Long story short, leaving a brunch and looked behind me to talk to the person with me. Missed the curb and sprained my ankle. Podiatrist said it would be about a year to heal. That was 2021. My ankle still hurts time to time, can't run anymore, and I'm super careful walking down any steps and always hold the handrails

Why you fell is EXTREMELY important.
Slipped on something and falling is way different than your extremities gave out and you fell.
One happens to everyone and needs no explanation. The other could be an underlying medical issue that should be investigated.
Especially as we all age.

Worse part, no one around to help cause it was the middle of the day during the week. I honestly thought I was a goner. Thought I was paralyzed so was afraid to try move. After that, I was resigned to the fact that there are just some things I should no longer attempt.

i just got a hairline fracture in my wrist. not serious enough for a cast, but i do have a brace.

I feel for ya bro. I try not to do shit dangerous nowadays. Last summer I stepped of the side of the porch instead of taking the steps, rolled my ankle and ended up laid out rolling around hollerin. couple weeks later got in a tussle with my cousin who is my same age. Next day we calling each other from the hospital, cracked ribs, broke thumb, sheared hip socket. all kinds of shit. And we weren't even fighting hard!
