Durant signs with Warriors

Man i didnt think he was coming back. The team stinks... My reaction is solely in response to when and where he went.. not where he didnt go.

I actually liked the moves the Wizards made...Not too flashy and they really didn't have the appeal the major free agents would want to come here.
We get the dude from Orlando and Indiana to provide some depth off the bench in the front court which is something we did not have. I think the steal for us was getting Trey Burke, a young pg to back up John Wall.

I like the youth movement Scott Brooks is taking. I also think they are hoping Otto turns it around and can be the SF he was touted to be coming out of Georgetown

Anyone talking that tainted legacy bullshit has just bought into the bullshit the media puts out there.

Free agency is one of the few times players have control over their career. You get drafted, you have no say so. You get traded, you have no say so. Free agency allows for players to steer their careers where they want to go. Most of these owners are billionaires. They straight regardless. Superstar players have a finite time to get paid and establish their mark, and sadly, superstars are judged if they won a ring or not. Look at Mailman, Stockton, Ewing and Barkley. No one mentions their names without mentioning the fact they never won a ring.

The isolationism of the 80s and 90s are over. Players grew up together playing AAU ball. They are friends. They are brands. They are their own businesses. And they make decisions that are in their best interests and give nary a fuck what anyone else thinks. And good for them for doing it. Kudos to Durant for doing shit his way.

And if you want to buy into the media bullshit SAS is spewing about bandwagon – GSW lost this year after many said they got lucky the year prior. Durant can be the difference maker since the Cavs proved they were the best team.
I agree with you to some extent

Where was this defense when LeBron left the Cavs?

SAS is on something else because he basically reported that Durant was leaving early in the season and Durant basically called him a liar.

As others have said, worse move than the Decision...media kept hinting it but I didn't think this dude would go to the team that just bitch smacked him...Wizards were stupid for even trying...a guy with this kind of personality would never even think of trying to withstand the pressure to bring a title to his hometown...his life, his choice but GS of all squads when OKC just had them on the ropes and choked... :smh:

And then they got rid of a key piece of the team that accomplished that......

Man fuck the wizards.

And what exactly did the Warriors win this past year?
First loser award.

Flexing means getting paid while choosing where you want to play. KD had to waive his no-trade to go to Boston. And he waived it when he knew Ray Allen was going over there. He wanted a ring while still collecting his check.

I think the whole emo argument about players coming and going and linking up to win a chip is a by-product of the white media and the slave mentality they push on black athletes. Y'all need to chill and reprogram yourselves.

This ain't got shit to do with cacs. You cats need to stop making crying wolf about cacs when there are so many real issues with them. Athletes leave in free agency all the fucking time and have control over their careers and 99.9% of the time folks don't say shit.

This is about a person leaving a team that can basically take out the Warriors if this cat doesn't shoot them out the game and then he leaves. It's just fucking soft. It's weak. If KD were a cac and doing this shit, people would be saying the exact same thing. It's fucking weak.

Stop It, it's not even the same.

The league vetoed the CP3 deal because the league was the "owner" of the Hornets pending the sale to the new ownership.

The NBA felt they could get a better deal from the Clippers than that shit sandwich the Lakers offered and they did.

I don't get why people still talk about that trade. The Lakers deal was terrible.
Thank you

Don't confuse people with the facts

ok jokes aside for a second...

who cares how you win?

by that logic...

we should ALWAYS sh"t on that Lakers championship because the officials did the Kings so blatantly dirty...

should the Lakers have said we DO NOT want the win because of that?

Or the Spurs shortened season championship doesn't count because TECHNICALLY all the other championship teams played a full season?

Durant aint CHEAT the league himself his team the rules or anything...

its IN the CBA...

you don't think one of these ridiculous contracts that have just been signed gonna CRIPPLE A team?

but its in the game.

So what about the OKC GM trading Harden to Houston?

Shouldn't he be KILLED for that?

What kind of competitor is HE?????

he did MORE to derail KD and Westbrook career right?

But I NEVER hear HIM getting killed by OKC fans?

KD left cause he could and went to the best team available...

so if he went to Washington for 5 years

made his money got injured and retired and never won?

