Durant signs with Warriors

Curry, Thompson and Green spend a lot of time on the bench. Having Durant means more time on the bench for all of them. His acquisition basically eliminates triple teaming Curry. No one plays him straight up. That's why dudes are so salty.
Exactly..no triple or double teams for that matter..and that creates more efficient basketball..all 3 will be able to do whatever they choose and the lane will be wide open..easy basketball which is why it was a no brainer choice for KD

It's funny that you keep harping on this, yet none of the players on GS cares..from the quotes that have been coming out, none of that matters to any of them..the whole dam team was present in the meeting with KD and they all displayed that..and clearly KD doesn't care either..so why do you care? Or for that matter anyone else if the team doesn't? :hmm:
It remains to be seen

Been through it down here.
It's not so much the players
It's the outside noise that seeps in

They haven't been through it before
This is the wedding and the honeymoon phase

That shit would make sense if they didn't have a chip..
It would be less of a joke but it still wouldnt make sense man... He went to a 73 win team bro.... One he was just up on 3-1 before getting his ass kicked. A team with a guy everyone told us was the best player in the world and MVP...

Keep in mind this the sam KD who told us he was "tired of being #2" and would he was the best.

This shit is crazy man..

He went to a better team and organization than he was on.. What's the issue?

9yrs of almost being there can break a mofo... Might as well be a career loser for all that shit.. Ain't nobody trying to go out like Barkley.. You see how bitter that nigga is now right?

Hey man, i just told you the issue. If you're cool with it then thats ok. Im not.

You should be cool with it because now it forces other teams to come play every night when they play these niggas.. Nobody gonna want to get ran off the court.. Games will be competitive..

Look at when Bron Wade and Bosh first got together in 2011... Every team in the league was going at them

You are funny as hell

So you are saying Jessie Williams will be the team spokesman?

There are two things that'll get the brothas to put on their playa hatin' hats. The first is seeing a a couple of bad ass light-skinned women with light-skinned men. Muthafuckas would rather die than see that shit grow. (LOL) Second would be seeing light-skinned dudes win NBA championships. The brothas see no color up until the shit they love the most is in jeopardy.

I just like great basketball

That's what we saw this year

All time great performances

Hope to see more

You are funny though. Good to see some humor in here. It's been getting vicious

What about the David West grab....sheeeit.
I commented on that yesterday

I really don't understand how this dude bounces around. Been following his play since New Orleans. Then he went to Indiana. Then i think the Spurs ? Don't feel like looking it up. Anyway, his mid range in the old school truth. He is tough minded. Got the right amount of thug. Seems like a great teammate. My kind of player.

Any team that gets him is doing very well.

I wish he was here on the Heat.

Question for the board.

Would this team be as successful with Mark Jackson as coach?

That's a good question. Mark is ol' school Eastern Conference ball. His success was based on talent, his failure in my opinion was his lack of recognition (what he really had) and inflexibility (what he wanted).

I'm going to say no, they don't win last year.

The West acquisition is huge. As you said mid-range game will keep you honest. Like the low post. East Coast mentality on the West Coast.

Durant never needed a lot of shots to avg 25+

Only time ISO came into play for him was in situational basketball and cruch time
you right he dont, he's an efficient scorer but he still gonna struggle. i mean if you call averaging 22 - 25 a game struggling. lol. but thats gonna be huge when you're used to leading the league in scoring. kd's my favorite player and okc my team so shit's soaking in now.i like the warriors as a team but its gonna be hard to cheer for them fuckers .....then they trying to get ray. my favorite supersonic and my favorite thunder on the warriors......shit make my stomach turn

Honestly,

This pick up opened my eyes.

Durant is one thing. I don't think it's going to work the way people think. We will see.

West has all purpose game. If he was coming off the bench in this last finals it would have been a different story.

Q: So Durant calls you just as he's making the decision this summer. What was that conversation like?

-NASH: I think Kevin was ready to make a move for himself as a person. I sensed that in him.

OK, so there were two things going on here. One, there's a basketball move that had at least two sides-what a great move for him and everybody can see that or people who despise him for making this move.

The reality is that he made a decision within the rules as a basketball player, to the team that he chose, and it was fair.

The other side of it-he's at a stage of his life where he wanted to challenge himself as a man and put himself in an environment where he felt there was room for a different kind of growth in a way, maybe an uncomfortable different step.

I think from the outside, people look at it and go, he went to the best team available.

But that's the same thing LeBron did as a free agent the last two times, he went to Miami and Cleveland to join two max players. When he was doing that, there didn't happen to be team with three all-stars or maybe he would've gone to that one.

Look, it would've been easier for him, no one would've been upset if he went back to OKC; but I think he has a chance here to grow as a man and put himself in a new environment where he'd be challenged in different ways.

