listen i mis judged a side door step coming out this chics crib and sprain my ankle back 2 months ago,,and im still slightly feeling it rite this very moment...took forever to heal,, now i can fully walk the inside of a mall but still cant wait to get to the damm car and sit down.. :smh:

I somewhat disagree with what appears to be a consensus around 40+ being too old.
I believe anyone who's very active with flexibility, mobility, cardio, and strength training should generally be able to prevent certain types of injuries and recover from most.

I saw my life flash before my eyes as I swear I saw my feet in the air as I fell flat on my back. It was like I was hit with a taser or hit with the tombstone by the undertaker. The baby was with me that's it. She waddles over. She brings me her sippy cup and blanket. And pats my head.

I immediately say my future flash before my eyes.

She got pony rides for a month.

I got compressed vertebrae nerve damage that I didn't know about till years later.

Happy f*cking new year.

I told my wife; if I fall, I'm planning on going to the hospital. I’m not going any higher than the counter top at this point in my life.
 
I'm in my 40s & try my best not to take any Ls of that magnitude cuz I know they'll be a wrap. It's bad enough I already have a bad knee that I had reconstructive surgery on when I was a teen that now feels arthritic and might be getting close to being bone on bone.

A few years ago it hit me that my body ain't as young & able to handle things like it used to when I randomly sneezed & pulled a gatdamn rib muscle. Took me days to recover & that shit hurt like hell.
