I dont know if im the only person who feels this way. But Donovan is trash. Especially defensively. He's slow and he just seems a step behind out there. Im not a true soccer head, so maybe hes better than I believe. But he just annoys me.
good looking out but I was looking for something that broke the field down to better understand what positions can go where and what causes an offsides. I guess i just have to keep watching and learning.

I don't think he's trash, but he's HIGHLY overrated. He's decent on offense, but on defense, no!

England were a total disappointment
The radio phone ins are going nuts
Capello is now encountering the same problems as Eriksson etc
England have some superb individual players; but collectively for over 40 years they have underperformed.
The hypocritical and schizophrenic media over estimates the ability of the England unit and at the same time condemns them for not winning tournaments.
As much as it pains me to say it, England just are n't that good and have not been for five decades
How ironic that everyone was worried about Rooney being booked and it was Stevie G who got booked
Well done USA because you shut down Rooney and never lost the belief that you could get something from the game or even win it

I listen to talksport daily so I can only imagine Callymore's phone being lit up.
The Rob Green incident is a painful one to swallow. I sympathize because I am a goalkeeper myself, but it benefitted my team so it's a wash. England will still qualify 1st outta the group, but he must be killing himself in the changing room.
As for us, like you said, we were spot on in keeping Rooney in check. I've never seen him that ineffective in a match before. Gooch and Demerit did well together and they turned it up a notch after the first half.
Overall I thought 1-1 was a decent result. I didn't see England press as hard as I though they would, and we didn't clam into a shell either.
Capello may be questioned for his changes tho. Why'd he change Ledly King for Carra??

I am a massive Chelsea supporter, (I fly into lhr for most champions league knock out matches from nyc to sit in the shed @ SB) but I will be the first to say that Lampard and Terry are highly overrated. Every goal lampard scores is deflected and terry lacks pace. That said, England and the US are still the "favourites" to progress so everything is cool..
The stand out indvidual players in England are Rooney, Ashley Cole and Stevie G. This is not just based on my view but also from other European media. They would walk into most international sides
England sucked and media are going to slaughter them tomorrow

Imma tell u a decent result Chelsea EPL/FA champs fucker....Kidding... Decent game it was even tho.. I was impressed. Lampard looked lethargic.

As I've said before, they will miss Rio big time...Carra is slow as molasses, JT is past it, and I suspect King's knees are again a problem. And why the F... did he bring Milner?
Does not look good for England.
For me, Glenn Johnson was there best player by miles, dangerous going forward, and is finally learning how to come back.
He improved, but still has a long way to go.
SWP was awful.....just rubbish.

As much as it pains me to say it, Heskey wasn't half bad, still can't finish worth a damn, but worked hard and set-up the opener (nevertheless Darren Bent should have gone instead)
yeah "Shawnie" was straight garbage, I don't care if he plays on the right, this is the World F'ing cup...Ashley Young would have been a much better choice.

Shaun Wright Phillips is the least skilled winger that I have seen, not able to dribble or outwit a defender.
Gave the ball away loads of times too

If Lampard spent more time training instead of giving media interviews, maybe he would have more energy for the bloody game
He was shite
