Movie News: Ryan Coogler Says Black Panther 2 Production Will Stay in Georgia, explains why

I was never attacking you in the first place. My original response to you was designed to make you laugh.

If it offended you in any way I have no problems deleting it.

I’m not offended fam. I was just hoping that you could see the difference in my post compared to others. In order to continue the franchise they have to cast a new Black Panther. I would be pissed if it’s his sister.
To keep it from being too lame or too corny, Killmonger would be perfect.

Well they can recast or they can replace.

My problem with Killmonger becoming BP is that you then lose Killmonger from an already thin villains gallery.

But I completely agree that it would be absurd to have Shuri replace him.

Yeah, but if he died, then he’s already a lose.
Saving him from death to be Black Panther would be dope.

Oh no I 100% agree with you on that hands down no questions asked.

Black Panther 2 Villain Revealed And It’s Actually A Marvel Superhero
Hayden Mears

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is one of the most anticipated films on Marvel’s slate of upcoming features. Fueling part of the hype is curiosity about how director Ryan Coogler will deal with Chadwick Boseman’s death narratively, but an equally notable part of this is fans’ desire to see more of Wakanda, its people, and the richness it brings to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, if a recent rumor turns out to be true, we may have even more key information about the Black Panther 2 villain.

According to Geekosity, Marvel has decided on the Black Panther 2 villain, and it’s actually someone who has traditionally been considered a hero. Kinda. He is honestly more of an antihero. The villain is Prince Namor, and according to Geekosity’s founder and editor, Mikey Sutton, the character’s inclusion in the hotly anticipated sequel has been a long time coming. That is all that Sutton was able to reveal. There is currently no one attached to the role, but if this rumor does end up being true, then it is likely that we will hear confirmation one way or the other sooner rather than later.

If you consider Prince Namor more hero than villain, then yes, this may be shocking. But his role as the potential Black Panther 2 villain will likely come as little surprise to those who are familiar with the character’s history. Originally introduced during the Golden Age of Comics, Namor is actually one of the first Marvel superheroes and is considered the first known comic book antihero. The character reappeared in the Silver Age, initially returning as an adversary of the Fantastic Four. He has flip-flopped between heroism and villainy for most of his existence, so maybe Kevin Feige and his creative team will introduce him as a bad guy before making him a slightly more sympathetic character. The Marvel Cinematic Universe once had a pretty obvious villain problem, but now, as its storytelling matures, the big-screen translation of the Marvel Universe has gotten incredibly good at injecting nuance into its villains. Namor presents a perfect opportunity for Marvel Studios to add in a fan-favorite character and officially make underwritten Marvel villains a thing of the past. Fingers crossed.

The report that Namor the Sub-Mariner is the Black Panther 2 villain directly contradicts the rumors that Michael B. Jordan would be returning as Killmonger. I mean, he still could return, and now that I think about it, if he did show up, it would probably be to defend Wakanda against Namor and his forces. So technically, this new rumor is not wrong. At least not yet. It’s not right either, but Namor stepping in as a big bad would make sense. And as a longtime fan of Namor, Black Panther, and the Fantastic Four, I am extremely excited to see what the filmmakers end up doing with such a fun Marvel staple.

You can catch Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever when it debuts in theaters on July 8, 2022.

My interest in this movie is waning more and more. 1st no T'Challa, then not a true EVIL villain, but a known asshole? Meh.

so you're saying Killmonger knew about Namor and Atlantis all along, but no one else did? and he knew exactly where T'CHalla was gonna dump him? in the famous words of Ms. Melody - "Nah Man i aint buying it":hmm:
I'm saying killmonger went to MIT which means he's smart as hell. He planned for everything including the possibility he might lose

When you are evaluating your enemy you also take into account his potential enemies. It's possible that the vibranium mining is affecting the ocean in some way, which pisses off the Atlanteans

Killmonger has been sitting on this anger toward Black Panther for 20 years. That's a lot of time to plan, especially for someone who's brilliant

One of my favorite lines from any movie I've ever watched was from the movie A-Team in 2010

"How did you...?"

" give me a minute, I'm good. I've got an hour, I'm great. You give me six months I'm unbeatable"

Now, knowing exactly where T'Challa was going to bury him... that's really the only part of the plot that requires movie Magic.

The atlanteans run the ocean , so it's not outside the realm of possibility that...

And the Miss Melody quote was pretty dope. It shows you're old enough to remember that shit like I am. self-destruction you headed for self-destruction

Nah, not even close.

We all just thinking we cant wait to see our favorite comic book characters on screen.

Thats all.

Read the room dude. This isnt a socio-political thread.

I see your point but I wish movies were about entertainment, but many times they spew propaganda from the government and is used to manipulate our minds. I am frequently attacked in these movies especially BlackPanther, it is a different experience for me. Many countries carefully filter out movies because of this.

In South America and Mexico, where they deny their African bloodlines, this sort of tactic might be necessary to force them to face reality and exit their delusional state of mind. You will see this with many bi racials that start to look white and deny their great great great grandparent was black or African.

They also might deny their European ancestry that came about during slavery and try to immigrate to Africa.

This will happen in the U.S. eventually and using these tactics might be necessary to force a wake up call.
