Secrets you know because of your occupation

this is not so much a secret as it is advise to all the

young buck kniggas....

if you happen to land a job with an incentive savings program

especially one with a company match..

which is when the company you work for match the amount you save, doubling your savings at no extra cost to you...

if lucky a company may match up to ten percent rare as hell these days unless you land a job with a forward thinking tech type of company..

either way take advantage of the incentive savings program immediately you would be surprised how fast your money can grow in three to five years..

youd also be surprised how fast ten years go by..

and I seen folks bag anywhere from fifty geez to damn near a milly plus, investing in companies savings and stock programs..in a ten year time span.

dont sleep you twenty year old wet behind the ears lookin ass kniggas youd be surprised how fast money grows when you are disciplined and makes smart moves with it..

and you cant go wrong in your companys savings and stock plans..

if offered... hop on it fam!!!

That's true for picking it up, but tongs can't place a pineapple slice perfectly on the rim of your glass. Also depends on the bar or bartender, they move so fast that nobody question them at times. Unless the drink is made bad.
I went to one of those theaters.where you can get dinner and mixed drinks and ordered a white zinfandel while waiting alone for the movie to start. For some reason, which I never do, I held the glass up to the light and saw a perfect red bottom lip stain on the glass before I drank. I showed it to the bartender and he had to look at three glasses before he found one without lip prints on it!!!

That’s why most bars use straws, to reduce lipstick prints on glasses and it makes it easier to wash (or in most cases rinse).

What are the darkest secrets of elite US universities?

Originally Answered: What are the darkest secrets of elite US universities such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or Stanford?

I write this from the perspective of a 45 year university professor and Dean. One dark secret, maybe or maybe not the darkest, is that nobody knows if the quality of instruction at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or Stanford is good, bad, or indifferent. No body measures quality of education. They DO measure the results—how well the graduates do.

So, if you are one of these universities and you have more money stashed away in endowments than God. Ok, that’s an exaggeration. More money stashed away than the GDP of some countries. That’s more like it. If you have all that money you can, and you do, buy the best prepared students available. You give them full scholarships if that’s what is necessary. You take in the best and you graduate the best.

Did they learn anything while at Harvard or Stanford? Who knows and who cares. Obviously if you take in the best you graduate the best. AND, these graduates now belong to an elitist exclusive club that nearly guarantees “success”. Previous graduates of your university now in management positions will hire you. Best yet, these universities can then use this as “proof” that they are the best.

The secret: These universities are not selling education, they are selling membership in an exclusive club.

If you're ever in a Costco and buying stuff check out Costso's own brand Kirkland. Working in advertising I found out that to get your product in the store you have to sell to Costco at a discount some of your products so they can put their name on it. Kirkland coffee is Starbucks and Maxwell House. Kirkland baby formula is Enfamil and Similac depending on the year....they alternate. This also applies to liquor bought in Costco. The best way to tell is to see what name brand they're selling in the same category and that will probably be who's making the Kirkland brand.

Best Buy also does the same thing. They have a 2 year rotating deal with electronics manufacturers to make the internals for their Insignia brand of TVs.

A good many off-brand or generic products are made by the major manufacturers and producers. All they do is substitute ingredients to lower grade/quality or less costly ingredients.
I worked at a local pizza company for a year or so who also made all of Aldi's pizzas, Kirkland who so many people seem to be crazy about, HEB, Kroger, Albertson's, Giant, and a lot of other grocery chains plus their premium branded pizzas like Kroger Select. Kraft had a plant here that does the same for other grocers.

I use to work in a coal fired power plant. Everything we do is either regulated by the state, or the federal government. There are limits on how much pollution we could emit into the atmosphere and the river (monitored by regulatory devices), but there are ways around it as well, and we use to take advantage at every opportunity. When you limit the amount of pollution, you also limit the amount of electricity you generate and can earn revenue. The ash that left our stacks were highly corrosive, and could leave permanent damage on metal and concrete, so just imagine what it can do to our bodies.

Here's one for the pie cookers. When your looking for pie shells don't waste your money looking for your favorite name brand. There's one company in Southeast Georgia that produces pie shells for every company. So don't waste time and money looking for Betty Crocker because Kroger or Brand X its all the same.

Update: This also applies to orange juice. There's just one company that produces OJ. The manufacturers names we're all familiar with all have their own flavor packs and yes they all are made from concentrate.

If you think about it makes perfect sense, no way a juice should taste the same in January as it taste in July.

I have my hand in the restaurant and athletic retail industry

as well as Aircraft Transportation.

quickly.

1. don’t eat restaurant salads.

2. These shoe and athletic stores have penny sales where everything that is ATLEAST a year to 18 month old costs a penny.

from socks to shoes to bags to various items.
Reason y’all never hear about it is because the employee buys it all for a dollar when we get our updated sales list from corporate.

I think it’s bullshit. U can lace a whole homeless man or woman for a dollar with 100’s of items. What do the companies do? They have us ship what wasn’t bought back to the warehouse and it sits. All that merch for a penny.

3. Never ever check in a bag if u not staying for over a week. Yo bag sometimes will not make the trip and u will be pissed. The smart play is to bring all that shit with you and they will send it down the “jet bridge” bag slide so the crew can put it directly on the plane.

I know everything.

I need proof on this.
A coworker of mine wife died last year.
He was paid for the policy he had on her.
Read the language in the contract. If there is language in your group life insurance policy with your employer that says anything about "Active payroll" in my experience the only you're beneficiaries will be getting paid if you drop dead at your desk.

Based off of what you posted it sounds like your coworker had an individual policy where his wife was the insured.

So if I die my wife and kids ain’t getting my voluntary life insurance from my job?
Most group life plans that are employer sponsored have language in the contract which stipulates that the insured must be on active payroll for the benefit to be activated. People get sick, they go to the hospital, and for whatever reason they never make it out of the hospital. During this time they are on some type of leave, medical leave, sick leave, etc. Their job status is no longer that of an "Active Employee". If you die while at work sometimes your employer still will not pay. See the UPS employee that got killed in Florida by the cops during that robbery for example. UPS put out a Gofundme for that employee.
