Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

i remember someone posting a while back about recovering your bitcoin wallet.
i found an old wallet.dat file i had. fired up my old linux box, but the wallet file was corrupted.
i was able to get the file readable using the instructions here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25091.0
didn't realize this linux box only had a 75GB drive lmao. that filled up with the blockchain, so lost a day
as it happened while i was work. threw in a 650GB drive. added a symlink to that and started again..
another 24hrs to go.

i think i probably have 3BTC in that wallet. knock on wood i'm able to recover it.

Ripple $348,705,526 $0.009326 37,388,960,792 XRP

they've trickled more ripple into the circulating supply...a little under 200 million...might explain why it's been locked @ $0.03-0.04

This is great news IMO. It means they are artificially keeping the price down. They won't be able to do that for long and when that stops it should increase value even more rapidly.

Man I hope you are right. I just purchased somemore last night. Trying to get up to 50k. This shit better get to $30 a share by 2020 or Im suing Bgol Lol.

^^^you didn't read the thread ..did you. a reasonable projection for the xrp is between 3-7 dollars. but buying 100k xrp would equal 100kUSD at 1 dollar value or 300 USD at 3 dollar value.

I don't think the coin will ever see more than 10 dollar value bc of the nature of its creation and the target market.

We will see. This is all speculation there is no telling what could happen

I still don't see y you think $10 is out of the question? How I do agree anything over is excessive. I also believe there is so much volume due to self interest.

brother...if it goes to 5 dollars and I'm still holding what I'm holding....I will meet you at my favorite carribean destination and buy what bottle you want....if this transition job comes through, I am going to straight throw 10k at ripple, 5 bitcoins, and see what happens.

Legalmoney inspired me to see a bigger picture of never havng to work again. my dream was to pay off the house and have 10 stacks of high society in credit union...LOL. imma stop fucking with banks.

Some of you who hold onto your coins like XRP, why don't you lend it in the mean time on Poloniex. You can earn a steady "guaranteed" rate of return daily. Just a suggestion.

People actually pay to trade using your coins. They have to have the same in coins in order to leverage yours and you can set your interest rate, usually at about .02% but some dudes getting a few percentage a month, forgot what the average returns were, but some may be interested.

Upon doing research don't expect XRP to go to high dollar. $5 is reasonable, 10 is a blessing. Anything over that lottery luck.

So Ripple will not have no where near the same impact as Bitcoin? I looked at the history of Bitcoin and that shit started at less than a penny I think and now it's 1k for just one... I'm still new to this so I may be comparing apples to oranges but damn. And yea I got to get over 50k probably 500k lol

If it gets to $1 then you have 50K from a a few thousand dollars. That isn't good enough?

I looked into it but didn't see anybody looking to borrow XRP.

May just be today, but when it was on the rise, there were many demands for it, or just throw some other coins on lending is the point. It's a more sound and lucrative return than a bank. That's the point.

Yeah I looked into it last night. I saw alot of people offering loans but none requesting loans. I suspect that will change once it gets hot again. I have most of mine in Kraken but if it gets lucrative enough, i'm going to transfer it to Polo to loan out.

Nah bruh it isn't gonna always be something in the loan demands window. Just throw your XRP up with a decent rate offer and somebody will bite. If you wanna test it go in and set the rate lower than the current loan offer rate and it will be on active loans in a heartbeat.

this is long but a good market analysis on BTC. it looks like this segwit is a go. if so, itll put a hurt on the other alt coins. they are expecting this soon. be vigilant. if I find anything rolling, ill let you know, but right after I make sure my orders are in...LOL.

Bruh...

I'm like 24 min into this video. What does this mean to Litecoin though?

Can't compare bitcoin to XRP. The epitome of the phrase "apples to oranges".

what I gather from watching it is that it was a race between btc and ltc to activate segwit. a lot of people were against segwit in the btc community and now the people who were opposing have been exposed as having an unfair advantage in the market and now that everyone knows, those who were fence sitting about segwit should vote to activate it. which will boost the price of bitcoin....
ltc will take a hit if bitcoin activates segwit first. it may even bury litecoin by market share and usability since btc is the dominate crypto-currency. but this guy is rebroadcasting the exposure info of tone vay ....putting cats on blast bc they stood to make a ton of money opposing segwit+btc.

Yo I made like a 1000 DOGE coin in a few hours of lending. I'm stocking up because you never know. Shit is extremely low that I have to.

Am I the only one using bitstamp? Kraken still hasn't verified my account so I opened a bitstamp account and they verified me in 3 days. Just did my wire transfer Thursday. What makes one site better than the other?

I'm in Coinbase, Bitstamp, Kraken and Poloneix.

I think its personal preference. The verification levels makes it uncomfortable for some. I started with Kraken, they took too long to verify me. While I was waiting on them I joined Polo, and Coinbase. I hopped on Bitstamp after they announced their promotion to trade XRP.

Out of these which one allows you to withdraw the most money?
