The smart play.Nah the OP made a valid point: this needs to be a place mark in history as to the moment we potentially changed our lives. And real shit OP I sincerely thank you for this thread as it changed my life, and that's no hyperbole.
I was able to invest into Polo and already pulled out our initial investment with positions all throughout Polo and savings of BTC and Etherueum in Coinbase. I could never have done this the traditional way.
But as to dissing Ripple, I don't see it as hate if people complain about its price action. Its logical when you know Ripple is a legit coin yet some shit coin for a video game makes the brother Spaceage $15K in one day
Once you get your investment out, then play with the house money. Again my position is just two weekends of beer money, so I'm not overly stressed. I still continue to educate myself on the Bitcoin and alt coins.

Because most transactions arent made via digital currencies (and havent been ever) I can see why you would think the way that you do. But because of the advancements in technology, I can also understand why folks would take a risk and invest in digital currencies.

Theres no such thing as a sure thing when it pertains to most stocks...imho. Entering into a financial transaction without a solid investment understanding is gambling. But from what Ive read, I dont think most of these guys are "trading noobs". Some may be....but for the most part a good number are aware of what may or may not happen.
Ripple is not planning to get rid of their stash in any significant way for at least the next 5 years. This means Ripple will continue to be, by far, the largest holder of XRP and therefore exercise complete control over the price (i.e. depress prices by selling more if XRP appreciates too much).
XRP's price, at least for the next 5 years, will never be allowed to fluctuate by organic market demand or coin pampers as long as Ripple Inc. acts as a central bank for this market.

Said another way, we will engage in distribution strategies that we expect will result in a stable and strengthening XRP exchange rate against other currencies. cats have been stating realistically that this'll hopefully be $1-3 coin @ best tho we have engaged in some wishful thinking @ times and again realistically speaking many have looked @ this as a 3-5 year investment...I can't tell if you're trying to "convince" us or yourself bcuz maybe you just don't have the $$$ to make such a minor investment which is basically "risk-free" for those who can spend the $$$ for such a low buy-in

Just remember bitcoin was worth 10 cents and has hit over $1300, all we need is a couple bucks lol..... Ripple is the best low risk high reward investment you can make right now...... That is why people are involved.....

Why waste your time explaining? This thread has hundreds of posts explaining everything. After reading it all if they still choose not to spend their money,they have the right not to. If they want to badmouth or clown us,let em. Posters like that just might be investing in Ripple and want attention,or just afraid to do it and don't want us to either. Do u think he is posting it to "save us" from a mistake? No. The tone of his post makes it obvious that he just wants attention. Let's keep this positive. Just ignore the naysayers. ripple = inside the financial system/ use different from BTC-money transferrance internationally for bank use/ low volatility, easy to regulate, already tested in japan and successful/ realistic expectations vary from 1USD to 3-5 USD up to an improbable 20 USD.
mathematically speaking for your return on investment (ROI). XRP is better. spend 100 dollars for 10,000 ripples at .01 price point. if price point goes to 1 USD. ROI = will result in upwards of 10000.00 USD. one would be a fool to overlook that kind of return even if it take 5-8 years like BTC. if one considers capital gains taxes apply at the < 3 year mark. after 5 years, take the profit and reinvest into another wealth building vehicle such as real estate to minimize tax penalty. ripple help promulgate the system the banks are trying to retain control over whereas bitcoin does the exact opposite. it takes control from the banks. now all of this may become a moot pont if something drastic happens and world wide one currency is launched and the world is force to use it. but barring anything that extreme, alt-coins work on the same principle as fiat money but in a different and very dynamic operating system.

Ebay... I use the Fidelity app to manage my 401k and to stock trade... I got lucky with that ebay trade... It was random
kraken...I was gonna do a ripple wallet but said fuck it...and I don't feel comfortable w/ poloniex but I still have an account w/ them in case I change my mind
ya it happened w/ mt. gox and I was planning initially on storing some ripple offline...but then just got lazy about it...I really should do it...it'd be the wise thing to do