For me, I thought it'd be a great move for him basketball-wise. I thought that he would fit in great.

And one thing I told him, if he doesn't make a move like this, there's nothing stopping a free agent next year from (joining the Warriors in this spot). (If he doesn't sign with the Warriors), he loses an opportunity where he's in complete control and has his own choice and he took advantage of it.

What I really started to realize as I talked through the process with him, it seemed like he wanted to take the next step as a man.

It was less about winning a championship than being challenged in new ways and gain as much as he could from that new experience.

* Ok so here is the compelete interview...

you know what I don;t like most?

The whole"man" thing...

like KD wasn't a MAN before...

almost like this is an extension of the whole single parent Black woman bashing thing...

KD want a man he needed to be a man if he was a man...

what the f*ck is all THAT about?

Folks not getting on KD for joining a team with two max players, they are on him for going to the team who beat his team and jumping on a team that had the best record ever. Now for that LeBron comparison to be accurate it would be him signing on the Lakers with Kobe, after they beat his team coming back from three games back, or Curry signing with the Cavs after losing to them in the finals.

Durant_GF_Tall2.png

Tall, uncompetitive, bitch.

If you really feel you can't play with website, go somewhere else. Why go to the team that EMBARRASSED you? You don't want to get revenge, motherfucker? I mean, damn ....

All of Twitter seems to think it's a given they win the next 2-3 championships.
In the words of Lee Corso...."Not so fast my friend".
On paper, yes, they will be the favorites.
But Curry has had injury issues in the past and I could definitely see another injury derailing things.
Durant has also been sidelined with an injury as well.
Don't be so quick to just hand them the trophy already.
I remember people feeling the same way about that Lakers team when they added Payton and Malone (granted they were older at the time and past their prime).

This is going to hurt GS. Too much talent on a team can hurt it. Kind of like the 2012 Knicks.

Hey fellas what you thinking now about the move:hmm:

:lol2: :roflmao3: What a bitch. Going to the team that knocked you out the playoffs? Who does that shit? This is the softest move in the history of sports. Never thought KD would go out like this. This the type of shit he supposed to do at 35.

Who the fuck is going to take the ball to the rack in crunch time? All these cats going to do is sit outside shootings Js. No Bogut in the middle? Teams going to be going to the rack at will on them.
you still feeling like this?:hmm:

Dumb move...he should have signed a one deal with OKC and then did the free agent market all over again with the increased money next year.

And for those blaming Lebron I guess if it wasn't a media spectacle it never happened like when Garnett went to Boston to play with Pierce and Allen.

When GS doesn't win the title heads will explode and they won't....

We also can see Durant ain't as great as some thought he was...He isn't a team maker he can take his place as a role player..

what up, you still think its a "dumb move.....:hmm:

what up, you still think its a "dumb move.....:hmm:

I still think it was a bitch move...But it could have been worse. He could have just purchased a ring at the pawn shop.

I would suggest you wait until they win it though before you gloat...started that shit a little early last year so don't make the same mistake

All I can say is that Durant made his bed he is going to have to sleep on, because it will never be his team... He will never get the MVP's chants, not with Curry, Thompson and Green there...
He will never be mentioned for mvp again, not unless he puts up some unreal numbers, something I seriously doubt with Curry and Thompson healthy...
If they lose anything its going to be hell on high water with him at the bullseye.. If they fail to win it all its going to be a 100 times worse than the Heat losing to the Mavs, a hundred times worse than the dream team Lakers losing to the Piston, they will be the laughing stock of the NBA for years with Durant being the punch line...
But if they lose folks will say so what, matter fact folks will be saying they should have lost last year when the CAvs was injured and they know it also thats why they went out and got Durant..
But the big problem with this move will occur when Curry starts demanding to get paid like the superstar he is... If the Warriors were smart they would have adjusted his salary now rather than later, because once his wife starts noticing everyone on the squad is getting broke off and how the management went out of their way to take care of everyone's business except his, well that situation can get really messy really fast..

I just want to see who is going to be the players who sacrifices their stats for the benefit of the team winning... I know Curry is going to shoot when he is hot, so he is going to take the same amount of shots, Green is still going to be the pick and roll guy (he is still the best passer on the club) so he will still take the same amount of shots, Thompson is still going to be that guy running off of screens and like Curry shoots when he is hot...
The big question is, will Durant be good with 11 shots per game if not will the others be ok with them changing their system that was so successful to boost Durant shots...
This could be much worse than what Kevin Love and Chris Bosh had to go through..

