***Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread***

Lambard has been getting away with it for years.
he's got no skills.
He's just luck that he plays for a very efficient league team.
He feeds off Drogba's knock backs and strikes the ball well and straight...that's it!!!

Lampard was awful four years ago..........can plummet even more

Shaun gave away the ball damn near every time

No skills.....step over, dummy etc

Listen to the Talksport phone in

People not giving Heskey his props. Not condemning Rooney for his lack of game intelligence.

Dropping off to collect the balls that he needs to receive himself

There's no Nani or Ronaldo to help you. So move into better positions and try to dribble or something. This is the world cup......not fucking portsmouth

Green needs to be dropped. How many goals did West Ham concede last season?

Joe Cole must start the next game

Three games today and only one was any good.

I am out

England were just awful today. They are killing them on Radio 5 live at the moment.

England are more balanced in midfield when Gareth Barry is playing with Gerrard instead of Lampard. They can't play together.

Are you stupid? do you even watch Lampard play for Chelsea, how many midfilders in the world score as much as him? check the opta stats do you know how consistent he has been? by you saying he has 'no skills', I can tell your knowledge of football is very limited

They can play together.................if you play Rooney as the lone striker and Gerrard behind him

uh...they're personal differences between those two men...

this guy understands the game. if they played like that as far as rooney goes it would be a different game.

i said it before capello smokes crack for someone that make 10 million euros a year he needs his ass kicked.

you cant put lampard(scored 22 goals this season) and gerard as defensive midfielders because that way you dont benefit from their skills. they are both attacking players.you have to put barry or carick as a defensive midfielder and put lampard as central midfielder and put gerard behind rooney. this is how they are playing at their own clubs and this way you can use their skills a 100%.

the coach put heskey next to rooney didnt he see that heskey was blocking rooney. he fucked rooney up. he needs to put rooney as striker and heskey behind him. at least that way rooney can do his thing.

Its so simple but for some reason England coaches don't want to do it. As for the strikers they are stuck on the 'big man, lil man' format :smh:

^ I think Capelo will go for experience so James, but that team with Lennon coming on the last 30 minutes.. is there best team. If they cant win with that then :puke:

1) France
2) Spain
3) Mexico (black)

Adidas make the best shirts
for this world cup yes. nike fell off this world cup. and their jerseys lack creativity. the only nike jersey i brought was england(umbro is owned by nike)
English goalkeepers are useless, why did capello choose green over david james

david james aint a super goalie either. ill take tim howard over both of them. tim howard was the player of the match.

:lol::lol::lol:

david face was killing me.

I am a massive Chelsea supporter, (I fly into lhr for most champions league knock out matches from nyc to sit in the shed @ SB) but I will be the first to say that Lampard and Terry are highly overrated. Every goal lampard scores is deflected and terry lacks pace. That said, England and the US are still the "favourites" to progress so everything is cool..

:smh::smh::smh:

capello smoking dope

he shouldnt let gerard and lamperd play defensive midfield
he should let carick play defensive midfield and let lamperd and gerard play attacking midfield

thank you. this world cup the managers been making weird choices. england would be more dangerous with gerrard and lampard attacking.

btw i think gerrard played forward this year with torres with liver pool.

im a chelsea fan, true blue through and through. lampard is an effective player when hes attacking.

lampard is an attacking player. btw in football rebounding missed shots off a goalie is key and essential. a good forward or midfielder would know to follow up on missed shots for the rebound. even ronaldo (brazilian) said this in a video. i can tell you never played this game before, and im not talking about on the playstation either.:smh::smh:

best post on the england game so far.:yes::yes:

btw did anybody catch the game here in NYC. i tried to go to a bar in the union square area (wont say the name) but it was packed so i head up to 23rd st. and 3 ave . joint wasnt bad. almost tore the roof off the joint:lol:. was rocking my 2010 home lampard shirt, ninjas was heated. lol at the chants and stuff they was saying to me and the english fans. "oil spill", "bp" and "redcoats":lol::lol:

I agree with the kits, nike fell off

But they won with the cleats.... The Vapors and the Victorys:dance::dance::dance:

Can you then explain how this would work in a 4-4-2 formation?

England's midfield is more balanced when Barry plays alongside Gerrard.

it would not be a 4-4-2.

Green

Johnson - Terry - King - Cole

Lampard - Barry

Lennon - Gerrard - Cole

Rooney

Lampard is at his best plays when he breaks from deep, he would not hold but stay deeper, to allow Gerrard to push forward in the forward role. Rooney has proved he can play as the lone striker.

:lol::lol:

The one player on England's side who is allowed to touch the ball with this hands.........let's it slip

Yo Limey, got a question for you. A few years back I was on a Euro tour, and happen to catch a friendly between England and some other side, I can't remember. Anyway, I'm in my hotel room watching the match, and 1 of the back 4 players kick the ball to the GK, and he decided to kick ball to midfield while looking elsewhere.:smh: He kicks at the ball, but his foot gets underneath it, puts a backspin on it, and it goes into his own goal. Is this the same guy? This happened around 2006.

I think it's him.Look back a page or 2 and someone posted that. Then there was the one where he drop the ball in a crowd of opposing players and it was stolen from him then kicked into the open net
