As we saw in places like LA in the early 2000s, it is always a losing proposition when star players like Curry try to defer to the lesser talented (or role players) like Durant so I don't expect the fall off the occur with the best player on the team.
With Thompson being a better catch and shoot player than Durant, I expect him to be second in PPG.
I hope GS doesn't try to push the pace to get enough possessions for everyone to eat on O because they would be getting away from what made them successful in the first place.

Umm that's no true looking at this GS team it will be Curry Klay and Durant with the lions share of the points.. Draymond will still do the dirty work and get his points that way.

Klay. But klay is such a great shooter he will get his 18 pts.
Curry will average about 23. Durant probably around 26. Klay around 18 a night.
Draymond will get some garbage pts with about 11 but rebound well.
They all do and more. Real shooters with fewer BETTER shots. Jordan said it best when asked how to average 30+ points in a game. He said 8, 8, 8 and 8.

Bosh averaged 18pts, 18pts, 16pts and 16pts in 4 seasons with Lebron. People criticized him to no end but those stats were very good.
In two seasons with Lebron, Kevin Love averaged 16pts in year 1 and 16pts in year 2. Love only problem was he defense. When he was not scoring he was a liability.
I assume Curry and Durant will average over 23 plus because they will have the ball more and Klay will be the 3rd option. With Klay he will score about 18 because he will hit about 2 threes a game plus some post points and free throws.

I get WHY you would think that but here's my take. Starting lineups don't get all their shots playing together. This is especially true with the Warriors. Curry, Klay, Green all get their minutes on the bench. It was the backup players that did a lot of damage. All you're doing is tossing Durant in the mix. There won't be a shortage of shots.
They changed their tune when light-skinned ninjas were on the throne. LeBron needed save the Black race from demelaninzation.

Curry, Thompson and Green spend a lot of time on the bench. Having Durant means more time on the bench for all of them. His acquisition basically eliminates triple teaming Curry. No one plays him straight up. That's why dudes are so salty.
