The Everything Data Center Related Thread!

The just recently purposed a Data Center in Raleigh NC, Near a low income area but also adjacent to some new home and townhouses. The people sounded the alarm and over 100 people asked to speak at the city council meeting and before the meeting they pulled the proposal

"We don't want crime or data centers in our neighborhoods."

We’ve got exclusive new polling on local data center development at @heatmap_news.

Over the past year, we’ve asked Americans whether they would support or oppose a data center being built near where they live.

We haven’t changed the wording. When we first polled the question a year ago, Americans were split 43-42 on support/oppose.

When we asked again in Feb, a bare majority opposed data centers.

Today, 75% of Americans say they would oppose a data center being built near where they live, and 61% said they would “strongly oppose” such a proposal.

It’s a swift, massive shift in US public opinion on a scale that I wouldn’t have once thought possible.

He really stirred up a hornet's nest by accusing 2 Americans of being Chinese political pawns......

They're tracking the money and naming names

I know this is a serious topic, and that this post is from a few months ago, but no one seems to have mentioned the nipples?

I know a lot of us OG’s are older now, but in the old days that would’ve been called out immediately. What’s happened to this board?

Now, back to the topic at hand……

Hahahaha

This dude wants the "We Are The World"

Of AI development.......

Not never gonna happen......

We (the US), in our need to be first, and not necessarily the best, started this A.I. arms race that may very well trigger pur destruction.