So Ya'll gonna call him a hometown hero all time great?

yeah OK

Bullshit! It was Durant's "hero ball hog" antics that made them lose to Golden State in the first place. They were kicking Golden States ass then all of the sudden KD can't make a shot and he's ball hogging the whole game. It's obvious now that Durant threw that game so he would get signed to Golden State. What a bum!
You are completely OVERLOOKING 10 years of history between KD & Westbrook... and just focusing on one, single Playoff Series.. and thinking 'that is the SOLE reason he left. :hmm:

I'd take CA over OK all day. (lol) That's cool. They TRADED Ibaka. Why would he, or anyone else for that matter, think he's CLOSER to a ring there now that he's gone? If a RING is what you want, wouldn't you view this decision by management as a huge step back?

He left to chase a ring, it's really that simple :dunno: I don't hate him for it, I'm not going to cry 'shit like this is ruining the game!' It is what it is bro, but if GS doesn't beat last year's record, they will hear it. If they don't win a chip, he will hear it... Let me find out KD joined GSW because of the based god curse

Who cares about Matt Barnes?

For anyone to compare this to what LeBron did is on crack... LeBron left the Cavs for a team that never went to the playoffs... For it to be remotely similar it would be like him leaving the Cavs to join the Lakers back then....
Even on the Heat they just had LeBron, Wade and Bosh with a bunch of scrubs...
So folks need to kill that shit saying LeBron went to a loaded team...

Man i didnt think he was coming back. The team stinks... My reaction is solely in response to when and where he went.. not where he didnt go.

and ive said from day 1 i thought that he'd sign a 1 year deal and then opt out with russ next year. that's what i firmly thought
this tells me russ might not even be on the thunder by the end of the year, you know how fucking dumb ass presti does.

..
LOL nigga you just going to lie right in your face huh?

Wade already had a ring somehow by never going to the playoffs lmao

im out

and i don't think its the same or comparable to lebron's for the record
but you can't just make shit up lol verifiable facts

Nobody is going to beat last years record for quite some time. It took forever for GS to beat the Bulls record. All they need to do is win the West and get to the Finals. Everything else will fall into place. The fact is Cleveland was fortunate to have a couple of balls bounce their way during the finals. Being down 3-1 was and is still the kiss of death. A suspension here, a key injury there and low and behold you have the greatest comeback ever. Yeah, I know a lot of Cav fans don't want to hear that shit but isn't in the truth? There's a reason why it's only happened in NBA history once. All those variables are what made it possible. Shit happens. However, there is a such thing as synergy in basketball and it'll be interesting to see if this actually works. Nothing is a given.

Yeah Bruh... Niggas are fucking annoying as hell always whining and bitching CAC this CAC that every time a brother makes a decision. It's like Dudes can't comprehend or think for themselves, but just Parrot nonsense they've heard constantly... Pathetic :smh:

So OKC has to trade Russ to the worst team in the league on trade deadline day, and hope he doesn't pull them out of the top 3 in the lottery, a la me in 2K franchise mode, am I right??

This decision makes me cherish the memory of watching GS fold in front of our eyes that much more, because it may be quiet for that for the next few years.

Or it might happen again!!

KD disappointed me with this shit

I thought he was different. For him to comment about Lebron back then makes this look even weaker.

Dudes might as well start buying themselves championship rings.
Maybe that's why you shouldn't talk until you're in the same position.

All I can say is that Durant made his bed he is going to have to sleep on, because it will never be his team... He will never get the MVP's chants, not with Curry, Thompson and Green there...
He will never be mentioned for mvp again, not unless he puts up some unreal numbers, something I seriously doubt with Curry and Thompson healthy...
If they lose anything its going to be hell on high water with him at the bullseye.. If they fail to win it all its going to be a 100 times worse than the Heat losing to the Mavs, a hundred times worse than the dream team Lakers losing to the Piston, they will be the laughing stock of the NBA for years with Durant being the punch line...
But if they lose folks will say so what, matter fact folks will be saying they should have lost last year when the CAvs was injured and they know it also thats why they went out and got Durant..
But the big problem with this move will occur when Curry starts demanding to get paid like the superstar he is... If the Warriors were smart they would have adjusted his salary now rather than later, because once his wife starts noticing everyone on the squad is getting broke off and how the management went out of their way to take care of everyone's business except his, well that situation can get really messy really fast..
