A strike against Coogler for being friends with this guy however..
Friends? This is an image 2015, taking a picture with some random person from 2015 doesn't make you friends.

That "random person" also happens to be friends with James Gunn and Rian Johnson(the former helped pick the spot out where his wife's grave is)Friends? This is an image 2015, taking a picture with some random person from 2015 doesn't make you friends.
This is a tricky movie to market to a general audience. Selling it as a juke joint flick wasn't going to cut it. Also, just showing Michael B and the black cast fighting some generic white Jim crow racist wasn't going to sell the movie to a general audience either. They still need to shout on the trailer team because they f**ked the movie experience with way too many spoilers.
Just got back. It was really good. Half the references I got because of reading here. Going to see it again but I'm going to do some research. While i haven't seen all the movies this year, I will say this needs to be in the running.Just booked my tickets for Imax for this evening. They have it Dolby and Imax. May go see it in Dolby as well because I'm "quietly" an audiophile![]()
Good shout out to The Thing (82 film)One thing i will say..I've eaten whole cloves of garlic before..that would have just been one take for me...lol
How is he friends with Rylan Coogler? You still haven't haven't answered that question. & again, that photograph was taken in 2015.That "random person" also happens to be friends with James Gunn and Rian Johnson(the former helped pick the spot out where his wife's grave is)

Film Writer Devin Faraci Says He Was ‘Suicidal’ After Being Accused of Sexual Assault
Faraci stepped down as editor in chief of the website Birth.Movies.Death in October 2016 after being accused of sexual assault.www.indiewire.com
Nope all of that is false..i grew up with them folks..if his mom knew he was stealing she would have beat all our ass..The store owner knew. What you don't understand is that his mother had an arrangement with the store proprietor. If I had to take a guess, I would say the friend is annoyingly religious.
As children, we really believe we are excellent thieves. The adults know what we're up to. What we don't calculate is that adults have the ability to reason.
I really hate *******. ADOS and FBA you bitches can go to hell

Something that you may want to ask him, since he (claims to have) interviewed Ryan for the scoop on the first BP movie..How is he friends with Rylan Coogler? You still haven't haven't answered that question. & again, that photograph was taken in 2015.
You still haven't provided evidence that him and Ryan Coogler are friends, though. This is your claim, and it's baseless right now. All you have produced is a photograph from 2015 with him and Ryan Coogler. That's all you have right now.Something that you may want to ask him, since he (claims to have) interviewed Ryan for the scoop on the first BP movie..
See now John my guy...fo real
but that whiteness cant help itself
the ONE scene he aint like?
Is one of the greatest scene in modern cinema. they hate to see us shine and remind them that we the original.
@DC_Dude @OutlawR.O.C.
Don't discount word of mouth either. I went to see it off of yall..lolMy gripe is SPOILING so much of it in the very first trailer. We didn't have to know WHO turned, there was ENOUGH there to do a 2 minute trailer without revealing all that. You could have EASILY mad it look like the twins have to save the town from vampires. and that's it. With sexy women cool music and awesome visuals.
But I MUST concede your right in a sense because if after seeing ALL that tin the trailer the audience STILL came out in roves?
its either Coogler has reached Nolan Spielberg Cameron status ALREADY
OR
the trailer was dope.
I think its the former based on all the screenings I attended.
Shit is mad sold out tonight from what I saw this morning too. Folks must have been out of town or didn’t want to watch “sinners” Easter weekend lmaoI tried to go see it tonight, and it was sold out here in Fayetteville. The traffic killed the online purchasing option, so I had to actually GO to the theater (like an 80s caveman) and purchase tickets for a matinee next day.

I just watched it and I 100% agree with rob..this isn't just a "horror" movie. Blade had a lot of blood in it with vampires as well but people don't call that a horror film.and this white man doubling DOWN on that bullsh*t take.

I seen someone sayAlso the dusk till dawn comparisons are lazy as f**k
What are the numbers/views for the trailers compared with say the aspect ratio/viewing options rundown Coog put out?My gripe is SPOILING so much of it in the very first trailer. Hmm...I wonder if that discount applies to IMAX? I want to see it again, but this time in its intended format.Tomorrow is discount day at a lot of theaters for the cheapskates
I posted on social media defending Michael B Jordan and his acting, which is underrated
**
Saying that Michael B Jordan isn't that talented is a BIG stretch. I'm a bit of a cinephile, so I've seen average to middling & even bad actors with no presence, and a lack of an "actor's eye" (delivering lines without conviction). That's definitely not him
Your last sentence (The talent is in him he just has to bring it out.)
**
There is something that can be said about the actor's eye, that focus. That seeing shit that ain't there and having your mind and I trained on seeing that that ain't there and having us believe what's not there is really there because of your look.
It's that dialed in look. I love that. I love seeing that
Like Jeremy mentioned, its really more of a Tales From The Crypt Demon Knight scenerio, where the danger is outside trying to get in. In FDTD, the Vampires were in their own nest. Also the dusk till dawn comparisons are lazy as f**k
