Props for this alex. Im gonna grab this

The low/no carb diet worked for me. I lost 10 pounds in 5 days. This thread is just in time. I was reading a thread last week about cutting carbs out your diet and decided to try it.

Stopped eating potatoes, corn, rice, bread pasta. No sodas, fruit juice or drinks of any kind. Only drank water and unsweetened green tea (you get used to it and are happy for something besides water after 2 days)

I started last tuesday Aug 31st and by Thursday i had dropped two pounds.

I'm only eating fish and chicken with green veggies and salad. I snack on almonds. Not really hitting the protien drinks much. I do one a day at 46 grams a serving. It is not a muscle building protien but kind of a hybrid meal replacement muscle building. It does not have a lot of calories in it and it has like 2 grams of carbs.

I eat fruit, like a peach or plum. Thats it

breakfest i have eggs and turkey sausage. Lunch and dinner i have meat and veggies only.

Low carbs worked for me. Im going to knock of 10 more pounds and then start to build lean muscle.

I was SHOCKED to see the weight leave so fast. My face is thinner and the single roll on the sides of my stomach are almost gone.

Im a small guy...I was at 180 and my target weight was 165. I'm at 170 like i said so i going to drop to 160 and see how that looks. Might even go down to 150 since I plan on putting on muscle and bring my weight up to 175

Low carb diet works fast and quickly and once you see the first pound or two drip in 1-2 days you will be motivated to keep going

Remember. The protein keeps your full. I have to force myself to eat.

Im not taking any supplement yet although I might check out CLA.

I HAVE NOT EXERCISED NOT ONCE IN THE PAST WEEK. ALL OF THIS IS FROM EATING RIGHT.

Once i get to 165-160 I will start doing push ups and aroebic stuff. But most no carb diets tell you NOT to exercise unless you know how many calories your burning and replace them Your not taking that much in so you need all of them just to do daily stuff

I hope this helps somebody

Is this shit any good for eating right/dieting/working out or does it have too much sugar?

Major props! I read that after a while of doing a low carb diet, some people became discouraged and quit because they either hit an plateau or even gained weight gain...Do not worry because the overall goal is to burn body fat not lose weight so as long your contining what you do now, you will see results.

Vitamin Shoppe is the best place for lowest prices.

GNC is stupidly overpriced.

yes some veggies do have carbs in them but they dont have the sugar content and they have way more vitamins and minerals

sugar=fat

eating a ton of fruit would make you fat

eating a ton of veggies will make you healthy

Alex I hope your facts are straight. I'm no where near an expert or anything, but I read that even though fruits are sugar. Its a good type of sugar. I would hate for someone to give up something that actually helps them.

It has as many carbs and sugars as an 8 oz Pepsi but an abundance of nutrients which Pepsi lacks. As long as your not drinking it all day everyday, your fine.

Pepsi 8oz
Calories 100
Total Carbs 28
Sugars 28
Protein 0

Waste of money.

You know why? 28 grams of sugar in that without any real gains made with the vitamins added. Just get a regular vitamin pill and go with water.

Your better off eating piece of fruit like an apple that will fill you up with fiber and give you the slow sugar you need before a workout or throughout the day.

Stay away from natural juice drinks since they tend to have loaded amounts of sugar.

them niggas dont know shit about the human body

listen, grab a bottle or two of tonalin cla

its healthy, dont trip

and eat nothing but meat and veggies for 3 weeks...as much as you want

their is your protein and all your vitamins...no need to drink those fucking shakes or starve

then the following week, eat meat and veggies and some carbs on the weekends

youll lose 20 pounds guaranteed....a healthy 20 pounds at that

and if you work out, youll be even better

youll get the 40 pounds off in no time

then you can thank me later but thats not needed

after a month, you can go back to eating as you please since youve trained your metabolism to burn fats

you have to keep the workouts going though

Good info in this post, although I do fuck wit fruit though cause that's my means of not fuckin wit cake or cookies...Using a lot of what's posted above has paid major dividends in my weight loss goals. That along with moderate exercise will have you lookin right in a few months not to mention a year which should be anybody's goal as a lifestyle change.

Consistency is key, once you get this rolling for 2-3 months you can start to eat some of the same foods you ate before but just not as much, as a matter of fact you will not want to eat much because you will feel guilty and pissed at the same time because you will want to achieve greater results...

