(Bloomberg) -- The Federal Reserve unveiled proposals for stablecoin issuers on Thursday, the latest step from regulators moving ahead with crypto rulemaking.

If finalized, one of the plans would require certain issuers to fully back their stablecoins with permissible reserve assets, such as short-term Treasury bills and other high-quality, liquid assets. It would also establish capital requirements for certain credit and operational risks of payment stablecoin activities.

Another measure released by the Fed on Thursday would establish an application process for banks applying to issue stablecoins, such as submitting a business plan and financial information, among other documents.

The proposals are subject to a 60 day comment period.

Trump-era regulators have moved to welcome crypto into the traditional banking space after a landmark stablecoin framework known as the Genius Act was signed into law last year.

For all the things I said were coming in past posts, was told we are here, may see some news publicly tomorrow about geopolitical changes or in banking finance, if not things will be by the 29th/30th. We will be in a different world. A lot happened this week behind the scenes. We'll see if it's spoken about tomorrow or not.

I know a lot of people use Tangem cards as well
But the onlty thing about them that concerns me a little bit
The "seedless" setup :dunno:
So you can't add a 25th word passphrase, for more security
Plus it's just a card (so no screen to see or confirm transactions from the device)
Therefore you have to trust that what you see on your cell phone is 100% accurate
