Rory has looked sensational in his last 2 bouts. Other than the 1st round against Maia, he has DOMINATED his opponents.
I hope he gets a rematch vs Lawler and Woodley gives Condit a rematch. The winner is the true WW contender(even though Condit is the man.)
Rory MacDonald went from friendly Canadian fighter to 'that strange, introverted guy that wears nerdy clothes' in the course of just a year. He didn't turn heel -- more like he turned to 'Patrick Bateman' the lead character of American Psycho. If you've never seen the movie then I truly question the choices you've made in your life. Besides, you'll never know the true significance of a new Robert Palmer cassette tape. We can't force you to watch American Psycho, but for those that have, French illustrator Déconnecté has made the world's first American Psycho themed comic specifically for Rory MacDonald. Check out all nineteen panels below.
The kid is very technical, and it's like he's putting a Jedi mind trick on his adversaries that make them choke, but it's nothing the fans are screaming to see again!!
His personality is so blend that people are comparing him to the American Psycho
I wouldn't qualify his performance as sensational... when is the last time he finished a fight? Where are his highlight reels??

Yeah - it's strange with Rory. Cats like myself wanna support the guy being a fellow westcoast Canadian and shit ... but yo ... he's about as interesting as a peanut butter sandwich. The monotone delivery ... the half- to one-sentence answers in interviews & whatnot (listened to a few of his spots on podcasts in recent weeks, and the shit was dull, as expected). The Canadian Psycho persona and "not wanting to be a superstar". Can't stand all the MMA journalists in Canada saying he's our "next GSP" over the years. Sure ... he's a major talent as we've seen over the past 4+ years ... but shit ... GSP was one of the P4P best the sport will ever see. A cat who changed the game with his dominance while he was at his best prior to the knee problems & the minor Serra KO hiccup. Rory's still young in the game ... but we need to see him stopping people like BJ Penn & T' Woodley when he's got their number from opening bell to the end of the 15 mins. It's one thing to stop people like Mike Guymon, Che Mills, and Mike Pyle ... but they're NOT on the same level as these upper-echelon guys. * Not just toying with them (Penn / Woodley). Finish them off. Stop playing with your food.
I agree but I give him way more credit than GSP when it comes to finishes. GSP pre-Serra was a monster--going all out. After he gained revenge via stoppage, he was happy to bring guys down and if the stoppage happened it happened. Rory brutalizes his opponents.
Case in point. Look at GSP's face after his "win" over Condit....and this was AFTER Condit spent most of his time on his back!!
Rory, I feel will beat Hendricks--a tough guy himself with KO power, though Condit is the man to beat. But first I want to see Condit-Woodley 2.
That card was a total disaster, it had 100k ppv buys... there's not a whole lot people who want to see the flyweights and the Canadian pyscho