The transformation is incredible if you just remain consistent and motivated...The first two weeks will be a bitch but fight thru it for the greater good and do not break... I would say good luck, but all you really need is discipline...:yes::yes:

bro all i remember is the no fruits thing.. and dudes where heated that u made that suggestion.. i cant remember the rest :smh:

i know a lifter that did the fruits only thing w/protein supplements for almost five years and dude was cut like crazy. i don't subscribe to that myself but i've seen how it works for some people.

if you talk to any nutritionist worth their salt, they'll tell you to eat a small, well balanced meal every 3 to 4 hours. drink tons of water. and feel free to eat as much leafy greens as you can hold.

but what's your work out schedule like, on the real?

I dont know about all the no/low carb thing....was never a fan of it.
Bad carbs..of course u eliminate; but the good but sometimes high GI carbs...:smh:
I guess everyone's body is different.

When i had to lose a good 30 lbs, all i did was mix my proteins, carbs w/fiber (like brown rice) and good fats all together in every meal, hence creating a slower insulin release/slower digestion. After that...i just stayed active.

I used to eat high carb foods like sweet potatoes i.e. the best vegetable in the world IMO every damn day.

Im an Ovo-vegetarian. So the only animal product I eat is organic brown eggs. Thats the bulk of my protein..but not the only.

I tried the low carb diet before...but i actually lost more weight and put on more muscle with the moderate carbs diet than the low/no carb diet.

but like i said..everyone's body is different. Dont go popping any ol pill just so you can get a six pack (sorry was neva a fan of weight loss/gain supps). Have patience and find out what works best for YOUR BODY.

emphasis on HAVE PATIENCE.

But what do you need the 28 grams of sugar for unless its right before a major workout session or in the morning. If your trying to lose weight, then its better to stay away from sugar and drink some black coffee or tea to get the energy for the workout or start of the day.

Personally, if you want to lose weight - its not a good idea to consume much sugar, even if it is natural. Sugar is sugar.

I think the low/no carb phenomenon is good for sudden results. I know it worked for me personally and after a while when I got the weight off and wanted muscle, I added moderate complex (good carbs) to my diet instead of low/no carbs.

Its almost impossible to be NO carbs because everything had carbs in it - like even non-fat milk. You need carbs but just don't take more than 40% of it in your daily diet with the rest being 40-50% protein and good fat (i.e. omega 3 fatty acids).

Living healthy is the shit.

Great information.

I also hit a plateau and stopped working out a few weeks ago. I will get some of this CLA and try again along with some of the tips here. Ha I stress some, a few are kinda funny.

I just finally decided to change my vitamins and I'll get this CLA too. Anyone know of a calc to determine how many mg/g you should take daily? When I was working out, I was taking about 6 grams of fish oil a day and getting good results.

I guess I could just google it.

that health o meter scale is known for being pure shit.
weight lost ain't shit unless you know what you're actually losing.
most likely in your case you're losing water weight and if you're not keeping your daily protein intake up then you're going to lose your muscle before you're going to lose fat.

if you want to really see where you're at then get an omron or tanita scale that displays lbm percentages and chuck that walgreens shit o meter in the garbage.

also drink a cup of distilled water before you go to sleep. It'll help you get rid of the bad shit in your body, helping you lose weight faster:yes:

Too much protein can be a bad thing. I had a checkup recently and the doctor said I had traces of protein in my urine. Told me to lay off the protein shakes or risk fuggin up my kidneys. I guess too much of ANYTHING can be bad, even water

Yeah they told me that to. To many protein shakes can give you diabetes real talk fam.

perhaps your water intake was shit or your body has a dysfunctional way of utilizing water to dilute such substances like digestible proteins where it puts a strain on your kidneys.

i drink at least a gallon of water daily.
when I was cutting for the summer (psmf), my daily protein intake (from shakes alone) was 250+ grams given the fact that my lbm percentage is 205lbs.
i get physicals twice a year and just recently had one myself.
all of my levels were green all across the board well within the normal ranges.

i do recall some years ago one time getting a physical where my dr told me to lay off the protein because some of my levels were increasing but that was due to the fact that i was not drinking a sufficient amount of water.
i ignored his warning and simply increased my water intake and now all is fine.
water is key.

That sounds like what I just started. I am at 258 at 5'8"... came down from 305. I also started the hundred pushups/two hundred situps/two hundred squats routine and get 2 miles done daily. I'll see where I am when the end of the month rolls by.

sugar turns into fat....period...

why do you think they tell you not to drink more than 1 glass of 100% fruit juice?