Mostly every great team I know has no more than two great superstars, usually one great specialist and great roll players..
Superstars usually make roll players play better and roll payers make super stars play like the stars they are, even with the show time Lakers there was only two great superstars Kareem and Magic, the rest of the players including the great Worthy were forced to give up their greatness in order for that team to be great...
The Bulls had two superstars Jordan, Pippen, with Roodman the specialist super roll player.. You can go on and on year to year and see the same format repeating itself...
But in this day and age of video game basketball and fantasy sports, folks like to project numbers not based off the shots available but based off the shots available when they played on a team that allowed them to shoot at will..
The big fact that scares me most about Durant is that when he is not scoring big he isn't doing shit on the court, if that weren't the case there is no way they would have lost three strait the way they did..

I found your faggott ass comments:smh::smh:and there is more to come from your bitch ass; @Spectrum @Excelsior and others for the reminder to see this dumb shit!!!!

I still think it was a bitch move...But it could have been worse. He could have just purchased a ring at the pawn shop.

I would suggest you wait until they win it though before you gloat...started that shit a little early last year so don't make the same mistake
You didnt say it was a bitch move in the comment im referring to; you said it was a "dumb move".....I will ask again, do you still feel like this??? and also Im not gloating; Im asking you about your post that you made; please reread your post that you made and answer....

KD has fire power when he shoots or has his hand on every other possestion, but with this team there are going to be times where he will sit around not touching the ball for 8 or 9 mins... My question is how motivated and into the game is he going to be, under those situations... The thing about roll players they learn to do so much off of the ball..
Even players like J.R. Smith and Kevin Love, there may be spells where thy don't touch the ball for quarters, and yet when the ball is passed to them they have to be ready to fire and hit, even if they do not make their shot JR plays tough defense and Love helps out on the boards and the long outlet passes...
I just don't see Durant sitting around being productive, plus being a rhythm shooter he needs his touches in order to be productive..

Cavs just don't need to be desperate. Durant is trading one shoot-first PG for another. Everyone thinks it's sweet because of the great chemistry GS had. This is a MAJOR change. The thing with GS is all their pieces worked so well together.

I've said for years I thought Westbrook was the boss in OKC even though KD was the supposed number 1. I think KD thinks he can 'punk' Curry into taking a backseat. There will be problems when shit doesn't go according to KD's plan. Green is the one with Westbrook's heart on GS, and Green isn't top dog.

Watching things play out should be interesting. I just hope Cavs don't overreact to this shit.
What about these comments? you still feel the same way:hmm:

Son you have no clue to how real basketball works... I bet you really think that Durant is going to still average 27 pts and still take 22 shots per game while Curry, Green, Thompson still get their shots... :smh:
On paper maybe but in reality nope, more like Durant is going to average around 12 shots per game and with him shooting that little he is virtually useless...

Remember I am the same guy who said no to a Love for Durant hypothetical trade, due to the fact that both players would be forced to hide on at the wings for long periods of time, with out touches... But in Love case at least he will be grabbing rebounds and not just daydreaming..

:lol::lol::lol::lol::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

If Durant loses with G.S. he will go down as the biggest loser, losing on teams that had Westbrook, Ibaka, Harden and Jackson, and now this Warrior team with all the talent they have...
I tell you if things go wrong early the pressure on him to perform will be greater than the Laker dream team that flopped, and Durant could go down as an all time loser who couldn't win with all that talent..

You just cannot just wipe wash that horrible choke job acting like it didn't matter.... Like I said if Curry were to jump to the Cavs after coming back form three games down, he too would have been looked upon like a bitch..
A real man would have pride and would have been embarrassed about going out like a sucker especially to tag along as the number 4 option..
This means that KD will never be mentioned in the same breath as LeBron and Curry is going to have a hard time convincing people that he is on the same level as LeBron..
The Warriors may be known as a great team, and perhaps they will win, but as far as any of them being seen as all time great, nah, they are going to come off as pucks banding together to take on the bully...

Who was seriously beating them last season according to you... The difference between me and you, I know the games are won on the court and no one has ever won shit in July..
You on the other hand count your chickens before they hatch...
It should be disturbing to you that you seem to ride harder than the actual Warriors fans, who at least have enough sense to realize that I never said that the Warriors would never win. Instead they listened understanding that I said that Durant on the team may not be as sweet as people say or think....
Most of them realize that he is going to adjust and the transition may be a lot more difficult than if they were to sign someone like Whiteside instead...

A continuation of all of your dumb ass comments.......

Durant going to help their defense? Post scoring? Rebounding? Imo, adding another perimeter player doesn't guarantee GS championships.

They will still be a perimeter oriented team. Health and making low percentage shots in bunches will still be key to them winning, KD doesn't change this.

Time will tell. GS state won 73 games without KD and still lost the championship. KD needs his shots, who is going to sacrifice their game? Clay? Curry? Green? There is only 1 ball. This could go either way but I will lay odds on a implosion.

What you think now bro? any difference in your thought pattern??
