i remember someone posting a while back about recovering your bitcoin wallet.
i found an old wallet.dat file i had. fired up my old linux box, but the wallet file was corrupted.
i was able to get the file readable using the instructions here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25091.0
didn't realize this linux box only had a 75GB drive lmao. that filled up with the blockchain, so lost a day
as it happened while i was work. threw in a 650GB drive. added a symlink to that and started again..
another 24hrs to go.
i think i probably have 3BTC in that wallet. knock on wood i'm able to recover it.
