the squeeze info to the SEC

True, so we will see how it ends on the finale Sunday

is it going to be a 2 hour episode?

I really dont think they can tie everything up in 1 hour

i feel this story has at least 2 more episodes in it

So I guess Axe did have Chuck followed... Thought it was his own wife.

And thought the last episode would of been more epic, more jaw dropping for the finale.

weak writing
final convo Ax should have been EVIL

When Chuck tried to call him Jesse James, Axe should have corrected him with JP Morgan and in one sentence remind him of what Moran was and the House of Morgan is today...

When Chuck said he had nothing to lose Axe should have corrected him... without threatening, Axe should have given examples of what Chuxk is still risking:
his father in jail, their money, his career, both reputations and their money

What a great season finale!!

This episode really displayed the power of money and how it can change and tempt people

how people can hide behind it.

Chuck and Wendy going at it

Axe not being able to let things play out with Wendy because he thought she was being smug, revealing he

had a file on her

That beautiful wire transfer of 5 million that took about 60 seconds

Piles upon piles of hard money and gold bars

Lonnie trying to enjoy his burger undisturbed

Chuck's listening devices trick

Chuck and Axe going at it spitting so many truths at each other

and come on who didnt want a slice of that pizza?!?

i like the sparring between the actors chuck and bobby in ep 12
